a little bug funny. after buy your units, quit castle and close game or restart game. units bought are here and your money is back :)

This game is a game that will have you die mulitple times in order to muster enough gld to buy a single unit that may not even give you the extra boost to beat a level. I was blasting through levels, dying once or twice per 3 levels until I reached the hlafway point. I stopped getting keys until the very end of levels, got no spins from the money wheel, and bare minimum gold per level (while using all 3 loots boost arifacts). The grinding wad fine for me, but a 2x or 3x would be appreciated. The balancing should be revamped and units shouldn't cost a fortune compared to what you make per level. 3/5

In one run I got keys 80% of my loot and failed horribly
The next run I was a bit luckier and got gold instead lol... Keys were frustrating.

At first this seemed like a fun game. Now I reached the point where I can't beat a level, I can't get enough gold to buy more warriors, selling the ones I have to try different ones only result in less.

I do not get all the grinding issues... Yes, it has some, but not that brutal. I went right on to archers. Not the best game, but is still OK. BUT! The speed up button is really missing... It also had a freezing issue, but the save game worked for me.

It is unacceptable for a game that requires SO MUCH grind to not have a speed up button. You can't even properly grind the levels because you can't go back to the ones already completed. You have to grind the levels that you can't finish. 1/5

It would be nice if there was some way to see what the skills across the bottom are exactly? What they do? And also some indicator on the map as to which level is easiest - which is hardest? Numbers or something? I really want to like the game but it just feels unfinished or something. So many things could be improved upon to make this a decent game.

once all the slots are unlocked this game should be deleted from kongregate and the developer banned due to this game being terrible

Good game. Smooth gameplay, and I didn't need to grind as much as other people mentioned. Once I followed the instructions from Ivanchiski's post, it made things A LOT easier, especially when I got stuck on the last few levels.

Such a let-down. The snails's pace the battles progress at make me reluctant to watch to control the spells. The 24-28 gold pieces you get for a wave while replaying a stage you beat part-way have got to be a joke. Gold gain should be increased with stages (prices sure are) and struggling players shouldn't have their earnings cut down because they happened to mess up the build.

Game started out decent, but as the grind wore on, the score kept dropping. Started as a 5/5 for no BS microtransactions, but ended at a 1 for terrible design and gameplay.

I don't understand what everyone's complaining about with the grinding. I was able to complete it only having to retry the second-to-last 3 levels 3 times each- not too bad. As long as you're smart about when you use your abilities and which units you pick, you should be fine. Remember it's better to have lots of units still alive than lots of abilities left over, so pull out your big guns early and often. By the end of the game your shield should be powerful enough to allow you to clear a whole wave perfectly without using any other abilities, and you can use it approx. twice.

I don't think it's so annoying to beat... I died like 4 times the entire game, was able to upgrade after every level (winning or losing), maxed out two levels before the final level... It's not just your typical 30min game. Still, I always thought that the last line of units would be filled with more powerful ones... but it never happened. It was fun, but a 2x speed button would make it better.

Game is not as grindy as people make it out to be but it could do with a lot of improvement. Tons of improvement. 2/5

Needs a few key changes that other people have mentioned, and then it would be very enjoyable. As is? It IS playable for sure, but low replayability and there are admittedly other games out there - it is good enough, but it just doesn't have the same awesomeness as what else is on Kongregate. (Though even just a speedup button will make it go from a 3 to a 3.5 even if nothing else changes) No reason to not try Frozen Islands, Wondrous Lands or Strike Force Kitty for fairly similar gameplay.

The game is to grindy with no real point other than to grind. I beat the game using loot boost the whole time and am still short 5 artifacts. The shield is your best friend with 6 monks and a good wave of enemies you can get it to cool down to 35 seconds. the arrows are the next best as the cool down keeps ticking and they cant attack till all shoot. Lightning should really upgrade on the lvl 2 exorcist to go through the whole row. now its only good for the bosses at the end of the game and not very good at that. bull charge seems good though im not really sure what it does. Think the game has potential with some kind of story mode and less grinding.

There really needs to be a bigger reward when you beat a level. It's so disappointing to FINALLY get through a level and then... you get like 50 gold. Not even enough for a single of the cheapest unit.

I didn't find it exceptionally grindy. It is an upgrade sort of game and as such seemed appropriately grindy. The pace was a bit slow. I would have liked the ability to replay with different combatants to see what was best. It would have been nice to have round numbers on the outside so I could see which one to go to first. Art work was nice and the basic game was fun but not very adaptable to different styles of battle and there is no replayability. 3/5 stars

Managed to do this almost without grinding at all... I guess it's actually very important to use skills properly, managing them too. And monks are so helpful. Four/five monks in back row = use invincibility skill for a long time = skip a wave with one skill without HP lose.

I don't know what to say - I did't find it to be especially "grindy" at all. I think I had to retry three or four of the levels - otherwise I just sailed through them. Perhaps I got lucky with my setup - I didn't read up on the optimal lineups.
It would have benefited from a speed-up button though.

I enjoyed it. easy enough. took a little over 3 hours for me. Wheel spin never gave me red xs or extra keys, so yay there.

My guide to no grind:
You need monks as much as you can afford. Plus 10% attac to whole group from each monk, and invulnerability skill, which enlarge with count of monks in your party. Dont even use exorcist or bomber.
My best party is: first lane is meele warriors (best of them of course), second lane - archers (hunters), third line - 3-4 fire mages lvl3, 4 and 5 lanes - full of monks.
My max count of tries to the one battle is 2-3 tries.
Monks rools, and game is boring. Its take me 1,5 hours to beat.
Sorry for my poor language.

i really hate the spin concept. getting an X is infuriating... if you removed the X and just made it a small amount of money it would be bearable.
