95% chance to find loot + 25% survivor and NOT a single survivor in the 2nd part of town, great way to destroy gameplay

Look i dont want to hate this game, its pretty good, but why are there so many zombie games? I hate zombies, yet somehow they seem to be pretty popular. Yet once again, no hate against this game, if you think the zombies away its just a really good game, just not my type of game.

please learn math, 1% to be found out with 70% chance to survive and just lost 2 guys, the only thing worse than losing one dude every turn is to lose 2.

Really liked this game... I used a rifle and the sniper rifle by changing them in order once one of them ran out of bullets and had my cat reload them for me... Got all badges in the same run... 5/5 real good

And then in a later house, SEVEN zombies get past me, and yet ZERO damage? This game apparently IGNORES how well you perform as shooter!!!!!!!!!!

Okay so, wave 40, with Mr. Whiskers my cat reloading my empty guns, with 6 level 2-3 shooters. When my grenade launcher isn't enough I just swap it with my cat (who reloads it nicely) for my M249 SAW. God bless America.
Side note: If Mr. Whiskers, the cat dies, I would have quit the game immediately, but we both made it when the army came for us, safe and sound.

Good to remember that you're better off with only two members of the search party, as increased numbers increase the odds that they will be seen by zombies, and in increase in party deaths and lost morale. (Also those fat old zombie ladies in the blue dress are the worst.)

Apparently the zombies are too pissed off to reward more than 1 or 2 TIME because you use a grenade launcher. Ironically, a launcher is the only weapon that saves you REAL time.

Law of conservation of survivors - I'll only ever find new survivors on a search if I lose the exact same amount on that same mission.

I get five headshots. I pass my rifle to my cat, who passes me my other rifle, now reloaded. I get five more headshots, and we swap again. Six of my mates are shooting down any zombies I'm not aiming at, and a few that I am. Only a handful get even close enough to be stabbed by the rest of my mates, through the whole [300 TIME UNITS] we're there, so I think we're doing great. After we've cleared them all out, we learn my best friend died when he was searching the tiny house we were protecting, because he lost a 62% dice roll and then lost an 80% dice roll. Despite my sniping perfection, depression is spreading like the bubonic plague and my mates are too sad to aim any time soon. We'll likely never find more survivors without losing some at the same time. The cat looks me dead in the eyes. He whispers, in perfect English, "That's X-COM!"

PRO TIP: Fill the melee slot as quickly as possible, they prevent zombies that get past from actually doing actual damage, if good enough melee'ers you can have 6-10 zombies come through, and won't take damage from any

there's some real potential here
too bad the game is painfully reliant on RNG and has absolutely abysmal sense of balance
got my badge, I'm outta here!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I liked the shooting, but the rng for searches is really frustrating. It isn't good game design if I can do the skill parts perfectly and still get completely screwed.

now if you want all the badges try to get 4 guys with 3 weapon strength and get yourself any kind of rifle or crossbow and then you dont have to progress at all just wait and complete each day till 40. The survivors wont die that way and you wont get frustrated with losing morale. I still have no clue what rage or morale does as it does not serve any function.

Way to go through 40 days with taking damage and losing survivor. Assign assistant as soon as you have survivor. Weapon: do not use BOW or RIFFLE or LAUNCHER, only use weapon that is semi-auto or auto, and start spamming for head, with helper reloading, you don need to worry about running out. Survivor: only use those with high melee and search, melee helps to go un-notice, and never put more than 2 survivor to search. Shooter are better than door guards. And lastly, don waste time to upgrade mine, go for radio > searchlight > fortify > mine if u have extra.

seemingly well-balanced game (operative word at beginning), takes too long to earn the easy badge. game is really random on how well you're raids are gonna turn out, regardless of what you've got stacked going in (i've had loads better numbers before and fared a lot worse, go figure). on the bright side, since The Cat's numbers are half good, he got to be my sidekick: that brightened my day a bit, lol. a kitty that loads my guns. uber-cute. uber-cool.

Good looking game. Little frustrating with weapon finds being so scare. Also the not being able to search when you've no other survivors, surely you can search yourself
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Too frustrating. The fun part is shooting zombies. It's NOT waiting for guns to reload. 30% of the time you're messing with waiting to shoot. 2/5.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Getting survivors is the most important thing, so focus on that first. If you're searching a house with ONLY survivors, it's OK to have a group with a high success rate, and also a low chance of escaping detection, since you'll end up with more survivors. But if you lose too many survivors, restart the game...

This stupid auto reload is the last shit.
And the search Partys are very ineffective, they will be attacked every day and die every time, dont matter how good they are, at the end i had 1 survivor and i cant do anything!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It is impossible to keep morale up. The only way to get morale is to send a search party, which does worse the worse morale you have. A full find of items/weapons/survivors increases morale by less than one death. Once you drop below 70 morale, you're stuck in an endless cycle of failure in searches, which leads to less people, which leads to being unable to send searches.

I found a glitch: Equip the "stronger barricades" upgrade, then repeatedly click the icon for said upgrade. You will take barely any damage. Repair as needed.

Okay. So on the 6th day my survivors were dead and all I got was the UZI, Springfield, those explosives- and my reload-buddy, whom I didn't dare to send on a search mission.
Although I missed a good Portion of game mechanics and collectables I SURVIVED (take that Zombies!)!
