@dedertree, I have the same problem using chrome. Repeated reloads (F5) will eventually allow you to play. You will likely have to do that every time you log in. I haven't tried a different browser. Once you get into the game, you will likely still have to go through a few reloads to recognize your player name, and maybe more to get your buttons and preferences back. Changing to firefox is reported to solve the problem. I haven't done that. It's super anoying if you log in a few times/day. Doing the challenges will also trigger loss of user name (joe doe problem). reloads required to get back to playing.
Please try using Firefox if you experience this issue - for many people, moving to FF resolves the issue. We will still try to figure out the Chrome solution, but we have no ETA at this time of when we'll be able to find some time to debug this.
Chat works currently on my end - usually a refresh or two might fix it for you, otherwise I'd recommend at least trying this: Go to settings, change something, save settings, refresh - does it maybe fix the chat?
If that doesn't help, it has to be something related to your cookies/browser settings/anti virus etc. In which case I'd recommend, at least for a test, to turn off any browser protection/antivirus etc. and see if that helps. <- Obviously turn any of that back up after the test, but at least might help isolate the issue, and if it fixes you, give you a choice if you might want to add an exception for warclicks.com domain.
my recent game local saves are not working for the past couple of days. The saves won't load. There is data in the saved files. I can load a saved game from a few days ago, but the most recent don't work. The game just starts at the begining. I saved several time yesterday and none of them work.
