If you are here for BotD and just want the medium badge, do Golem Factory. It takes 20 seconds for about 150 gold. The higher-level ones are like 500 gold but takes 20 minutes+. It is not efficient if all you want is to farm the badge.

I really like this game; it's smooth, clear, and fun for the most part. However, it kind of hits a plateau fairly quickly, and cannot overcome the Grind factor that many other games face as well. This has a good early game and mid-game appeal; the end game perhaps needs a little work. Thanks for this!

Small gold quests give me roughly 200 gold for 20 seconds, while medium gold quests give me roughly 2000 gold for 2 hours?! This game's math is way off.

I think I found another glitch. I know development on this game is halted, but I'll leave this here anyway. Dwarves give a +1 bonus to items while wearing them, and when you unequip the item, it’s supposed to lose the +1. This works correctly when you directly unequip the item. However, if you swap the item for another one, it retains the +1 bonus. You can't exploit this to stack multiple levels on the same item, but you can use it to give all your items a +1 boost for all your heroes, as if they were dwarves too. I guess the dwarves like sharing the fruits of their labor with their comrades!

I'm trying a new strategy that's working well. I bought an elf-monk and equipped him with the best "class ability %" items to maximize his exp gain. I level him up with 20-minute exp quests and then use his high level to access higher level quests. The first quest in any location matches the highest level character's level plus 2. For example, keeping him at level 30 gives me level 32 quests, which I assign to 5 low-level adventurers who can safely complete them at 100+%. Exiting and reopening the location yields another level 32 quest, continuing until the final quest where the {max_level}+2 formula doesn't apply. After assigning high-level quests to other adventurers, I send my elf-monk on a medium exp level 32 quest to keep leveling him. This strategy is working well, and I'm close to buying the mythos race. If you haven't unlocked the elf race, you can use a fairy, as they also have a Strong Class Modifier.

Upgrade Tavern, sell all your heroes for Faerie Bankers, level them, then wait, ... profit! Also I notice if you leave a building and come back the quest levels will adjust so you may get more high level quests.

After selling your company you can retain a single item with the buyback feature.
I think this may be a bug since you should not be able to bring any item in your new company.

In case the race and class difference can have more different results to the quests, this could be a successful game.

For medium badge:
1) Watch ad to boost reward (30s for 4 hours of rewards)
2) Unlock Gnome Factory (250g)
3) Heal and repeat are your friends - if you need extra success % unlock Wandering Bazaar)
4) Unlock thieves and fairies to rank up faster, tavern to go on all quests available.
Overall this badge should take like 30 minutes.

i absolutely love the fact i can profit from the death of young aspiring humans, lending their loyalty for free so in can sell they body's for barely more than a single coin. :D

is the cost of healing not related to the amount of health lost? How dumb is that... As well as forcing you to heal to repeat the finished quest, this whole interface leaves a lot to be desired

So i uh failed 4 quests?! i don't know how i failed 4 when i saw it is safe and chance of success over 100% or little less, like 90%+

tip for badge hunters : unlock the shady market, focus on doing quests there and then you just go do something else and the market gives you a lot of gold when you come back after 2 hours, if you're missing around 10k-20k gold just start a lot of high chance to succeed runs in the shady market and skip timers with crests

*opens a gold quest, puts Meryn lvl:11(oldest member) as the questee, rating:deadly, chance of sucess:93%, puts Jiin lvl:10 as the questee, rating:safe chance of sucess:83%* excuse me? meryn, do you have a death wish or something? its a lvl 6 raid, you have done harder ones with a 50% chance and suceeded, whats different now? oh you're at half health.

your incrementation is horrible, it's better to stick with the 20 sec. quests since there is no real pay off for the higher quests.
same with your increments within those quests, completely arbitrary. 20 sec. then suddenly two hours for the gold quest?
I would like to like this game but it's just terribly done.

this isnt an idle game it's a mobile game where you need to keep clicking on everything. absurd amount of clicks required, and nothing is happening on the screen

Fastest method for badges, the medium badge is accumulative not total so don't worry about spending. You will hit easy going for medium.
Active: Play Bureau of Questing or Golem Factory quests, the quests last 20 seconds making the them the fastest for getting gold. Focus on guildhall upgrades (Under company) and buying as many players as possible. Only add enough members to a quest to ensure success, heal as needed.
Idle: Academy of Wizard quests provide roughly half of the gold the "Shady Market" provides per quest, but given the amount the Academy is 20 minutes and the Market is 2 hours... It's up to you and your situation. I suggest Academy of Wizards. Do the same, guildhall upgrades and buy as many members as you can. Make sure success is 100% heal as needed.
Upgrading the tavern may help but classes don't seem to help enough to matter in the short term.

Never mind, figured out how to select heroes so it would actually let me quest. Gah, idk if i'm dumb or if that is NOT obvious....
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Maybe I'm just dumb, but are there instructions anywhere? I have 0 gold, and 3 free apprentices, but I can't run a quest or train or do anything because they all require gold before i can earn gold...

Hire Human Rogues and run all 20s dungeons, you'll get the med quickly.
The game is bizzare in it's execution, it's almost an idle game, but almost not?
A management sim except you barely manage anything?
An rpg simulator?
Either way, it's not very nice.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I just don't really "get" it. Like JoeDeath said, it's like an idle game with tons of asinine clicking. But with the ability to lose your idle-bility. 2/5 because I got an easy badge.

Health: Useless.
Power: Increases success rate.
HP/sec: See 'Health'
TLDR: only use items that have Power, XP %, Gold % and (arguable) Class Ability %

My greatest disappointment here so far.
Enjoying a journey on the shore while collecting shells - to eat ! I'm Loopinson Crusooë - and suddenly : oh ! this one ! Both voluptuously spiraled and discretely warming my eyes, iridescent amber it is. Such a beautiful animal must have *salivating* a delicious flesh !...
Dang. Twas empty, and drab.
(anyway, excellent graphic work and while i'm no dev i've enjoyed the lack of bugs and the game's fluidity )

Lol, just adding daily quests (like 'find 2 swords', 'level up 3 heroes' and such) could have saved the game. Well anyway i love daily quests and would want them everywhere. Still for some reason i stayed here after getting the badges. Curiosity about races and skills i guess, were the game popular i could had instantly read about them in a fanmade wiki and closed the page) All that's needed is to realize in time what to do with this: vizit once a day or by alarm at quests end; send the company for less profitable but more convenient quests as we don't hurry anywhere; go do other things.
