The Blue fast guy owns in this game! Cleans flying units, spiders and everything else in a sweep. Pick him if you want to win the game!!
The Red one is ok. The piercing upgrade is not that good, because it will pass the exploxion proc to other creature you're not aiming at. Cleans terrain creatures like a charm, but flying creatures can get hard.
The Green one is just hard as hell, to play and upgrade! Spiders will be a massive problem, and so will be anything else. He has a different style of play, you have to aim for the last creature to enter the field and poison everything. You will get in trouble if you can't manage to maintain the right flow.
-> Overall tip: Aim for the last upgrades, the specific of each archer, and upgrade them as soon as you can. But don't stay with unused stars, use them to upgrade speed/damage and reset when you have the quantity of stars you need to upgrade a better skill. Replay levels, win more stars, win the game. And pick Blue!

Extremely difficult game, Tough to aim, tough to kill, tough to earn upgrades. And not rewarding for the effort... Very disappointing. But improved aiming, hit boxes, and a more consistent upgrade process would fix all the issues. If you aren't beating a level because of the difficulty, you can't get stars to upgrade and make it beatable. Very frustrating.

I actually like the shooting system as it makes this game different than many others, but the hit box is sometime off. Every once in a while an arrow will go right through a monster.

Using the blue blue ranger makes some challenges very hard to beat. The last one is impossible to finish even if all your shots land! You need to balance the missions for blue ranger by adding extra arrows to the count and reducing damage taken when shooting in last mission.

green is by far the best one that dot does insane damage that stacks the more hits they take so you hit them with 2 of your 4 arrows in one shot they have 2 stacks right there doing 150 damage per tick. i beat the last level on the first try with zero damage done to me

It will be nice if you can earn money too every stage you play, and can buy some equipment and archers who shoots automatically, it's a nice idea of game.
Tip:
1. To aim better and with accuracy, shoot aiming a bit upper to the head
2. The more fastest way to get a longest shoot with less time is aiming at 45 degrees from the ground.

Chose the lightning dude. Won with no problem. I also didn't have issues with aiming or hit boxes. Stop griping. Learn to aim. Good game. 5 stars.

How to choose your archer:
Are you a bad/reckless aim and want area of effect damage ? Yes - Fire.
Are you a pretty good shot and like gambling a bit ? Yes - Lightning.
Are you a God at gaming or do you want to lose every single game from level 6 onward ? Yes - Earth.

old-school-kongregate advice: vote up for ppl to read. the game is not really balanced. if you want to play this game without being one of the frustrated ones here at kong, pick the red one. and NEVER level up piercing shots. reason? a) the red one is the only one who has an area damage, a detonation inflicting ALL enemies in range. the green one only got a few more ("ghost") arrows, and the blue one got his lightning, which only does damage to few enemies at once too. sucks in late game b) if you level up piercing damage, you get a high chance your arrow flies through the first enemy to make damage to the next one, if there is one. plot twist: the detonation(most important area damage) hits on the second enemy. now try to kill air units, its harder with piercing. NEVER level it up, it makes you weak.

I find the 'The True Headhunter' challenge the hardest stage/mission in this game, because of two reasons. 1) The aiming system is really hard to learn. 2) Sometimes it seems that headshots don't counts, which leads to mobs coming too close the castle, losing time and losing the challenge eventually.
But overall quite fun game, only frustrating from time to time.. 4/5

Well, I tried to plug through a bit more. The hitbox/aiming issue is still really unpleasant, but I got better at it. However, on level 11, I simply cannot fire fast enough to kill the healers in the later wave. I go from full hitpoints down to nothing in no time simply because I can't kill them fast enough. And this is with max lightning, max damage, 3 points in speed, and 2 in crit.

The poison/multiple arrows powers seem vastly less good than the lightning and explosions - you're left extremely vulnerable to large numbers of enemies, since the multiple arrows do much less to spread the damage out than lightning or explosions, and you're often left pumping more damage into an enemy who'll die of poison in a second just to try and get a chance to hit the one behind it.

Here I am thinking the last stage is way easier than the previous 3 and then, oh shit 3 fireballs and so many enemies my computer can't even keep up... 10 seconds later, dead.

It is games like this that I believe developers don't even try to play themselves. The hitbox is way off. Also, there is no clue at all of where the arrow is going to go. Also, upgrade cost is so over priced compared to what you do to get money. 2 out of 5. I stopped at lv 7 because I just don't want to figure out what combination of upgrades is better for each level.

Aiming WAY too frustrating. I'd trade all of my castle's health for a simple dotted-line arc that showed me where my arrows would actually go.

The game is challenging, but by investing in thundergod its freasable, at least for the fist 10 levels. My main complaint is the lag as the number of monster increases. It's killing this coordination game. 4/5

To me, right from the start, this seems like an obvious remake of Clash of the Olympians, by ironhide studios, and i will grant you, its not a bad remake, though there are certain issues that have been pointed out, the game has potential, and is definitely entertaining. For now though, id rather just play through Olympians again. i give it a strong 3 to a weak 4.

I don't know why people are complaining about the aiming system in this game. It's pretty easy and I hit the enemies 95% of the time.

The aiming in this game is horrendous. I'm literally guessing where my arrows will go, given that they never follow where my mouse is and that there is a huge area in which I can't seem to hit. I'd also like to know why the heck I can't hit half the enemies I hit... Some improvements would be nice, since I'd actually like to play this game.

Love the game. Unlike some other commentators, I think the aiming system is perfect. I only have 2 suggestions... 1. Make a power meter on the right side of the screen or where the cursor is; 2. Add a couple more upgrades. Other than that, was a great game! Beat it fully with the poison/balanced/green guy, bout halfway with the other two.
