Freemium business models in Flash games will be the death of the industry. This would be fine for a mobile device, but the pay-to-win/progress aspect just doesn't cut it on PC.
after 19 attempts i beat Atropos, so I'll share my loadout and tactics.
First off - The loadout.
4 rockets, each with split and homing.
Lv.5 Red hull with a shield, warp core and leech bombs.
Leech bombs act as health potions.
Next - The battle.
The number one tip for fighting this boss is "PATIENCE". Forget about his health and just aim to survive for as long as possible. If you have homing equipped you don't even have to worry about aim.
Take note of his attacks and how to dodge them with minimal loss of life.
Once you get down to his head/brain, it gets a whole lot harder. His attacks can kill extremely quickly, but remember just focus on dodging them while being patient and you'll be fine. It WILL take a long time, but it is not impossible.
Atropos definitely needs to be nerfed. Getting to his final form takes effort, but is possible... but after that almost all of his moves will kill you in a few seconds. Especially the one that puts two of the shooting orbs around you. Each shot hits about 300hp, give or take, and there is at least 4-5 in each flurry. I understand why it is considered 'Unbeatable'.
Other than the over powered bosses, this game is great in most respects, not too CPU intensive yet gorgeous. The soundtrack fits brilliantly with the games atmosphere. 4/5 stars, only because of the great difficulty involved with the last few bosses.
A bunch of the music in this game are similar to that of the final fantasy franchise but i guess that would be because of the name being so similar, anyway its not that big of a deal since the game and music are still on the internet rather than being taken down due to copyright claims and lawsuits etc.
