AI is completely stupid its like this: "oh look they're making tons of units!!" (other ship) "ok lets fly all the way around the planet and THEN attack em, that'll confuse em..." "duhhh ok!" i mean c'mon when do ppl randomly fly around whole planets to attack things, i mean if im gonna hit someone im not gonna walk all the way around the building and then hit em... good game but the AI is dumb

Like everyone else said, the AI blows. I click on a ship to kill, and my ships kill it, but then they keep flying to the spot where I initially clicked on the enemy fighter, ignoring all the other ships nearby that are shooting at them... YOu have to manager your ships or they are stupid, but if you're managing the ships you can't click on things at your base...

Sorry, but though this game seems to be great the comment "AI is equal to my toaster" is completely true... though i would may say, that toasters at least DO what they were designed for and not just circle planets without attacking the buildings... 2/5 for loooooong gameplay with anti-AI

I had a fleet of 11 ships and it was destroyed by 3 enemie ships just because when I clicked on the enemy, my ships went all the way round not hitting while crossing the enemy's turrets :O

So far my thoughts on this game is...
It could be a lot better but the AI is crap!
A way to change the formation of the units you have selected (instead of that awful circle...).
Rally points for buildings (!)
A way to increase the limit of ships (20 feels a bit low so if you could build say a building to increase the limit of ships with 5 or something it would be good, high tech req though...).
Currently my rating of this would be 2/5 despite still playing it to see the entire length of it so PLEASE fix at least the UI of the damn ships >.<

I really would like to be able to set patrol paths, spawn points, waypoints and things like that. Ships never follow even simple orders, instead they float off into space. Repair drones heal units with nearly full health, while others are blasted to pieces around them. Units wander around the planets I'm attacking, often going the long way around. This could be a great game, but execution is badly done. Just give the damn things some decent AI.

ok... think this has been asked - but how do you save? If there's an auto-save it didn't work for me. Otherwise a pretty good game 4/5

there is one main problem with this game.. this is simple not enough (lousy controls, inconsistent control scheme, ui issues, pathfinding problems, .... etc.) It is clear that a lot of time and effort was invested to the developement of this game.. but guys this is 2009! .. otherwise it is ok.. 3/3

great idea with some terrible coding, AI is equal to my toaster, which would be great if you could upgrade it but you don't
needs much better AI on both sides as well as custom hotkeys, for example to set opening command center as a hot key, and opening missle silos as another, so that i don't have to jump between multiple planets frantically clicking so my 3 silos do combined damage before the enemy heals
also multiple enemies would be nice, much bigger playing fields with 2+ opponents fightings 1v1v1...

The big problem here is simply the player AI. These ships arent able to do anything right. Also, try to kinda, make a save function, otherwise no point putting the "continue campaign" button there.

It's there, just needs a little more work. More hot-keys are needed so you don't need to click through build menus. Needs battle groups so you can make groups of ships, rather than all or single select. Have repair drones selectable like ships in grouping. It would be better if the camera didn't re-center on where the current location is for building, it's really annoying for trying to accurately place a new building.

its a good concept organized badly. by the time your actually set up, they already attacking and over to get you. so bit annoying. but hoping number 2 will be better

A few pointers that might help this game. Take a note from Starcraft/warcraft, or alpha centauri. Your maximum number of ships should be based on how many command centers you have. Also tell EXACTLY what upgrades we are getting from certain levels. I got a tech upgrade level 3 that wasn't mentioned on the map.

Not that hard really. Just build a bunch of turrets at first once you get them upgraded they will kill any incominb enemies

Good concept, just needs a bit of work to make it from a decent game to a really good game. Controls are kinda screwy and overall game play seems to be a tad dull.

oh and please make sure you have at least finished the tutorial and played a bit before condeming the game, there are lots of faster and more interesting ships after you have researched some tech levels. See the strategy guide for the full list of ships

To answer some points: It does autosave, if for some reason its not working, try right clicking and changing settings, you can colonize other planets, the enemy doesnt start with more money than you. IP missles are supposed to be blocked by planets, which means you can use planets for cover and must think about where you build silos

Maharal: press a to select all combat ships, shift click to select all ships of that type. Press the controls button and it will list all shortcuts

I hate when my ships start to orbit the long way to destroy an enemy building.
Suggestions: like some good RTS games, put a selection macro button option so you don't have to chase for those drunken pilots the other side of the planet. A double click to select all ships of the same kind would be great too.

YOU GAVE THE AI CHEATING!!! HE STARTS BUILDING HIGH TECH STUFF WHEN I HAVEN'T EVEN LANDED!!!
that is the only thing i did not like about it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
ship navigation near planets is very poor
to fly to the point it may take to fly all over the planet and ship can be destroyed by enemy turrets
