The arrow down is currently just showing you the option to scroll down, it is not clickable. However, we decided at the end to add a scroller side bar on all the menus where needed. Currently, we are testing it, but this should go live really soon (probably today already)…

Area 51 contains sky blue bricks (boring, nothing special.) also 51+ you walk under them and just save all aliens (expect it is a bug)
Soon, we'll add something bigger on that level, which I assume you'd love to see it changed. But, let it be a surprise for now. Will let you all guys know about the planned update in the next days…

If the alien upgrades end up ramping up to the tens of thousands after just a few uses, we should be able to "Prestige" whenever we want, even if we dont gain any more PP. Because its literally impossible to get there before next year ends.
Meanwhile, we've done a bigger balance update, which should solve the issues you mentioned on the aliens. Also, there will probably be more options to get more aliens with the October updates.
Glad that you like the game! ..what exactly do you mean you can't turn off the sounds? Do you have some specific sounds that are still popping up even though they are turned off in Settings or you can't see the option to shut them off (even though you scroll down the menu in Settings)?
The whole process of spending PP's works on a 'sacrifice' model. In that case you sacrificed (spendable) MP boosters for a permanent 20% boost. However, as it may not seems the best idea ever, you start upgrading skills which intention is to boost your progress in the long- term. Yesterday, we also added a new way to get Free skills -> now you can exchange Aliens for them. So, you can now decide to stock the PP's (if you want) and exchange the aliens for better boosts. All depends on your wishes/type of playing. Expect more improvements in different fields of the game with the next updates we plan to release!

I finally got 10 pp and bought an upgrade.
I wont comment that I lost the bonus on mp, the next upgrade needs 100 pp?
That will take a month!

Edit 8th Nov: With the new update, where now there is a also an Arctic base with the same, but separate price scaling, which will help a lot with getting enough skill points. Adding sacrificing aliens on top of that should give plenty of skill points. We'll further increase that once we add more skills :)

Boring, repetitive, and laggy/choppy. Not that bad of a try, but 1/5 sorry, seems so unfinished and unpolished. Typical of kongregate nowadays.
Thanks for taking time to write this down! No hard feelings here, we are aware that not everyone would be a fan of the game and its features. However, we are determined to update the game further, to improve all 'bad' parts of the game and we still have tons of ideas now on further improvements and other content additions that will hopefully come out very soon. And all that updates should surely change your view on the game! :)
It may happen that at the time you get on Chrome the counter MP/s used 10 stronger units that were spawned on the field (than it took on FF) in the last x seconds. That may cause potential difference in your example. However, we'll still look further in more details on this specific example. Thanks for taking time and reporting it!

Hope this game gets better mechanics. Theres nothing really to do around 32 but leave for few hours and come back to click 1 or 2 upgrades.
This is still a basic version of raiding, but we'll be updating it quite regularly, so you can expect a lot more to be going on after those levels. We are about to focus on the progression improvements, prestige/ skill additions, special unit abilities,…we'll surely do our best to further improve the quality of Area Raiders!

Also, instead of the wall having a specific amount of HP, include a damage reduction. Example: in Area 5, the wall has 20 HP and damage reduction of 5 which means you need to increase the damage of the mobs to infiltrate the wall. You can finish each area without upgrading the damage or HP and rely on mob spawn rate, mana gain and mob amount.
Anyways. It's a really fun game. I am enjoying it right now.

When you change the browser view size, you know, the 100%, etc., The box in game changes as well. What happen is the text box reaches the edge of the allotted space and it goes down. The issue is that since the text box is larger than the label, the label stays behind.
This is how it looks on the upgrade when I shrink the browser size:

The mana gain text box goes down leaving the label behind. It'd be nice if the whole table shrinks instead including the text size instead of changes in the format.

So I can not get any further. I am in area 31, my income is forfeited as units start to get stuck over time. From 2k / s to 1k / s etc. I've learned that by restarting the game you can reset your income, but sometimes you lose any money you've spent on investing, or lose all of the money you earned in the past minutes / hours. Say saving every 30 seconds works only every 2nd to 3rd time. You have to move on to the next area to get a safe savegame.
you surely need to come back more often! :) In the whole month, you'll be missing a lot of great updates! :) but, yeah 3PT already give you first boosts in case you decide to Prestige on that point. We were a bit careful about the speed and the progression at start, so that we can now further improve/optimize it without the need to revert sth.

I'm at area 34 in my first run (No pp) and it's quite a large wall. I've been keeping up with units and attribute upgrades, but it still feels like I'll need a several days of play before I can reach my first prestige. Feels a little too slow.
It might happen, but the game itself wasn't build in full based on 1 event, as we can now freely add lots of additions/ other new/fresh content. That's the beauty of Area Raiders! :)

Seems a good basis for a fun lil time waster, it's pretty enjoyable. However, health upgrades become pointless very quickly, as keeping up with the tower damage is next to impossible with the cost. Also, just my opinion, but the anti vax kids should have low health but high damage, biological weapons as such

Update: If you click on the Raider pictures you can scroll, but not if you upgrade them then attempt to scroll. Your best bet, as to avoid this unneeded hiccup, would be to add a scroll bar on the right side or ensure the up and down arrows on the interface function properly. As clicking pictures is not as intuitive as you might think...

We'll see how the things go, but here the whole concept is not based only on the raid and the#51, but we can surely expand& improve the game even when the event and the news are 'old'. That's the beauty of Area Raiders! :)

I just tried to replicate your scrolling issues in the same/latest version of FF and it seems that you're right – keyboard arrows doesn't help you out scrolling on units there. But, the mouse scroller itself works on our side in the same browser version. The mouse scroller only doesn't work if it is not 'in-focus' – hope you tried to click on any Raider (within the popup) before scrolling?

first prestige point was at 10m, if i continued the run next point was at 30m... but after getting a point and resetting the next prestige wall is at 1B for 9 points, that was what i meant actually =]
We pushed first set of progression updates today. This should make the progress a bit faster and more enjoyable. We will do more in-depth balance changes soon as well!
Great catch! And thanks in the name of other players that have issues on this one. We'll also try to implement the drag&scroll button in the following week, so the scrollers will perform even better.

if you want the different units to specialize, you need their upgrades (of their specialty) to either give at least +5, or drastically reduce the cost of the upgrade. also, what's the point of having attention grabbers and hp as 2 different specialists? what's the point of having all the hp if they're not the ones tanking?
The upgrades don't scale too well just yet, but the specialized ones do have higher gain MXes onn their attributes, which will currently show much better at 50+ stats.

well it's a good start and has potential, but many aspects of it are rather pointless. as oxford commented, upgrading health is pointless. each of the specializations are pointless. runners do a better job at each task than the "specialists" do.

The prestige points scales as a square of total MP points gained. Essentially you always have to reach back to the point you were previously to start getting them again.
Progression might be a bit slow right now, we'll soon roll out a few updates to improve that!

My advice, dont have an upgrade screen that covers up the entire screen, I dont wanna lose sight of all my memers taking down the government while I'll upgrade them. Also scroll wheel, up should be zoom IN and down should be zoom OUT, otherwise its a good laugh. Needs some balancing work but that's almost every new idle game. See you all tomorrow!

I personally agree on the zoom IN/out scrollers, but there are different perceptions on this.. We tested it, and we get kind of a mixed feedback on zooming from diff players, so I guess we need to collect a bit more feedback on this, to finally decide if we'll be changing it.

There's a slight lack of balance among the different units. The costs go up but the more advanced units aren't really better than the last ones. So you only end up investing MP in more advanced units when the previous ones got upgraded a lot and got expensive. The real only difference is they steal more aliens, but it's usually not worth the investment.
It would be cool if different units had different strengths and weaknesses, like slow units with a lot of HP, or fast ones with low damage, etc.
We'll still be working in more depth balance changes in the following days/ weeks as we are aware that not all is best optimized/polished. Today, we already pushed a first few of progression improvements, more will follow! ;)
We do plan to add different abilities to units soon, for example: splash damages, mages spawning units,.. and we already can't wait to get to this part and to share it with you guys! ;)
