oops. sorry about the velana one. my bad. still, she seems to cheat on hard...she will ALWAYS kill my minotaur (stone rain? wtf?) the very last turn before I'd kill her.
still
I love this, but why is Pseudo getting busy with this platform stuff instead of working on Mardek? Why must he keep us Mardek hardcore fanboys waiting for so long? Why, oh why, whyyjkyyyy?
Game is a bit too easy. I've never seen the enemy use Drill Bombs or Meteor, which are two of the best weapons. Also, Meteor is overpowered, since you can fire it from anywhere, killing part of the "gravity fun". I had to set my team to max 100 hp and 50% accuracy to have some kind of challenge.
Damn them muffins. The worst thing about them is that you can hardly control the direction of your pie tower when you have to stack like 5 of them in a row, forcing you to crash into a bomb..
I completed one game with each clan. I find they're rather balanced, except for Great Sea, which is considerably underpowered (they're the defensive guys in a game where it's best to just attack). Also, Burning Hill's spell that doubles their attack power makes them almost invincible by endgame. They can only be stopped by Freeze Defend or Paralyze, if I remember well. Other than that it's a certain OHKO. That's kinda broken. All in all, my favorite clan was Dark Wood - let the enemy nearly kill you (be at under 30 hp), then exchange life and use Blood Bath. Fun tactic.
I can't ever win against the guy who tries to kill you before the Young Mage Contest (usually Corruptor of Poison Water)! Is he supposed to be unbeatable?
My thoughts on playing it the second time : Replay value is good. Different story options and different clans make it worthwhile. There could be more story variation by endgame and some more unique spells (and you wouldn't be able to have them all), but then again I think I'll still play a 3rd time!
Wow, couldn't stop playing until the very end. Much addictive. Became a bit too easy by the time I had all my skills mastered (I figured out a 100% win strategy), but still challenging at times and truly entertaining.
Third time playing, couldn't buy a new building (had the cash, clicked on buy and nothing happened), so I refreshed the page; when I chose to continue my game it froze and will keep freezing now. Could it be a problem with Chrome or something?
Ok, this HAS to be horribly glitched. I saved up about $1000 from the first store, then moved to the $750 one and all of sudden lost all my objects, wasn't refunded for my stock AND ended up with -$233. Wtf..
Don't know if this a glitch, but the game somehow allowed me buy a property I couldn't afford, so I wound up with negative cash and couldn't make any for not having any CDs anymore!
Apparently, after you get all gloopes in the bestiary, regular queens won't spawn anymore, only razor queens. This makes the award for killing a queen impossible to get if you hadn't killed it before, or at least it seems.
This is the best web game I've ever played. Probably because it feels more like a console game - and a classic one in that matter - than a flash game. I'd like to congratulate the developer both on making a fantastic rpg and on writing some insanely fun dialogue, and on the overall effort, which for sure wasn't small.
Wow. Finally beat lvl.9 on normal. Here's the strategy I used in case anyone is stuck on that level:
1. Starting by securing every building you can, particularly sea and ground control and the southern warfactory.
2. Invest all your money in battle cruisers and play very defensively until you've cleared most blue forces [this should take some time]
3. When your cruisers have destroyed most of the enemy force, go aggressive and start moving on and capturing stuff, etc. until you win :p
The lose condition against Velana is: :"Lose your minotaur commander"
