I gave it one hell of a try and tried to overlook the mass text and no actyual thinking elements at all, but it dragged on and in the end i found myselkf watching the timer ticking during the battles as more entertaining...
@Destriach - Using the a* algortyhm is another perfectly valid way indeed. i assume you're talking about the manhatton method. You still need to impliment walls or (Unpassable) squares. but i agree that is another perfectly valid fix.
Another problem with the game is with the sound turned off during the movie sequences the sound still plays and occasionally during battles the gunshots are still heard...
I have toi disagree with a development choice here.
Zombies cannot phase through walls.
I read the comment explaining the developer said it would be too "Troublesome" to modify, i'd say dont release it then. If you cant be bothered creating an array of bools named isWall for the co-ordinates of the map and having the zombies move check refference it with a simple if statement, then dont make excuses. Its obvious that the system is already in place as the hero can not phase through the walls. My opinions on this are he is lazy.
I can see the optential of a good game here. Its just saddening the developer didnt care to update an obvious bug, so i'll have to lower my rating for this game for that purpose alone.
I have to make one comment about this.
I dont mind stickmen graphics, but it feels the background had so much work put into it and the enemies were a day job...
this game is painful to play and painful to listen to as this is one of the worst of tim minchins performances of the song, seriously, find a live version instead...
when you make a game, it should not be in its entirity "Click next, alternate left and right arrows, done".
i call this a pathetic excuse for a "game".
Wow, not even crediting rpg maker XP's RTP graphics O.o
There are some from other sources but i know my rpg makers graphics, i would like to see you credit them and not assume all credit of sprites to "Kier Brown".
should I not be concerned about Anna when i find then HANGING in the 2nd floor of some apartment surrounded by zombies AND another survivor?!
Jeez, you'd think with the combat rifle he was holding he'd at least talk Anna into NOT hanging themselves. (Granted i had an hour to go before the ferry left).
Completly unknown?!
There i stand on my final day, having become a master of carpentry, donning the sword of legends, having beaten every cave completly, master of combat. I head out into the world and become comepltly unknown O.o.
yeeeeah...
decent enough gfame but heavily unbalanced.
the metal evolve2 skill super booster made it possible for me to win the game with minimal skills lol
the maze isnt that hard, a little tedious but not hard at all.
I found myself only needing to check the walkthrough on one part of it, the lockers. Other than that a decent game
Hmmm... Im gonna review this game overall... (Except sound as i wasnt listening to anything)
The gameplay functions rather well, one of the best features about the game is that it works with the surroundings and the maps are well planned.
Graphics are poor, i knwo it goes for a minimilist style but it didnt pull off too well, at best i can say it is below average for the style.
the story to the game is pretty much work it out for yourself, which on occasion is ok, we can gather we go into hell to reclaim the soul of some departed person, but the ending does nothing. i would have at least made the guy look back for a second.
SO OVERALL, i can only rate the game 2/5, the games only redeeming feature is it works.
on my speed run on lvl 20 i had a very unusual tactic :P use the plane like a mace with a massive spin and i mashed the top ball and snuck through :P though for my perfect run i used the grapple on the middle strut and spun through the gap :P
