Played through 1-X. No difficulty. 2-X is harder, but still doable. Running through the short levels up to 3-X, and I'm feeling pretty good. Read the title of the final short level. Worry begins. 3-X hits. Mother of god. What kind of sadism am I experiencing? My soul is crushed. I shall weep for thousands of years.
This game is just brilliant. The only flaw is that the game is too short! Even so, it has near endless replay value, and the singleplayer can be used to create any number of tactical situations.
The art style is lovely. The tri-color approach really caught my eye, and the splatter effect really added to the game.
The voice acting is solid, and the narrator is great. As a bonus, you get a history lesson!
Overall, the game was well implemented, simple, and elegant. One of the best flash games I've ever played, 5/5.
This was just solid brilliance. Incredible game, simple, yet challenging. The art style fit perfectly. The music worked well. This is the sort of thing we need more of. Solid 5/5.
Great concept, Love the color scheme, and the transitions. As others have mentioned it would be nice to be capable of moving tiles around on the board, but I also see how that could be part of the games concept. I also have an issue with the inability to solve the puzzles right off the bat. Without trial and error, there seems to be no way to solve the puzzles. There is no formula to figure out (i.e. "tile A must go here because it needs to touch these three tiles, and there is no other position in which it can do so"). There are levels which allow for this type of solving, but not many. I would prefer if all of them allowed it. Overall, a great concept with some slight flaws. I rate 4/5
Noticing some serious responsiveness problems. For some reason my mech will start walking forward randomly, the same thing happens for my squad. Quite often, weapons will not fire. This seems to happen when smoke guns are fired. Is there a way to make it less laggy?
Is there a way to restore saves? I just lost my progress. I opened up Kongregate, but all I was not logged in. The game started, and then I logged in. It saved (I did not know this) and started the tutorial. I then closed the page and opened it again, in order to play on the game that I had worked for. The game reset to the beginning. I really want to be able to restore saves to get my game back.
I am not the rhythm game type, but I had to rate this game 5/5 because it was hard, and incredibly gratifying to complete a level. Everything was perfect, and when you screwed up, you knew it was your fault. I loved it.
This game is the approximate equivalent of jumping out of an airplane while you are tripping, totally hammered, falling into a rave, and blasting every skrillex track at once.
Thank you for catching this one! You're the first to notice! (I'm still waiting for someone to catch the Chanel 5 reference)
