One thing about the collision I don't like: WHY oh WHY do we take damage from hitting the shooting things? You've put them on the ceiling of everything, and a double jump can unfairly send you flying into one that you never saw to begin with. Think of it like this: in real life, it's not the gun that hurts you, it's the bullet coming out of the gun. Touching a gun doesn't hurt you.
1/5 for the BPM upgrade. YOU COULD KILL SOMEONE WITH A HEART CONDITION. It doesn't matter that I'm slightly jolted. This isn't about me. This is about you potentially doing harm to people, you cheeserider.
Meh, this game feels tedious and repetitive. It's not BAD, it's just not GOOD. Playable, but dull, and slow paced. I can't believe this is actually anywhere in the running for top game. O_o
@RageGuy: That protest does not make any sense with the severe limits imposed, and I think that if anyone but Nerdook had made this game, you wouldn't be arguing. This game gives you five slots for mercenaries. Only five, no more no less. It's not as though more money would make me capable of spamming my enemy with endless drones or something. It would just allow me to compete, instead of being smashed because of the severe monetary deficit I'm seeing by level 5. There's challenge, and then there's, "Ugh, f*** this game". This game hits the latter note.
Sorry, but I don't think that the rewards are high enough. I've tried playing and replaying the game bout three times now, and even when you beat the opponent with perfect HP, in only a few rounds, it's still not even enough to upgrade your whole squad. Somethin' ain't right about that. Could be a great game, but needs just a liiiittle more cash dispensed for my tastes. And why would you handicap someone by collecting as tax etc, etc, when they're obviously doing poorly already? I understand the desire to put a penalty against people who are lazy and grind by losing purposefully, but maybe you could limit it to three three losses on the same level instead of three losses total. Actually- no- just make the rewards a little bit better so that if I absolutely smash my opponent, I feel like I actually got paid well instead of just... "meh". 3/5 this time. :/
This game could have taken me 2 hours, and been awesome.
Instead, it took 2 *days* (three different sittings) because I had to sit there and wait for the sugar to make it's slow decline. Had to find stuff to do while waiting, because it's not fun to just sit there and watch a foregone conclusion happen. And I'm tired of my sugar getting caught on a one-pixel-high bump in my line, so make a line tool, too. Please, don't be one of those game creators who never improves upon his game. PUT IN FAST FORWARD BUTTONS AND LINE TOOLS.
Uh.
How am I supposed to complete a level if all the platforms sink so quickly? I'm stuck on one level where even if I diligently protect the highest platform, it's still going down faster than a... well, it's going down FAST. You really need to put in an explanation as to what effects platform height, other than buying that ground upgrade. One would assume an upgrade shouldn't be NECESSARY to complete a level.....
