To describe this game is one word, "pretentious". I get the feelling that this game just thinks soooooo much of itself, right from the start where it claims it could make your computer 'esplode because of how great it is. I don't like how in the tutorial it says "see these bars, I will describe them later", why? because im to stupid to understand its just Asteriods plus upgrades in one level?
To describe this in two words, cluster f**k. there is just too much stuff going on.
In three words, "I've had better." every thing has been done before by better developers.

I got stuck on level 4. I killed all the asteroids and bad guys, but the progress bar still says I have a bit left to do. Bug? 3/5

Other than first impressions (Which matter oh so much in any product) this does seem to be a solid, well made rendition of Asteroids, with a smidgen of additional physics, but otherwise nothing new.

Initial impressions: Have not made it past the start-up screen yet. The blocky white text on a black background is a turn-off. Very hard to read, too much contrast, and does absolutely nothing to sell your game.

Finished level 12, but it dosen't goto the next level. The last thing I did was get a powerup, but I still just fly around. yellow par full, no asteroids, nothing on screen.

Wow, another boring rip-off of Asteroids. Still, nicely made, but lacks an original concept. The controls are dodgy, the music is very, very annoying after a while and the game in general has no aim or plot. 2/5

Game is garbage.
Fancy graphics just distract from the game, hard to tell asteroids from ugly/annoying background.
Tries to hard to be cool.
Pausing upon losing focus is just annoying.
1/5 for sure.

Really hate the in-a-row sets of swarmers - makes the game not about the asteroids anymore. Also, WHY does the weapon change when I pick up a different power-up?!? I max out the gun I like then get creamed when I pick up a different powerup :(

Beautiful graphics, classic gameplay with a slight twist, and a spectacular audio track; This game was very well designed and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As is typical with this genre though, I tire of it after gameplay stagnates... (Reached about level 14 before calling it quits) I was a little annoyed by swarmers spawning on top of me, since it's impossible to avoid a hit that way, but all in all, a terrific game. I look forward to playing more of your games in the future.

The powerups suck - missiles only on asteroids, green balls laggy, spread shot has a gap in the center on max level. And there are only 3 of them. Needs more enemies and missions and whatnot.

@Jessekruz, what the hell ? How could you even think it's stolen ? The big GYW logo at the end of the preloader, the gyw logo in game, the newsfeed that has gyw news ? cheers inferno11 for pointing that out. golumciano, some great ideas mate. A baddie spawning on you doesn't cause you any damage, but I've not made that clear. Some work ahead of me for v1.2 :)

Great! The two things I'd change/add: Mouse control of ingame menus (Quit pause button, because the pause is automatic). Longer time (if there's any) from spawn alert (the circles) to actual spawn, so you can avoid the enemy ships. This would fix the problem saucyJack told.
Anyway, it's a five.

I don't know if this should happen, but if my mouse pointer moves outside the screen, the game pauses automatically. It's kind of annoying, and I get spikes of lag everytime I unpause it. Overall, it's a great Asteroids remake. Thanks for uploading.

@kane95, great post, really productive feedback.
@trem It is just asteroids mate, I didn't want to add any more depth ( Hence no shop for example ) as it is what it is.
@bas @Urby cheers :)
@camille It's not a bug. The missiles only home in on asteroids, so if there aren't any they've got nothing to lock on to, so there's no need for the game to fire one

Am I the only one for who the missile powerup was completely buggy? When there is no asteroids anymore missles dont fire! sucks but otherwise was fun.

potential is there... screen wrap-around is nice, but can cause problems in tight quarters... aiming reticule is hard to see cuz its the same color as most of my weaponry
