I am fan of Baldurs gate, Neverwinternights, MightMagic serials, Witcher...
I think this is one great game, hard, chalenging, for sure one of the best games on Kongregate made with lots of love and knowledge.
Respect for u and your game.
Cheers.

@Cortillaen: Yes, the spellchain thingy is a little tricky... I'll have a look into it, but it will require quite some search through the code, and I'm rather busy at the moment. Please be patient.

Beranek, great game, but one thing is bugging me (pun intended): The Druid's spellchain ability occasionally activates at times it shouldn't. For example, I've had my Druid spellchain off of my Wizard's spells, which locks out the Druid's same-element spells and physical attack while still consuming his turn like normal (the Druid normally takes his turn right after the Wizard). I also had my Rogue spellchain (?) off the Druid, locking out the Rogue's physical attack for the turn. All in all, though, I love finding an old-fashioned M&M-style game here on Kong, so thanks.

Well, there is another bug.. sometimes, I cannot move or even open anything else than the instructions. (Even after reading them 20 times.)

@WDDW: you make valid points, but please go ahead and try programming a better 3D environment in Flash (without using Unity, which many people can't run on their computers). And BTW, do it for free! :) I'm glad you're enjoying the game despite its imperfections.

And, also, turning around on a square with a person or object and having them always in front of you it's very confusing... I keep playing cause I like this old RPG system (and the story too)!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Although this kind of "pseudo-3D" enviroment works well on mazes or houses (just corridors and walls, it's easy that all look the same), but it looks very weird on open spaces (cause you're still walking on corridors, and it doesn't fit that all the trees and rocks look the same). And, as Manahimik says, after some time could make you feel a little sick. Maybe you could use another kind of interface for travelling and the towns, and keep this one for the mazes and the inside of the buildings?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Manahimik: I think I will, eventually. It's much easier to make a game like those two you mentioned. Sorry about your nausea, I never imagined it could have such effect on some people.

Arg! Great rpg system. I really want to master it but I get nauseous after playing it for 5 minutes. Can you make another game with the same mechanics and classes but make the graphics a bit like monster's den or enchanted cave? I really want to play it but it's just so... hard. @_@

@Tedmeister: Oh come on, who did Robert Jordan rip from? The expression Wheel of Time has been used at least since the pagan times, probably much longer. Same goes for the changing of ages. Try reading some ancient alchemy books, for instance.

@LordValerian: well, there are some nifty axes later on.. the advantage of axes is that all axes are tuned for Fighters. Some swords, on the other hand, are more tuned for Rogues or Paladins. It's a matter of personal preference, but I'd say axes are good for Fighters, especially if the other front row character uses swords. ... @Lod89: Thanks, I'll look into the spellchains thingy. I don't think reuploading would help, I guess this game can only really be appreciated by those (few) who have played similar games (ages ago) :) But I admit I AM sad that it didn't reach 4 stars, I worked hard on it :P

Nice game but bugged out for me doing the Samuel prophecy quest thing. Screen suddenly shrunk and I can't see/click the bottom part,so..can't heal or even see how much hp my characters have.:/ So, stopping playing..really great game though.:)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Beranek: I haven't finished the game yet, but I'm curious to know if there are any special axes for fighters since I've noticed that they are the only ones that have abilities in axes. If there are none then i may as well go with swords. Thanks.

found something that could be a bug.Its about spellchain,i can put more than 15 skill points in it before i even have expert training in that skill. Its sad that there are no guys playing this great game, maybe you should reupload and call this game the betaXD cus it deserves a much better rating then 3,46 stars at least it shouldhave 4,2 stars, btw i rate it 5 stars

ty for this great game. I played m&m, amberstar/ambermoon and all the other old rpg´s and I´m really enjoying this one. one question... is there the possibility to reset abilities? it would be nice to find/buy a potion or something to reset 1 point. maybe u could add a recipe to craft a crystal (e.g. 10 x diamond)

@isubsmith: Since the latest update, you can learn element mastery from the dark priests, too (after you've talked to them). So in your case, visit Kuromizu to learn Master Water.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've started down the neutral ending path and already got a couple black spheres. I just got enough points to get my wizard's last mastery (water). However, the priestesses are all gone.... Is there any way to get water mastery?

@AnotherDuck: I realized there could be issues with the golems, so I updated it yesterday, so that if you miss one of the set encounters, you can kill 20 golems instead (which is about how many you kill anyway when you explore the place), so there's a failsafe now. Using the Escape scroll wouldn't cause it, as it doesn't remove the encounter.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Beranek: Thanks, that did it. That time the browser crashed (not the game's fault, as I left the game running while in a fight), which caused most of the screen to black out, probably just happened to occur right at one of those encounters, which caused some flag to be set improperly. I'm guessing, as I naturally don't have access to the code. Though if fixed encounters are reset once you leave the temple, it should've worked the second time I went through. Also worth checking, would the same happen if you use a spell to escape the battle?

Is Tainted Spring bugged? I gave the lady her items, she said I have the potion, the walkthrough said I wouldn't have an item but all I have to do is click on the spring and it should complete it, but it doesn't. Is there a lvl cap or did I miss something?

i dont what a bug report function is. I dont normally report them but i liked the game. and the game just froze howeverthis could have been a problem with my computer rather then the game. so if it happens again i will go into details.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@AnotherDuck: it sounds like you missed one of the set encounters with the golems (not your fault). If you have completed the wine quest, just slay one more golem, and the game should count it as the last golem now. @ks5bns: the Divine Swiftness and Mark Target skills should work properly now. Could you describe more specifically how the evil fire priest fight kept messing up? Please use the Bug report function, if you can.

another Mistake i found. i can use my haste Ability with my palidin to haste other team members. Simply click on the sword icon so ur about to attack an enemy. then click on the haste ability. it then gives me a choice who to haste.

i encountered some strange bugs when i was playing
My rogue wasnt allowed to do that mark move, where he lowers their defence values. kept saying i can only do it once.. but it was the first round of battle. and my rogue moved first. Also for some reason my paladin ends up with negative energy points. and since normal attack require 0 energy. it says he doesnt have enough energy to do that attack. But they were minor. the worst bug i has was fighting the evil fire priest. kept messing up. but it worked eventually.

The wine quest is completed, and that illusion wall you kinda have to pass anyway. And I did know there were dangerous traps there. I just wanted to see if Master Trap Detection was enough (hint: it wasn't). Master Trap Disarming is enough, though. Also, loads of experience for my Rogue.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
did you open all chests?and did you got the wine?and well there is one illusion wall by the button that activates the teleporter. And the priestress of Stasias tells you there are many "hard" traps in harsh hills(its the last of the task i do just to be sure i see an casn disarm the traps thereXD)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Lod89: I did follow the walkthrough the second time around, and according to that, there are no illusion walls. Still, no dice. Tried stepping on every tile. I'm thinking of returning there after a few levels to see if my killing speed makes it less tedious. Right now I'm at Harsh Hills. I took two steps, then a trap killed three of my party members. Harsh indeed. That's why I had left the Resurrect All scroll on my fighter, who's got twice the health anyone else has... So, back to town to get that Trap Detection scroll. Fun times has been had.

Can anyone help one the Ice Golem Palace? How to arrange the Crystal Blocks? I tried lot of combination but those magical wall still sparkling. Not too sure if I tried all combi because after like 10 steps got attacked yet again and spoilt my test sequence.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@anotherduck to finish the golem quest you need to fully explore the fortress,so either you didn't explore it enough or its a bug that only you have, but i think its the first(someone of your party says there are no more golems, then its finished).there is also a walktrough with the maps you can compare the map you have and the one in it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's a fun game, and the challenge is generally rather good. There are a few bugs, though. I encountered the same bug Vladeus did, when the screen blacked out other than the main screen. It did fix itself after a few reloads. That was in the fire golem fortress. However, I can't seem to be able to finish the quest to kill all the golems, unless you need to grind down scores of them (is it based on numbers, or specific fights?). I went through the entire fortress twice (without leaving), walking on any square I can find, and I'm still told to go hunt more. Also, the Gleann dungen was just annoying with having to figure out the puzzle at the same time as quite a lot of random encounters. Not hard at all, just annoying. Another bug is that my healer's defence value seem to be permanently down at a negative 20 as its base.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
One other note - I got stuck in two evil temples because no monsters were spawning to drop keys. Closing the browser and restarting the game fixed the problem.

markdey when i won the game my chars was 2 levels behind.
(due to partly this fact another factor was my party died when one char had levelled up and the other chars was close behind him
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'm really liking this game. One minor problem I have though, is that in my party of Fighter, Cleric, Wizard, Archer, my cleric is now one full level behind the others (20 vs 21) because of how XP is awarded when opening doors or chests, and disarming traps. It would be a better design if the entire party was awarded XP for overcoming that obstacle - even if the XP awarded is reduced.

@ks5bns: I changed it now so refreshing the game won't help you avoid fights. Anyway, if you avoided fights, you'll probably be low level when you're facing the last (and unavoidale) battles. The Drain spell is useful to disable some creatures, but it's not good against groups of enemies and definitely bad against all fire monsters. @firecat6666: thanks for saying that. the game is probably too involved for the majority of players, who like more "trivial" games :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
nah it was my first game then and i hadn't got some1 with high strength
i gave my warrior vitailty, the rogue agiliity, the mage intellgience, and the healer wisdom.
i got through it though . and i meant generally all the fire creatures were tougher then the other creatures.. but then again i did spam my energy drain attack with my wizard. Most guys were rendered useless coz i drained all their magic (is a cheap fire spell). Even when i ddint need anymore magic i still did it. trying the other four classes in hard mode now. its tough.
Also i discovered if ur in a fight and press F5 and refresh game ur no longer in the fight i think that should be changed or u can go through anything without going into a fight.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@firecat6666 i totally agree with you(i gave it 5/5 for how awsome this game is) @ks5bns they are not people but golems and if you can't lock pick or force a door open try to knock, maybe some kind golem might open the door for you^^and all doors in the fire golem fortress can be forced open when you have like 36 str and if you done the ice golem fortress you should have enough to do so
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the fire people were the hardest peoples to beat for me.
i actually did the ice palazce before the fire palace.
and the fire priest was very difficult to beat. And the locks in the fire place were very tough even when i was a higher level.
trying the game in hard finding it tough.
But i am really enjoying this game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Beranek ya it was still fun.(and ya different classes)now i will try for the last ending on highest difficult level^^(that should take some time). And i just found another bug that when you want to see what the dagger ability does at mastery you only see"(Rouge only)" and not what it does, i think its something with 10% crit but would be nice to know^^.btw i play this game almost all the time(i have no life^^'''''''')could be the reason why i play it trough so fastXD
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Lod89 - cool, two endings so quickly! Was it still fun when you did it the second time? (different classes I guess) :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@MarkDey - some buttons/levers are visible from the side, some aren't. @Lod89 - thanks, i'll fix it in the next update.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@MarkDey i can see the buttons from the side @Beranek i found a small spelling mistake in Tietola by Teemu when you learn master monster id the massege appears that you learnt expert monster id. intead of master(you still get the mastery)
