This game is sick! Much better than I first thought.... how do you get a gold medal in damage? Is it how much you take?

I agree with Tycarus, the wave with 4 tanks is way harder than the others, min damage i've gotten from such a wave is 30 :(

actually, it IS doable, you're just unable to contemplate the fact that you might in fact be unable to do something.

Kongregate why do you insist on putting up requirements for impossible badges that require a large dose of luck? That isn't challenging it's frustrating! If you get that wave with 4 large tanks and turrets at each direction you take atleast 50-100 damage. So you need to pray for 10 waves past the 10th not to be one of said waves otherwise it's undoable. Great job. Good game though :)

I'm glad to see others agree with most of the things I saw about this game, such as you Bephwyn. But yes, for someone getting paid little or nothing, I'd say this is quite a decent little game.

The game was fun. It didn't have a great story, but it's an arcade game, not a professional one. The graphics weren't amazing, but they weren't terrible. They were just clean. The gameplay was fun, but the repetitiveness sometimes made it not fun. It took me about 4 tries to get the time medal on level 5. Also ,the +50 health wasn't a good enough achievement. That would have been much better for having 10 gold medals, and having 15 would double your damage with all weapons.

Mechanical Commando reminds me a lot of Robokill and Red Storm. This has a more interesting plot though. Top down shoot 'em ups like this can be fun done right, and this has kept me playing. My biggest disappointment is the Golden Commando. After spending about three additional hours after winning to get all gold medals, all I got was 50% more HP and somewhat larger blast radius on mortars to show for it? That level 5 time medal was difficult!
A pause menu and minimap would be nice, and the Golden Commando, would be much more worth it with say double damage. Homers could still be viable later on. Even with these and a few other problems, I give Mechanical Commando 4/5.
