I love the game, but I've been stuck on the Fire Temple Of Lucion Upper-Level, None of the mobs are dropping keys, so I can't open any doors, so I can't complete the prophesy quest, My party has leveled up twice now off the mobs, can someone help

Great Game! I tried it because I loved the Nebezem games. Great story and challenging puzzles. I am stuck trying to get back to the entrance after getting the Chest on Lucian Trial 3. After hitting the torch, I take a step, get burned, and sent back (my characters are strong enough not to die). It says I need better timing but I don't seem to have a chance. Anyone have any suggestions?

Ooops, I spoke too soon. Lost all skills and all gold in the temple of Toxa, like the other players before me. Cannot finish the game.

I decided to come back and replay this game while waiting for Beranek's new game to come back. 8 Temples is an old game, and it doesn't work properly in up-to-date browsers. (I could save just fine, but loading a save gave only the top left quadrant of the game, so I could not continue playing.) Luckily, I still have Internet Explorer on my computer, and 8 Temples works just fine in that. :)

Well, this is new. "The game cannot been saved." This doesn't bode well for my party. I'm not sure if this is on my end or on the game's side. What must I do to be able to save my game again?

It's a great game, but I gave up after a bug in crystal crafting came up in a few different ways. At first it seemed to happen only if holding a finished crystal while clicking on the craft button, but other freezes where the boxes for crystal crafting disappear made the same thing happen: when you set down a finished crystal, random crystals, even on other characters, change to the same kind as the one placed. I don't know how to get that to stop other than to clear flash data and lose the game progress.

Still think this is one of the best games on Kong and giving it 5 stars. Very reminiscent of early Might and Magic games. ( to players, be sure to enjoy all the game offers before entering Toxa temple )

Playing game in Chrome for Mac. Read here about Toxa issues before going there. Did all quests (including three other temples) and got everything possible before Toxa temple. Then went into Toxa temple, and took a step forward then was automatically swept around circular river (party shown moving clockwise constantly on map).
All skills were visible in spellbook before taking my first step forward in Toxa, so I think it was at the very moment the river sucked me in (or starting/winning first battle?) that the spellbook and all gold, quests, teachers, maps, etc were reset. Retained were lvls, stats, skill levels (and expertise/mastery), and inventory items.
Char screen also started to show lighter text font and some missing text. I did try to save game cookies/files beforehand but guess I copied the wrong ones, so even an attempt to replace files with the copy failed to restore. Stuck with a very buggy game after Toxa. Magical barrier reappeared outside of Toxa, preventing re-entry.

Any hope that you might be able to provide some manner of patch/fix for the people who stumbled on Toxa and got their games wiped? I thought perhaps I could just do everything again, because with high level it would be pretty easy, but ... the monsters in Shalewood won't attack if you are high level, and then you can't progress through the mission lines. PM me if there's anything I can do to help, this is a great game except for that kinda critical bug.

Don't play this game and if you do, avoid Toxa temple as long as you can. And before you go in, back up your game files. There is some game killing bug in there, and it has happened to others as well. I enjoyed the game quite a bit, but I don't feel like starting over, and there is no older save to backtrack to.

The Toxa temple is extremely buggy: First I moved through the temple without being able to control it, then when I finally got out of this mealstrom after reloading the game a few times, I stepped on a trap that wiped my party (from full health), which caused me to lose all gold and all the gems I had crafted (and I had a LOT). Makes the game rather frustrating :/

I actually wouldn't mind playing through again, but it's impossible because enemies don't show up due to my high levels, so I can't even complete the mutt quest. I obviously have no idea how hard programming is, but maybe a way for the player to toggle random encounters in areas they've been to already could be a useful band-aid if/until the source of the bug is found and fixed.
Well, the problem is that I don't know which variables get reset and which don't - it would likely be impossible to do all the quests again at that point. I have no idea what causes this "wipeout" of data when you enter the temple of Toxa - I can't see anything in the code that would do this. An option would be re-upload the original version of the game - it didn't have this Toxa glitch, but it had a glitch in the Trial of Fire, where sometimes if the player didn't light all torches, he would stuck due to not having enough torches to extinguish.

I love how when the druid runs out of energy, they have the option of just hurling their orb at the enemy. They must be pretty good at baseball.

I actually restarted the game and second time around I passed the fire trial without any problem (I think I only lit torch 1 and the wall at 3 opened without lighting torch 2)
I've just entered Toxa temple and when I stepped on the monster pad at 2 all the party's skills and quests disappeared and all treasures were refreshed - I went around and collected enough money and scrolls to repopulate the party's skills and the same thing has happened again
I have the key from the fight - do I repopulate again and just avoid that fight or will the same happen at every fight?

Really enjoying this old school game but I think I've hit a bug.
In the trial of fire level 2 I've extinguished the 4 torches but the ladder to level 3 remains blocked - what do I do?
Hey, that's the only serious bug in the game. As someone mentioned in earlier comments, you can get to the bucket without lighting all the torches (I don't know how) and then you don't have enough torches to extinguish. I made the game 7 years ago, it's a little hard to change anything in the huge code :D Anyway, I tried to insert a safety catch just now - can you see if it works? Click on any of the extinguished torches, the way to the ladder should hopefully open - with fingers crossed! (I also had to change the main font, because I don't have the original one anymore, which means I couldn't compile the game as it was...)
It doesn't run on Mac OS? It's just ordinary Flash. Or did you mean transferring the save file? If so, you'll need to find the game's cookie file somewhere in the browser folder and copy it to the cookie folder of your Mac browser.

Really Great Full Games. Have been playing this for a week and only been to half the temples. Simple graphics but very well made. Beranek please make more games like this!
Hi, thanks. This game was made a long time ago. It's visually rather poor, but it's quite complex and can provide many hours of fun for those who can forgive the graphics :)

There needs to be a better explanation of classes or a lock picking scroll because it do not have a rouge or an archer and can not get all the loot.
Having no rogue or archer will invariably make you miss some loot, but not much - most chests can also be opened by forcing them or casting Knock, although for some of them you need a high strength or high intelligence/Earth bonus respectively. Your party is probably strong in other ways ;)

I'm getting frustrated - the characters' accuracy is way too low. I just missed 9 attacks in the row while all three enemy's attacks landed. Is this on purpose?
What were you fighting against? Some monsters have a relatively high defence rate - it's a good idea to use skills with high (or 100%) attack rate against such cases. Try to get expert Monster Identification for one of your characters, as it allows you to see enemies' defense rate. The game is quite tough, TBH. :)

Honestly, I want to like this but the design of the dungeon in the mid to late game really annoys me, I have no problem with the combat but solving puzzle while being interrupted with random blobby thing #35 gets old fast, not to mention some of the dungeon seems to be designed to be as annoying as possible.
Aside from that I think it's a solid game but I will not play this again.

In the temple of Lucion I extinguished all the torches too soon and now i cannot complete the quest. There are a few places where you trip a lever and you cannot reset them either (Kravehla is another). If you cannot complete these you cannot get to chapter 3 and the end game.

Man, I love this game. It's so reminiscent of the old Eye of the Beholder type games, but with a completely fresh delivery. The languages are very attention-getting and the character choices insist on replay, because no matter how you do things, there's that urge to see what the other classes you didn't pick are like. 5/5

to DamienW4 - I have never experienced such issues... Maybe someone else played it while you slept...
to coolebeans - Yes, shops does not restock. NEVER sell anything you might need later. Always check that you have space in inventory before buying (or you will be forced to sell it imediatly).
WARNING In Ch 2 there is a bug that will halt your progress unless you avoid it. In fire temple lvl 2 you MUST light ALL 3 torches (before large room). The bug is: you can get to that room by lighting only 2, but then you wont have enough to extinguish.
There are no other game-breaking bugs. (But you may have trouble later on if you picked unbalanced party...)

dropped my rating on the game,- upon further play I realized this is totally riddled with glitches and save feature is just for show, i really enjoy the style but startin in the beginning after 5 hrs of play is a killer, not sure if ill be back, i guess its old enough no one wants to bother to fix it. too bad

Finally achieved all 3 endings (evil one this time). Was it intentional that Ilmarinen was the only light priest, that wasn't actually blocking entrance to dark temple? I simply walked past him.
Despite a few glitches still in the game I really love it! 5/5. Definetly will replay it again some time.

Thanks for that great game! Even though I used the walkthrough pretty much (especially for the lock difficulty of chests and doors). I had to laugh when my characters ate the vegetable soup (must be be a quite crunchy soup though ;-) )
I enjoyed the gibberish of the NPC's. Wonder what they actually said...

So after achieving light ending I encountered another weird bug - the game wont let me to start again - when I try to create party, after picking first hero it goes to light ending victory sequence again.

Second time through the game I am again stuck in Lucion trial lvl 2 - all torches have been put out but the exit wont open. Could it be that the update "...The fire temple has been tweaked..." have caused this bug? Maybe I should replay it on different website that hosts pre-update version of the game (also without magic users phisical attack)...
On the other hand, when I already had the bucket on Lucion lvl 2 I noticed torch that wasn't lit on BEFORE I had a chance to put it out. But of course it was too late to light it anyway so maybe that's wat caused the bug.

I'd have to say my biggest qualms are that nothing can be bought more than once from the same shopkeeper, particularly healing items and basic crystals, and the lack of proper map info, like buttons and discovered illusionary walls (basically anything interactive).

I am stuck on the lucion trial lv2 I have lit the torches got the bucket and then put out all the buckets is there anything else I have to do? I have been stuck and read the walk through but it doesnt say anything else and the door isnt open I can the tip of it behind the wall but it wont let me click it and go to lv 3. Can anyone help? please i really like this game and want to finish.
