A great concept for a browser game mired by so, so many problems. For starters: poor grammar ("doesn’t give many revenue"), buggy and a very slow pace. Mall popularity languishes and you have no idea why. No customers = no profits so you might want to transfer funds to invest in your struggling business. Except there is a 50k transfer limit. This means you can have $$$ tied up somewhere you don't care about whilst your new enterprise stagnates. Progress is slow because of this; from a 50k injection you may invest in two or three things that the game recommends in the form of "missions" (Often unhelpful, I was told to fully upgrade my arcade only to see it stagnate; before customers were happy to pay the cheap prices but no one was happy with the jacked up rates. Missions often feel ill thought out and counter-intuitive). Following this dubious investment you have to sit tight while the game ticks over seven days which takes an age thanks to the tediously slow 3x speed.
2 nil up in FA cup round 3 replay, opposition score 2 in last 10 minutes. fffffffuuuu, but ok. Extra time, score 2 more. Opposition score three more in the second half, win 5-4. This sin't the first time it's happened and it feels like cup matches especially are rigged against you
It does feel like the game conspires against you. I was 5 nil up on aggregate in the Spanish Cup, so the other side (a team at the bottom of the league, I was Barca) needed 6 to win in the second leg. And guess what happened, within about 5 seconds they had 3, before I'd even had any influence on the game.
Made it to November 2114. Made close to half a million before I let the game fizzle out. Don't over expand or over spend and you'll be fine. Remember: unless something is having a direct negative effect on your profits, ignore it. In this spirit, screw the workers, the fat people and the eco-hippies. Also, watch how many pastures you have. Owning everything at once only serves as a drain on your profits. Stick three cows in a few pastures, when the land begins to becomr less arable (40% or less) sell it, buy somewhere else and wait for it to heal. Repeat this and you'll never run out of healthy patches of land. It's easier to budget for too. For marketing, the movie deal is worth the money and you'll want it engaged most of the time when you're up and running. Until then, get by with the minimum. As long as you're balancing your books you only want one cashier and grill worker. Expand as your costs demand.
A cool feature for the next iteration of this would be when you finish a level, you could re-watch the history of your game at 10x the original speed. You'd be able to see how you build up from nothing to a sprawling network.
Phew, December 9 is pretty intense. Decided to power through without building any SAMS and just managed to push through to the totems with 20 seconds to spare before the spore attack. They powered up, and seconds later the spores hit home, destroying my entire network, but it was ok since I was already warping out. Awesome.
Excellent work! We've neutralised the creeper to the point that they're no longer a credible threat. Our infrastructure is solid, we are generating enough power to last here for an indefinite period. Good job, private. Maybe we can rebuild something here. Mission accomplished.
Actually, never mind. Prepare to teleport out of here into an unknown, and almost certainly hostile territory!
Good game, but too long. It stopped being challenging or fun around level 15. It just became a slog to fulfil the conditions to progress to the next level, so I stopped playing. I'd say either limit to at most 20 levels, or make it easier to progress to the next stage without having to do 25 research tasks each time.
Hey, if you have completely upgraded and achieved everything but the "Upgrade Complete" and "Champion" medal then your game has bugged. Just hit refresh and you'll get "Upgrade Complete" when it reloads and be able to fight the boss for "Champion". :)
the thing i find most frustrating about this game is how it feels like there are ten times as many health and cash pick ups as fuel. I don't need any more money but I'm desperately in need of fuel, yet I'm lucky if I come across 10 cans in any run through
