I have a few, but it sucks once you do them because you start with no waste/dark mana. I have a question about the demon contract J. The first level enhances the first boiler. Do the next level or any other enhance the second boiler? I usually just go after the second one.

You're honestly not too far behind me i think, maybe a little over a month or so if i remember right. I generally use the free gear resets to switch up what im farming, moving all my gears from boiler to obelisk and back. Before you know it you'll have enough to pop the chest for the first time.
Dont do what i did and forget about the challenges for a while. Pretty helpful those.

I see. I'm far from that, I think. It currently farming contract points from the obelisk. The bottlenecking seems to come from the drowners, of course, but also from the demons (a little less, tho). But I have all the gears on the obelisk so I'll farm that for a while, then I may go back to farming demons' contract points before trying to get the drowners, which feel unreachable right now.

@marcius along with the prestige, each faction will also give a bonus to a resource upon reset. Once you start opening the magic chest the last rune wont seem as daunting

@JohnCrane I'm talking about the last rune specifically. I don't know if there is a way to speed it up or not but right now it feels pointless to dump so much energy on it.

I'm 6 months into this game. Yes it's frustrating at first that some progress stops offline, but I think that's a deliberate feature - there's eventually a contract/spell/upgrade to resolve every temporary annoyance.
The game is mostly about grinding prestige. I like figuring out how to optimise each run as the game parameters evolve, and it means nothing can ever go catastrophically wrong. At worst you just abandon that run and start the next one, maybe just with less starting waste or dark mana than usual. Apart from tokens everything is fairly easily replaceable, and most things have a use at some stage.
This game takes a lot of patience: but I love the trial and error aspect, and the steady trickle of new elements introduced as you progress. It's also fun flying in seconds through stages that previously took hours or days - very satisfying. The option to export and import saves was very welcome too, when I had to replace my laptop.

Cannot load the game in Firefox since today (Oct 20th). It loads in Chrome, but I would lost all my progress. I guess progress is stored locally. What can I do?

I've recently reached the undead's threshold for contracts. I have automated the demons' upgrades which really helps my fingers haha. So now I'm trying to get more undead contract points (I moved all the gears to the obelisk, which would be their boiler) and I'm trying to unlock the warlocks to see what they offer. I get like 350 dark mana for each 2500 energy. I'm using the energy boost from the grimoire.

@JackVermicelli I'd try switching up what browser your using and make sure that everything is updated. Im on chrome and have had zero issues past the initial shock of it all

@JackVermicelli you don't need to disable that because when you get that upgrade (to autoupgrade every 2 seconds) you have already taken the previous upgrade, which makes upgrade cost-free.

My game doesn't save when I close the webpage. I know it says that the game cloud saves, but that has never worked for me. I've tried switching browsers, and still nothing works.

Free Warlocks: One of the Water World rewards is "You receive a free warlock upon unlocking the faction". Refreshing the web page gives me an additional d'Espance every time! Very helpful in Fire World.

I wish there were some option to disable upgrade until the post-upgrade production of a unit type would be at least equal to the pre-upgrade production.

I see a lot of people complaining about runes, prisms, and pearls not progressing in their production, and I want to echo this sentiment. It's a very unreasonable design aspect. Not only do you have to have the game open for progress to be made on the production of these things, but you can't even go to a different tab or minimize the window and do other things! I've tested this. The game developers seem to want your eyes glued to the screen for literal hours watching a progress bar crawl from left to right! That's unreasonable at best and hateful at worst. Nobody is going to want to do that even if they've got the time for it. Even the most bored person on earth can think of better things to do than sit for literal hours just to stare at a slowly moving progress bar so that a number can tick marginally upwards on what is essentially a pyramid scheme simulator.

I unlocked pearls today and now I want to quit playing... they don't farm unless you have the window up and on screen and there is no real gain for them.... it's like the game is just blocked buy pay walls....

Exiting out once before manually saving to my own device and realizing there was no cloud, no auto save.. hours lost was enough for me to stop caring about this forever; not just this game, but this genre. That's.. I'm good..

The "chance to apply vulnerability" doesn´t work correctly, i have 34% chance, im doing 40 hits per minute and after 10 minutes it happened 5 times :-p

well screw this. been playing for about 3 weeks. had to clear my cookies from my browser, lost everything including the 2 packs I had bought with tokens. F that! I had saved to my PC the day before I bought the tokens so just screwed me. thanks, won't be putting another nickel into this now!
