Not sure if it is Kongregate, but this game really lags now and moving around is very difficult. i did not remember it being like this when I first played and loved this game.

By defining ourselves through our own actions we become self-centered and cannot fathom anything's beauty beyond the fact that it's harmful or not. OR when we blindly follow the voice, we are bestowed with clearer image of what the world looks like in the exchange of our ability to understand what's good from what's bad for us. We are asked to jump down the pit, that is something we cannot do while sometimes we are asked to NOT touch the statue we can manage that, are we foolish enough to give up our own hard earned progress in a mere command? are we mature enough to give up little bit of something for someone else without thinking of anything in return? this game truly makes you question your own way of living.

small boost to performance would be to r-click anywhere on game and goto quality -> select low, this may help little with lag issues

I'm sorry I really can't play this game if the lag disables me from enjoying it. Sorry that I can't see your message and sorry for the 1/5 :/

This game has a really powerful message and I adore it. Choosing to listen to what the voice says is basically like giving up your voice and freedom to fit in in real life. I love coming back to play this game each time.

The ending differs depending on the choices. The one change I would suggest is being able to jump to a choice after finishing the game, that way the player could try a different path and see what happens.

fps will randomly fluctuate between a good level and somewhere around 3 or 4. given that some accuracy is needed to play the game, it means the game is unplayable

i see it's an unpopular opinion - but i found the colourful flashing world of disobedience far easier and so much more pleasant to navigate than the black & white one. the red squares really stand out, helping you instantly locate danger. i tend to fall into drawn spikes more because they don't stand out as much, and i'm always afraid some little detail on the map is going to kill me somehow. not to mention the monochrome is maybe easier on the eyes but heavier on the soul. even with insults thrown at you and uneven colours (and maybe even thanks to those!), the world you choose for your own seems almost... joyful. i love it so much.

This game is the best thing I have ever interacted with in my entire life. I'm still youthful, but this game... I don't think anything will ever top it. The hidden message in it is beautiful. If you experiment enough, you can find so many things. The secret room feels you with a sense of admiration; cherishment. Depending on if you obey, this game truly makes you feel loved. If you disobey, it fills you with a bit of regret, but happiness because you're capable of making your own decisions, even if you get a few negative comments. The game becomes more detailed but stays monotone when you obey. It praises you. When you disobey or make your own decisions, the game becomes more colourful but becomes chaotic due to all of the colours dancing around your screen. Alexander has done a great job in creating this beautiful game. :)

Nice game. Interesting how others interpret it, but I interpret it as a metaphor for an abusive relationship, possibly with parents ('No, you are a boy', for example, seems like something a parent would say).
