The logical progress through the game is done very neatly tough I found typing the readily made answers tad bit boring. Moar challenge!

"//" is two symbols and "*/" is two symbols. so if asked the questions what is the SYMBOL at the beginning of a comment, "/" is the correct answer, not "//". and when asked the question what is the SYMBOL at the end of a comment, the correct answer is "/", not "*/". unless there is a special programming keyboard somewhere that contains both of those characters on one key, then I could see // and */ being called -A- symbol.
There will be a new-ish version on December 1. I won't be quite done with 3.0, but I promised I would have new stuff, so I will release 3.0 in two waves. Expect about 50ish new lessons on Functions!

The more I play this game, the more I think of how much better it is to learn this way, compared to how I learned in school.

Ever since playing this game through, I find myself checking for an update daily, I'm either learning AS3 here, or C++ with thenewboston.

Not promoting other websites but if anybody want's to learn more types of programming, javascript, python, ruby ect. check out code academy. it's free, im using it to learn javascript...BTW great game GREGORYCARLSON
No worries plugging codecademy. I recommend people go there to learn languages like html, python, and javascript. That is, until I make games for those languages! hahaha

pacattack25, uh the green arrow is in a field of white above the word ramville. You then click on the next arrow and you will see the elite training zone next to the Story.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I can't click anything in ramvile-even the store also I *still* can't find the advanced training zone... could you make that green arrow that you mentioned like black because it may just be somewhere in a field of green

Hey, I'm not sure if this holds true in Action Script 3... But, If you have a boolean and an if statement, then you can write it as:
private var varName:Boolean;
if(varName){
CODE GOES HERE
}
Not needing the "== True" portion, for it is implied.

WARNING! If you press or hold ENTER without clicking the textbox in a lesson first, you'll lose a life anyway. Also, if you ragequit and you press/hold enter again, your lives will reset to 9, then 8, then 7... but amazing game overall!

I wish you could choose when to do a rite of passage, rather than having to go through each thing first. My memory erased, and I had to start over. Oh well, review time...

This is a great game. I have been trying to find a suitable program to learn ActionScript 3. I normally code in JavaScript and it is a tough transition

Thanks, loved it, and now I know sme of the basics to program games, wich I've always wanted to make! I'll definatley play this game through and leave a tip.

Nevermind my previous comment.I finally passed that test and now I'm at the Boolean.This game is freaking awesome dude! I cant wait for the sequel! Although I'm not done with this one yet ._.

Rite of passage question 12 for elite has a bad answer; none of the concatenations work, so you need to guess and use multiple lives here.

I FOUND A GLITCH (if you go to the training are go to a random level hold enter YOU CAN'T GET OUT) now I feel useful :D

@GREGORYCARLSON The bug has been fixed, thanks for the answer to my comment, we don't get many devs like that these days! :)

For me, a nice review of my earlier college courses. For others, a nice introduction to programming.
I did enjoy learning some of the formatting for Flash.

Blue Screen Of Death P2... If the problem persists, try not clicking the mouse so many dang times after I freeze. Sheesh. To email the DEV to complain about the problem, press and hold alt+f4. Otherwise, have a nice aggravting day!

The Blue Screen Of Death computer attack says "A problem has been detected with Programmer RPG. The cause of the problem is most likely the result of playing Programmer RPG. Since I, a computer, can only follow orders from the user, any problem, by definition, is the users fault and the DEV takes no responsibility. Here is a fancy number unrelated to the problem. nothing_special: it's asking you to write a line that calls the function, which leads to an output of 80, and set finalLevelAnswer equal to that

I don't know if this is a kong decision, or a game-maker decision, but i feel a game chat-room would be extremely useful for this. That way, people could talk about any issues they have.
I completely agree. The only way I know of to do this is to list the game as "multiplayer" instead of "tutorial" which is a something we could consider.

I can't like this game again, so I will just post to say make some more. :)
also, what program are you using to make games?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I kept accidentally clicking on one of the levels that I have already done. (in training) It's kind of annoying having to redo it over again. Could there possibly be a button that lets you go back? (needless to say, I really know one of the lessons...)
