Also do the orbs and golden chalices (cups) do anything? If they don't, I was thinking that maybe the more cups you have the faster you regenerate and with orbs mana.

Why is it when playing a game like this things start to itch... get to a door open it... side of face starts itching.. *takes hand off mouse to*.. BOOM!! beholder fireball to the face!

Black screen bug aside, why did one of those cyclopes have to approach from right behind me while I was shooting another one in front of me?! DAMN!

this one is a good 3D dungeon crawling game, like how you have very limited range of light. how all the skill mostly directed toward survivability instead of damage multiplier, it add the sense of hopelessness to this game. The dungeon crawling can't be more real than us trapped in maze containing darkness and the unknown. I don't know whether you're planning to continue this or not. But if yes, i'm looking forward for it. Otherwise, Good job!~ 5/5

Not bad for your first game, but I seriously dislike how far off the monsters can spot you. I can't even begin to see them and they're already shooting at me, seems a little one-sided in their favor in that respect. The ONLY reason this isn't a game-breaking set up is because the projectiles are some what slow and can be dodged. Honestly though, this seems like a bad remake of Doom. Seriously, the floating eye monster things are essentially Caco Demons from Doom. You've already gotten some good suggestions..Make a skill tree. You level up? You can put points into something. Expand on it, the way it is now it's gonna get boring quick to most people.
Yeah this was a 6-week learning project for me a number of years ago. I am currently working on a hack-n-slash rpg but it is not likely I will post it on kongregate. Needless to say, it is far, far beyond what I did here.

You seem to be confusing something.... having the enemies take 10 hits to kill instead of 4 does NOT make the game more difficult/interesting. It makes it a lot more boring. Make more new enemies, or give them new abilities, just please don't waste my time making it longer.
Perhaps your confusion would have been avoided had you bothered to read the game description, where it was made obvious that this was the first game I ever made, and I did it in 6 weeks when I first picked up Unity. It was for a contest and that was the time constraint. That was over 3 years ago btw.

I do like it, it does have a lot going for it, but I don't seem to be able to kill anything, because my character shits himself every time he sees something, and tries running off, and I don't be able to stop it happening. And that's on the lowest difficulty.

So... i just beat the game without reading any instructions, and i just found out, you could jump and that you could fire frostbolts too, i need to read instruction before i play something... seems like it would make it alot better, that jump would really have been usefull!

Very nice game. The flying balls remind me a bit of those in doom. I'd like to see more spells if you are working on an update/sequel.

Kept me playing! It was a good game. The end was a little anticlimatic though, maybe throw in a treasure room or something, even though it wouldn't matter too much. :)
