Hmm, If I have a size 1 amp, and my bus is 7/8 full, why can't I get a size 2 amp? If I'm not completely misstaken, you free up 1 space when you remove the old amp (6/8) and the new amp should fit... >.<
Was able to complete the five caves in the end - that little goblin kept running past my units and one shot my castle until I sent the Phoenix in first and then moved up slowly with mermaids pushing him back. I never did managed to unlock the Witch unit though, even though I've completed the campain with all heroes. It was only the very first campain that was hard. After that you had some level 5 units and you could just defense farm exp/gold in the lower caves until level 30 and enough gold to upgrade everything, complete the campain and repeat with another hero. After spending two workdays with this game, I'm giving it 5/5 due to the fact it kept my interest for that long! :)
Having played just a little bit, my first impression is that the enemy always have the advantage. When I attack they start with 16 odd units while I have 0, that's fine they're already there. But when I'm attacked they also start with 16 units and just walk straight in and kill my little hero and the two units that has managed to spawn...
I'll play more and see how it goes.
I just run out of HP long before you can get to the first shop and hope you can sell enough crap to get an expensive potion that heal me for 20%... Where's the balance??
Since the "high level" enemies have so high defences and hit so hard, it seems like it so much better to stack def/res than holding on to exotic stuff like Leech. Even though I got a 60 attack weapon, my damage is quite low compared to what they hit me for. Survive long enough and slowly grind them down...
With all the "Missed, missed, missed" so prevalent in this game series, rolling a mana dependent character seems doomed by definition. Still it took me 130 weeks of combat training and gold farming, just to be able to hit the mobs in the first few dungeons consistently... Tripple the mana pool and it just might be possible to do that with magic attacks. :P
