Solid game all around, Hyperion felt challenging but beatable, and all of the levels and bosses felt balanced until I got to atropos, and he's ridiculous. Even with slow-mo I can't dodge a lot of his attacks because he sends them in a wall. I haven't developed any games, but there's a quote I think applies here: "If, as a developer, you feel your game is just challenging enough, it's way too hard." After around 20 attempts on him, with only twice removing all his armor, I'm giving up, but the game still gets a 4/5.
Just a suggestion, as our "guild" levels up, why not show us what kind of damage/healing/rage mitigation that our allies our doing? I'm at a level 5 guild and I can't tell that they do more damage than a level 1.
This is kind of a disappointment, far far more grinding than the previous games and it feels less fulfilling. When you got to a higher level in previous games, the levels would go faster and you'd gain more xp faster, though it would be much harder. Now, it seems no matter what level you are it goes at the same pace, some of the training takes forever and gives almost nothing, and it's just generally unfun. I'd suggest anyone who wants more DuckLife just play DuckLife 2 and mentally change every 2 to a 4.
Quick bug report, just finished the level using only my champion and still got the "Star Soldier Badge", for getting a bunch of kills with a single non-champion unit. Great game overall.
It would be nice to know some of the underlying stuff, like what all the stats/spells do, and, more importantly, at least a vague idea of when we get to ascend, as it seems somewhat random, or flag an item slot for our character to prioritize.
Here's my hint to unfailingly beat the nightmare: get regen and hardy. Stand still. Win. Not joking, though occasionally you'll have to jump once to collect the gems. It's a very easy way to get the heartbreaker achiev, and can be easily accomplished on the first night. Other than that amazing game, looking forward to the sequel.
The paladin is unbalanced. Nothing can stop you when you freely regenerate large amounts of mana during combat and can heal/resurrect whenever you want, never mind having a bunch of health, armor, and damage. Played through with paladin/mage and never had troubles, and the final boss was a joke.
One of the things that would, in my opinion, make this game 10x better is a raise to level button. Rather than clicking and hoping that the game correctly interprets where you want the land to be you just tell it where you want any click you make to take the land. Other than that combat seems to take a long time and perhaps building stuff should take longer than instantly.
This is a great game, most of the time. 63/64 and about to punch someone. I feel that adding some way of finding extra pixels, such as after 5 minutes of not finding anything the game will tell you where the last one appropriate for your evolution is, or just adding a few more pixels would make it much better. This game seems to be one of the ones that mistakes frustration and/or confusion for difficulty and justifies itself as a hard game.
Awesome game, though the graphics and sound diminish it a bit. Here's a tip: upgrade nothing but the cookie's speed, then you'll be able to teleport faster than you fall, allowing the levels to be a breeze. 5/5
My pizza was half mayo, quarter mayo and pickle, quarter mayo and peas, with a generous helping of mayo on top of the cheese, worth -86 points. Up from 1/5 to 2/5 for a mild funny factor.
Choppy and repetitive, but not a terrible game, just a bit unfinished; sound, clearer objectives, and perhaps choosing a battle that didn't make the player lose no matter what would make it a pretty good game.
It's fun, but it sucks that unless the tiles match up exactly you can't go through. I feel that this would be better if you let the players go through any tiles as long as there was free space for them.
Incredibly good idea behind it, somewhat poor execution. The fact that crashing any ship into any other ship is a 1 hit kill is bothersome, because it seems like just after you send in a nice missile carrier, there's a fleet of suicidal drones waiting to take it away. something like a 3 to 1 ratio on damage to health might be nice, making it so some of the things aren't quite as annoying. All in all it's a solid shooter, I'd like to see a sequel with a few upgrades that I think could be a 5/5. But this game gets a 4/5 for now.
