rangers are best; i've done tank in front + 3 rangers in back. usually priest in front to heal as he can wear heavy armor and 3 rangers with enough quickness can hail of arrows three times before the enemy attacks and wipes out most of them on the first volley. can also take out the corrupter's clones if you don't have dmg reflection on.

Wow. I just seemed to fix the problem myself -- I noticed that my gamesave said "Level 9 - In combat" so I loaded it, played through and died, and when the scroll came up I just refreshed Kongregate. Now my gamesave no longer says "In combat" and I am standing outside the Corruptor's room again. Sweet.

I lost to The Corrupter until I realized I am better off taking off any dmg reflect gear then just doing AOE until the clones die. I have done it multiple times now without dying.
Very very fun game 5/5

I've been playing through on beginner mode for the past 3 days or so... yesterday I got to the Corruptor, and he caused my first fatality. I have a Warrior, Mage, Cleric, Rogue. The first two times my party died, when I reloaded the game I was standing outside the Corruptors room, able to change equipment, use items, and change skills. I reloaded the game today, and now when it begins I am automatically in the battle with Corruptor, and I do not get the chance to change equipment. This is really bad, as I am pretty sure I need to do this to beat him... Any suggestions short of restarting?

To mmxmm/all who have trouble with the Corrupter:
Use a rogue to cripple him, then go all-out to kill him(Overwhelm w/ a warrior, perhaps?) BEFORE he can clone you, because once he clones you it's likely you will die.

F-f-f-fianally! Once you beat level 10, it's easy - just take a long time. I tried about 15 different gimicks (rouge with 3 rangers, warrior with 3 mages) but in the end, warrior in front with mage-cleric-mage in the back worked the best for me!

Omg, What the hell?!
I load my game, with everyone on full health on the load screen, I then enter a battle and die and lose all my progress on hardcore!? Fuckin A...

How come when it says on my person, "Poison (2)" They then die on their next turn from 20 damage of poison? I mean, I know Hardcore is meant to be hard, but surely..?

I know the comments section is full of group suggestions but here's my two penny's worth. Two rogues and two clerics make the enemies go down easily. Right now I'm level 121 and each character has 234 unspent stat points on standard mode.
You did a good job with the re-balance Garin, but its still kind of easy at high levels even without using potions/shrines/stat points. Its all about the gear being impressive.
Honestly awesome game to keep me playing that long.
5/5

I tried 1 mage in middle front 2 rouges next to the mage and the ranger in middle back[behind the mage] the ranger had a poison bow so when he used hail of arrows it poisoned everyone and with rouges hide then find weak spot works quite nicely and the mage’s cosmic prison work well with the rouges’ coup de grace!

use the mage's power syphon and the rogue's sap strength to keep the corruptor restrained and ur other people will kill him.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
No, no the easiest way to kill the corruptor is to take off all the reflecting items(if you attack them you die) and use 2rouges with sap strenght so he can´t summon darks.

easiest way to lvl 50 on harcore mode...
1 clerk in front with 3 mages in back.
beef up clerk with armor and damage reflection on rings and cloaks.
have mages focus on intellect.

flaw - stacking buffs was taken out because of game balance. Annoint (cleric) would stack, so 2 clerics could grant +400% damage. As a result, it was game balance that forced the 'non-stacking' buffs.

Outstanding game!
I didn't have any bugs at all. I liked the little bit of a story... plenty of fun playing all the way through for the medium badge. 5 stars.

I used a warrior pumped with endurance in the middle front and mage, cleric, mage in the back row. Reached 50 with no problems. Warrior uses shield wall to take all damage for a turn while mages tear everything apart.

if you are about to die on hardcore or impossible and it is your turn refresh the page since it automaticaly saves and try the battle again

Why aren't multiple buffs allowed. For example, if I have two fighters and both use inspire, I still only get a 20% bump. I can maybe see not allowing one character to do multiples of the same buff, but not this.

The game crashes in about 50% of the battles. A great game, but the instability maks it a 1/5. Fix stability, and you've got a 5! (Firefox, latest flash)

Ranger - Hail of arrows + 100 poison bow.
Cleric - fervor or smite.
Mage - electrical storm.
Fighter - Overwhelm baddie in the middle & bloodlust remains to get mana back up.
Rinse, repeat.

Okie dokie. If you say so. I've noticed something with % blind also. A 35% to blind weapon was only hitting for half as much on some monsters. A new resistance? Also, when hit by holy light for 30% blind, then by the 35% blinding weapon, the blind was only showing 7, not 30 or 35. i dunno. not a huge issue b/c i still uber pwn all the monsters, but just wondering.

I promise you that the accuracy rating is working correctly, to the extent that Flash's random number generator is actually random.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
What on earth is going on with accuracy? After counting up hit% for about 20 levels, i noticed that 95% only hits about 80% of the time. And before anyone stupid says anything, no i didnt count attacks where i was under the influnce of accuracy lowering effects.

A team with cleric, warrior and 2 rouges is quite good.
Put the rouges in front, leaving the centre spot empty.
Then put the warrior in back and middle WITH A SPEAR(very good if you have the rare one). And in one corner you will have the cleric who will:
1.)heal
2.)Annoint your warrior
3.)uses the magic bolt on undeads
Give all power regen to cleric.
Rouges best attacks are: Sneak attack and Create opening(this is good, cause your mighty spearman can cause a lot of damage). Also don´t forget that sap strenght beats the corruptor.
The warriors best skills are - execute and cleave.

Damn - was carefully playing hardcore finally, and after many tries, and barely lost the Corruptor battle. Boohoohoo :-(
