I've followed your tut's to the letter (and they are awesome I might add), but for some reason when I collect the power up on my game I made, its also kills the Player. A little help? Thanks.
Be careful with your collision groups. You likely have the player set to die when it collides with any "actor", so if you have the power-up set to be an "actor", it will kill the player. A workaround is to make a new collision group for the power-up that will collide with the player so that you can avoid that issue entirely (similarly to how we handled bullets in 4).
Alright! I was worried that most people wouldn't get to that part. Ill add another zone with new enemies in a few days.
Thanks for the feedback Ziero :D
I think a save feature would ruin the overall challenge of the game, now that I think about it. In a previous comment I stated that I wish there was a save feature, but now I don't think so. Not necessarily a "Save Game" feature, but at least it should save what titles you have unlocked. That way you can come back later and play with the titles you have unlocked, instead of having to play through again to unlock them.
This game is great. Loved it. It really brings a new element to dealing with zombies. It was great to see that perhaps zombies can be manipulated. And the voice acting really brought the story home. 5/5 from me.
I think the man with the Hat and the Apple was representing God, who saw Loondon as a city full of sinners. He helped Jonah escape because Jonah was innocent. Instead Jonah sacrificed himself to save his friend, and in turn, the whole city. Beautiful, but sad, story. Stunning artwork. Great job.
Nice job for a first game. I really have to say that it was nice, even if I know how you made it... Stencyl tutorials, right? That's fine, no problem. Nice and colorful. Progressively gets harder, good. Simple controls. All great building blocks for a game. Now I would like to see a title screen, maybe in game tutorial (or at least a controls menu on the title screen), and WASD support. I'll give it a 4/5, because of the effort put in to actually making it. So now its time to see more maybe. How about some upgrades, that would be cool. Great job, again.
Thanks a lot Ziero. That feedback was very helpful :)
Yes, the Stencyl Tutorials did help a lot, and I will be updating this game with a title screen within a couple of days, although i am currently working on adding highscores
Great game, I would like to see a sequel. Or at least badges, but I know the Kongregate people are responsible for adding badges, as long as you guys use their API... So, anyways, great game, 5/5 from me.
