You know every year I look for a game that will rekindle my passion in gaming, but I never thought I'd love a simple game like this so much it reminds me why we play games in the first place.
Great game, I recommend.

I loved this, but it crashed when I moved too far to the left of the screen while fighting the crazy old batcrone and I didn't save, if that was even possible. I'll update if I ever come back to this game and get past that point.

Having to refresh on what I assume to be the final boss because the game glitched out is a constant loop of it respawning. It's died over a dozen times and I nearly maxed out level doing so....

Say what you will, but rolling around everywhere like Sonic the Hedgehog is the only valid movement option if you ask me.

After picking up the sword and pressed space, while navigating the menus, suddenly all the keys stoped working(arrow keys and space), but the game didn't froze since Q for quality still works. I refreshed the page and the game start from a checkpoint rather than the start. I think I missed a cinematic or something. This is a major bug

for some reason a lil after killing the yeti while on a boat the game crashed, i refreshed the tab and continued only to find myself in lockmarne again instead of Olwren. trying to get back to Olwren using the boat is impossible as Gerrik will just stand there and do nothing

Small quick game breaker hint:
After you have both red and green capes, if you switch capes, your life
will fully recover.

This was an incredible game. By far one of the best indie, dark RPG's with similar themes. My absolute kudos to the creator (With a nice shout out to Sonny in Inglor, love it!). The only points I think that could get some improvements are combat against random enemies - the snow golems and zombies were a bit too easy. Also, holding down block and attacking makes most fights almost impossible to lose, there should be some kind of "shield-breaking" concept to balance that out. But everything else is almost completely perfect. Despite the capacity to power-play and become really overpowered, the bosses are a challange no matter how much you improve (Butcher will completely murder you if you try to just charge at him, even if you have maximum regen), the setting and design are amazing, the combat system is awesome (Skill-based, but even people with slower reflexes can do it), and the story was nice, if a bit... Convoluted.
All in all, one of the best games around here, period.

If you press space you still continue to regenerate even though the game is paused is this a bug..
Hit the + button to spread this

Actually a good game, cotrols are simple, combat isnt as hard when you discover you can hold the attack button to rapid attack. Also hint for some people who start fresh, you can attack while blocking, just hold both A and D, also level up the fireball, its actually very usefull

Am currently at the final boss however I am missing a lot of stuff,
especially only got the first armor.
Where is this stuff? :O
That boss can kill me in 1 second! O_o

Beat it in under an hour. The Shield is God-like when used right and makes this a snap of a game. Ain't gonna get too critical though.
Gameplay: 4 / 5
Sound and Graphics: 3 / 5
Storyline: 4 / 5
Overall, 3.5 out of 5. Should be a sequel.

Seems like a great game but with so little instructions I'm totally confused. I have no clue how to use the "menu" system or what the brown bars mean or placement of items. No clue how to read the "i" map, like what door goes to what level. And having to use the arrow keys only to navigate is as bad as using the mouse only in some games.

Game suffers from freezing whenever something new enters the screen, which makes a lot of encounters... interesting, to say the least. Also suffers from control issues, especially when trying to turn around. Great atmosphere, decent story. 3/5.

i got the 4rd sword, 4th shield, 3nd gauntlet, 3rd shoes, 2nd armor. skills are I dunno. I have fireballs to level 9 but I can't use it? I assign it to D but when I press button D nothing happened? I have regeneration skill & frozen armor to 10. Where are the other armor? The last boss is real easy. Just don't stand in middle. jump past the hand either to the very left or to the very right. and attack from there. the hands can't reach you.

Did they ever make a sequel? They seem to have set up one perfectly with that reference to Stan Mcreedy or whatever his name was.

Great game, good atmosphere, good art and great combat. Also nice touch making all the enemies on the final level yield crazy high XP, really opens up all the options.

Love this game! It has alot of neat combos, such as holding down a for slash while holding d down which causes nonstop slash and stab, or holding down shield first followed by sword and hitting back and forward like in legend of zelda, this game has everything!

I give this game 3/5 because the story was decent, but not "horror" (it has an undeserved horror tag), and because the balance between sword/shield and magic was so tilted. Magic, except for Regen and Pheonix, is completely useless and not worth the points you can put in them. The swords outstrip all the offensive spells in both damage and defense (since you can use sword while holding the shield button, but not use magic), and frozen armor doesn't actually stop enemies from hurting you.

Would you fix pheonix's reanimation animation? Whenever I get revived by the pheonix I get combo'd to death before I can do anything.

I wasn't expecting to see the great zomboy Inglor this game. He even had his shotgun from his original game. 5 stars for this game.

Good story, remarkable really.
Good characters
Pretty,really detailed.
Terrible controls,unresponsive at times.
Other than that, 9/10.

Has anyone stated before that the minimap toggled with I key can be replaced anywhere else? In the middle of the screen, it can be somewhat confusing.
Now, Amea is one of the very best games.

Wow.. The game is good. Especially the detailed work done with the graphics itself, animations, the ambience/sound, the amazing voice acting (which is a bit rare in flash games) and of course the story. The theme of the game is somewhat like "Sonny" mixed with "Legend of Zelda:Ocarina of Time" game mechanic.. (In fact, I was happy to see the inventory be the same as the Ocarina's) Anyways, there only one flaw of the game, it's the gameplay itself. I mean, it's quite buggy, and most times I find myself spamming the electricution rune to defeat the boss and whatever. The combat mechanic was an awesome concept (Blocking, rolling, dash, etc.) but wasn't implied much because of the bugs. Overall, 4/5 since the game is still very well done. Hahaha, I had an idea where, in the end, Amea mentions to Inglor about Sonny, and a complete crossover was done.. XD
