Unbalanced Game, way too simple, so many useless units. Feels, like the only reason for the existence of half of the ship types is only so that there are many different ships. All missions play the same way, upgrades are linear and most of the time you don't feel the difference of having them or not.
Took me about two hours to get through, seems like it's sooo difficult to make a good and enjoyable space game.

Some very fustrating issues: taking a group of ships to attack a building, ships decide they want to circle the planet a few times first. Clicking to attack with a group starts some of the ships attacking, the rest just move onto the target and sit there.

Way too easy, Once you discover tech level 2 (and with that, I mean avaidible from the start), just build a battle centre as soon as posible, a resource mine with a few mining drones, 1/2 power stations, 1/2 repair drones, some attack drones (determines on your starting resources, higher resources = less drones), and the rest on torpedo turrets. Once you're defended well (4/5 torpedos), destroy your attack drones and build mining drones instead. Once you have plenty of recources and there are multiple planets which are worth capturing it (don't bother about the very small ones), make a mobile construction ship and do it all again on that planet. Then built a research centre and research the highest tech level. After you're done with that and have lots of resources again, start building some interplanetauiry missile silos and destoy every building you can reach with them. One the enemy is severly weakened, trade in your mining drones for powerful ships and destoy the enemy.

i take it back, its a n"ok" combat system, you just need to get used to it :D but the lvls are 2 long, i used 2 hours on secter 2 >.<

nice game but REALY REALY REALY, bad combat system, you have to click every enemy before they attack it, and it takes so long time for some of them to turn around >.<

It was an O.k game for me... Little too easy maybe you can make it a little harder with the AI and ya the torpedo thing was kinda wonkey =P but other than that a decent game.

Speaking of which, you want the range increase for laser turrets too, plus your research center's laser upgrades also affect them, so more upgrades in that area means your turrets can start grinding larger packs of assaults.

And yeah, as soon as the enemy starts getting a bit more proactive on you, a large row of laser turrets will be good. Rockets are also fun but they're more expensive, are slower to hit, and may waste time trying to hit faster ships while large, more dangerous ships are sitting right next to them. Support with repair droids when needed and park any army you got built next to them to make things easy.

After that, you want to up those mining drones a bit, so get the stealth, capacity, and efficiency upgrades, in that order. Some people may think stealth is a waste, but I say that you probably haven't played in the later levels.

You want the power and missile upgrades for the command center as soon as possible, they're very economical in cost compared to buying either a power plant or turret instead.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Well.....tiny missiles and lasers can pass through planets, while the larger doom rockets have to go around. Oh, and yeah, there's a ship that can fire lasers from such a distance away that they'll hit something on the other side of a planet. And I ain't talkin about artillery.

@Kayedon
You wish missiles would "shoot through [...] planets?" That's beyond dumb. Real missiles don't pass through solid rock. Just learn to play the game with the rules!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I wish our missiles would shoot through out own planets. Otherwise you have to waste money on selling and making new silos farther out, since they just suicide themselves.
Also, any way you can add the ability to save options? I kinda don't always remember to go in and up ship limit and change graphics.

well when i use my arrow keys, the view does a movement lock and keeps going up, down, left, or right, without me pressing the button

For myself, I think the mining powers are important, then the command center, then power, then all the rest. So to start the game, I upgrade the command center for power (and speed, when I have more than 1500 res to start) I build a mine, then 10 mine ships, then power, then mine upgrades, then whatever it takes to fight the level.

For new players, the "sectors" you capture provide different special bonus powers. These are REALLY important. Get them in a good order, so that you have the good ones from the beginning. Also, keep in mind that the early levels are easy, so if you have a hard time with many planets, or few planets, or whatever, get those first. :-)

I don't like how inactive the AI is. They respond in defence but they never attack or expand. Maybe it's just because I'm only through sector 4.

The overall quality of this game is good. I would recommend though smaller buildings and things are a little to expensive. Also what's up with not being able to take the middle sector it makes you hve to go around and fight unnecessary battles

good game but planet destroyer is overpowered havent once seen the enemy able to shoot it down in time even shooting it through the middle of a fleet

Great Game!! A few ideas. Being able to assign a group button to a building would be nice. Speeding up the game some more would be nice too. Also, the ships still can't make up their minds as to which way around the planet is closest to the objective. Still had a lot of fun. Keep up the good work!!!

just program the ships AI to follow the shortest distance taking in consideration the matrix and the objects' dimensions between the two points in matrix. I am sure u gonna fix it ^^

This reminds me of a little (44 megs little) old (latest version in 2002) shareware game called Gravity Well.

Anyone else see the similarities?

Need polish. And lots of it. AI update. Better response to multiple repeated commands. Shortcuts to more than just surrender and command center, all attack ships, and all miners. Or at least useful ones.
