Can anyone tell m how to pass the level where Kathryn is in a dark room and the lazer kills her everytime she blows a circle of smoke?

I'm going to be brutally honest here:
I thought ITCOM was pretty bad. It had a simple and unoriginal mechanic, its writing was a bit pretentious, and I saw the 'twist' ending coming a mile away. I absolutely love your games and your writing, but that was by far my least favorite of the bunch. This game, on the other hand, is unquestionably brilliant. I'm only halfway through, but the mechanics are interesting and highly original, the writing is both entertaining and insightful, and the premise is beautifully realized in the way you join the story with the level design. On a technical level, you turned what is essentially a series of escort missions into something fun and enjoyable, which is so amazing that I'm surprised every single comment doesn't mention it, and I have yet to encounter a single stage that either overstays its welcome or presents an unfair challenge. Even though I'm not done yet, I have to take my hat off to you. Magnificent work.

Wow! The last level for ch.5 really got to me! It immediately reminded me of The Company of Myself, and it took me a few seconds to realize that it was. Great game! :)

So at the end did you kill her, as it was made out to have been in 'the company of myself' or forget her (thinking she was dead)? I think clip art ruins storyline! but again 10/10 for storyline and gameplay.

Kath must've died violently; the meadow seems to be a graveyard headstones. Then there is bloody palm prints all over the dirt. The mystery remains, how did Kath really die?

Jack did not get that if he turned on the switch, kathryn will die, and he did not also remember what had happened...before that he just told her !see you later! and kath agreed WTF ending!! so like sad and unimaginable?

>I really hate the puff (circle smoke) its so hard to time... (for Me)
Same. REALLY takes away from the story. I don't think I'll even finish the game, which is sad because I LOVE the other games by 2D (esp. Company of Myself)

I love this game the story makes you feel so sad... but the levels make you feel like you want to just smash your space button and kick the monitor

Got over my problem, and... I really want to cry now. The Company of Myself put it in a softer and more mysterious perspective, but Fixation showed what actually happened. I guess that the Company of Myself was a lot more simpler because that was how Jack viewed the world. Huh. Now that I think about it, if Henry died, then who is the new psychologist? And has Jack done this many times? Because when they meet in the cave, he says that he has been in many relationships before.

Help please... I didn't finish the game yet and want to finish it, but I accidentally enabled a cheat that gave me bible verses ._. I searched it up and found out that to set it to default you had to write gimmiedatstoryline in the cheat code box, but it was invalid! Help?

4-4 almost made me ragequit, but the story is good the controls are smooth, and the jokes are rather funny ( i laughed at the PETA joke harder than i should). 5*

I've been putting this game off for over a year now I guess.
Because I knew it'd be the type of game I'd have to sit and just enjoy. Which I did, this and CoM are just beautiful, the type of games where the puzzles blend in, I didn't notice the puzzles for ages, I simply just enjoyed the game. Major kudos, I'm just going to go ponder my life and cry a little.
Thank you

WWHYYYYY The company of myself was sad enough and now this!?!?! I'm seirously going to cry v.v I love these stories but I can't sad endings Dx

The lasers are quite literally metaphorical, When katheryn is sad, she dies bcuz of them. When she is happy, you can walk right through them

...Jack said that it is Tuesday and it really is in reality. Ill play the game tomorrow to see if he would say it was Wednesday.

It is truly an incredible thing when you find yourself connecting with a piece of art on such a personal level. The story telling here is superb, I have never been able to make myself believe that characters in games could ever be everyday, real-life people till now. I resonate with this game. 5/5

In chapter 3 they flat-out lie to you. The lasers don't aim for the direction the smoke ring came from, they aim for YOUR HEAD!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I hate the timing on smoke rings when I can't see the meter. There's no reason why the game should hide the smoke ring meter.

Hmm... after playing this and the first game twice each, I'd have to say I like Company of Myself more. The puzzles were more varied and the story deeper in this one, but blowing the smoke clouds/rings was just a huge pain in the ass on some levels. (Plus, the ending seems to contradict Company of Myself.)

After knowing that I played both games, I couldn't help but play them again. Both of the games are very sad, but very good. Thank you for sharing both games with the pubic (I also loved the music in both games, moved me to tears :']).

I think she smokes because she thinks that is a solution to a lot of her problems and as seen the first levels are solved by the fact that she is smoking. Even though it's not good for her she finds a reason to do it in her head as shown in the game. Quite brilliant actually

@soandso2 (SPOILER ALERT FOR FIRST GAME)
At the end of A Company of Myself, there's a scene which explicitly says that Jack killed her. But it never goes into detail how, or even why. But I have to admit, blanks like these certainly make you really think about the story.

So, there are three endings that I have seen in the comments of the two games. One, Jack murdered Katheryn. Two, Jack accidentally caused her death. Three, Jack lost her, yet she remains living. Has anyone thought that maybe, after they parted ways, Katheryn died from an acquired illness caused by her smoking? And Jack believes that he could have saved her, if they had not parted ways?

Interesting game. I love how you did the storyline. I wish we could have kept the Smoke Ring Gauge, I had a little trouble without it, but that could have been me. And the right to left scrolling of the people speaking from the right was a little irritating, though I liked how the words came like they were speaking. Really though, I would click across the screen just to read the stories. I really liked how it was implied that smoking soothed Katherine's spirit, eliminating the lasers, and that the rain was sort of purifying in the same way. This one was really dark, and sad, and Jack really freaked me out in this one. A piece of art, sad art.
