It's why i love theses games : just one boss ...
And you don't need others things.
Just a boss, only the boss and us. A boss with so much transformations !

I find that the difficulty on survival didn't really go up that fast ( which might be a good thing to some people), had to beat the boss on survival three times before i had to start worrying about my health. Then again, increasing damage taken and maintaining few bullets would make it too easy and repetitive. The increasing boss hp is a pain though, unless you are using that feature to generate the increased bullet counts.

Well I'd say the first stage takes way too long. After about 1 full minute of it you've really mastered the needed skill and it gets dull after that. Then if you die on a later stage you have to go through it again and that gets tedious really fast. I only got to the third stage and then didn't try again because I didn't want to sit through the first stage again. So there's some feedback, either shorten the first stage a bit or make it so you don't have to completely restart unless you want to.

So i assume this is a...prequel? He didn't actually die, but rather teleported to his planetary base, where he was killed by The Hero.

Congratulations
you managed to kill that boss you see
the Grinning Cobossus
you're the hero we all wish we could be
You made it through the shield
then you grabbed that damage upgrade on the screen
you flew up above him
then you finished him off
you finished him off and saved us all
you finished him off and saved us
Now you're a hero
you managed to beat the whole damn game
we're happy you made it
but how are you gonna spend the rest of this day?
maybe watch a video
maybe press refresh and start again
Yes it's over now
we didn't want to make a longer game
this is it I swear it's true
oh ohh

There needs to be some sort of preparation between unpausing the game and gameplay starting up again. Too many times I got hit because my ship immediately moved into a bullet once I unpaused the game.

I just played easy mode. I don't get why at the end stage, they keep moving the bar back. That makes it easier, because then the gaps between the bullets are bigger and thus easier to dodge.

This was an awesome shooter, and great for your first game.
I'm working on learning AS3 using Flixel right now, and I hope for as much success as you!
Again, great work.

@Leboyo56 Burning ropes is only mainstream for those who started when it was popular. *I* on the other hand, have been burning ropes long before. And nonetheless, it's still MUCH more underground than using spacecraft.

i always love these type of games. i started playing these a while ago and know i guess i'm on the "bullet hell" level. i really do agree with deruberherr though. you should make the boss fights a little bit more dynamic. but overall, this is a good game. congrats! XD

Love extended bossfights. Few things for this one. Upgrade screen dumps you back to the action without a pause to let you get your bearings. Bullets and obstacles are tiny and too similar to the starfield, not unplayably but enough to cause eyestrain. Jerky framerate on my computer contributed to that. And the attack patterns don't feel like they're connected with the boss. Too random, and not in an Ultimate Crab Battle way. But I still enjoyed it, please keep developing.
I appreciate your feedback a lot, although I'm confused about the framerate - could you tell me your computers data and what the framerate is? (press "^") It runs fairly well on my mobile phone even..

Thanks for fixing the bug earlier that made it super-duper easy to kill the boss in a matter of seconds. Despite the current average being stained with numerous 1 star votes because of what happened earlier, in reality it really should be near the 3.8~3.9 range for both a good, challenging game and a creator who listens to our feedback.
Thanks for this awesome game, hope to see more from you in the future.

retracting my previous comment: I was playing a bugged version. I played on easy mode and was challenged and entertained. 5/5

Correcting my previous statement. DIFFICULY modifiers, maybe ones that affect scores, change the gameplay experience and stuff.

Just a quick fix to the updates section: "Credit goes to Ventero for finding finding that one!" Finding is there twice, just wanted to point that out. :P

Actually, the thing I like about this game is that it *isn't* addicting on easy mode. A nice little game that I can sit down, play, and beat in 15 mins or less on easy mode, and is fairly enjoyable. Top marks.
