Hey ches. How far behind do you plan to make this version from the beta? Also is it possible to copy my old key to the new game? Glad to see the game is back into full swing!
I feel the need to illuminate on the benefits of the upgrades and the illusion surrounding dreadnoughts. If you can get early DNs, then the money they produce will be higher than how quickly costs rise between DN 50-300, depending on your PPI and percent benefit per ascension. Initially they look amazing, but after a certain point they are far too expensive. On the second stage with 55 upgrades, there are no upgrades for DN, so other ships can produce more money than a DN itself, especially with the late upgrades. I have 520 battleships producing 75 septillion and 500 gunships making 90 septillion, while 560 DNs are producing only 29 septillion. Those gunships are making triple that of the "all-replacing DNs." Trust me, they are not. You simple have to invest in more of the other ships and the game will play much faster than just buying tens of DNs. Plus, that 100 button is very useful for buying things in bulk. Use it. It'll only take half a minute to buy 500 of every ship except DNs.
Before I started this game, I thought it would be another stupidly slow idle game which is aimed at destroying your mouse by clicking thousands of times. We already have enough of these in Kongregate, and they all are demon spawn of Cookie Clicker. But then I tried this one, and I was pleased to see a different game. Little clicking, nice animations and graphics, actual music and sound, and more than 1 minigame thing. The upgrades are slow, but it's an idle game. I'm glad to see a departure from the Cookie Clicker formula.
The game is amazing at what it does, but this game commits one of the worst sins. The exp system is blatantly obviously there just for the money. There is absolutely no other reason it's there. Sure, other games put an exp system and want you to pay to make things go faster, but progression is satisfying in those games. In here, it's absolutely useless, and it's just there obviously for the moola.
"Mr. Pяэsidэnt, we нave a нuge problэm with infэstation! Zombiэs, everywнэre! I counted tens of thousands! What sнould wэ do?"
"We should drop supply crates to this one old man trying to survive."
Okay well I have been playing this game for an extended amount of time and got diamond on only the first area (5 levels). So, here are my thoughts.
As everyone mentioned, this game is TOO GRINDY! The costs are unnecessarily high, requiring you to grind for cash. The upgrade system is deliberately made to revolve around the microtransaction system. The combat is also very much lame in the first few levels and only starts to improve with stage 3. But when you do begin to unlock high tiered attacks, it feels satisfying. Both arms maxed with darts and laser core maxed feels amazing. But, again, it takes a while to get there. The bloon formations were pretty cool, especially stage 4 ones, but just about every other level has some pretty nice visuals. But then we get to utilities. No full screen, no audio sliders (just muting isn't good enough), and very vague descriptions of all the abilities (no layer pop values) sets the bar low.
I'd give this game a 2/5. The grind is the killer here.
My clothing is made of rubber that cannot be ripped; it automatically adjusts to my Pilgrim's size as he eats his way to 16,294 Pounds. (Taken name - 50000cal)
Minigun Level 1: Very Fast Firing Minigun with Mediocre damage. Minigun Level 2: Same speed, slightly more damage. Allows Blocking Bubbles to spawn, which, self explanatory, blocks enemy bullets. They are very fragile, however.
Minigun level 3: Slightly faster, slightly more damage.
Minigun Level 4: Shoots Slow but Powerful Discus and Ludicrously fast Arrows instead of bullets. Allows spawning of bubbles which increases arrow size, damage, and gives penetration.
Minigun Level 5: Fires twice as much Discus and Bubble. Damage slightly increased.
$10 for a 4th worker... could live. $20 for a fifth worker alone? Thats way too much, as if $10 wasnt enough! The price is just ridiculous. And the price for all 10 Increased Packing Skills upgrades would cost you at around a smart estimation of $27. HOLY HELL.
The numbers on top of the boss have a meaning. If we use a sort of decoder, say 1 is A, 2 is B, 3 is C, and so on... and using the dots as separate letters, the numbers on top, which are 12.9.11.5. 1. 2.15.19.19, spells out LIKE A BOSS.
Every time i see "Free To Play" as a tag or in the description, I know right away that it has micro transactions. Sometimes, they are ok. But this is just obsene. I need to pay real life money to open chests, and to pick up loot? I wont rant about the core gameplay when this kind of micro transaction exists. It just completely kills the game. You want this. We dont. If we dont want this, you would want to remake this if you want to get some money out of this.
