Here's the math, for those who want to know. I will refer to 0/15 as "level 1", meaning pickaxe 4/15 is "Pickaxe level 5".
The gold gained in a miner's haul is 4 * Pickaxe level * Mineshaft level. Each miner's trip takes 33.5 seconds to begin with, and is shortened by 0.5 seconds per Minecart level to a minimum of 26 seconds at Minecart level 16. This is all Minecart does.
Example: Pickaxe 5/15, Minecart 2/15 and Mineshaft 5/15 means 4*6*6 = 144 gold per haul of 32.5 seconds, per miner.
I haven't calculated beyond that, but I believe the approximate optimal strategy is to upgrade Pickaxe and Mineshaft equally among all owned mines, with Minecart trailing maybe 2-3 levels behind. Miner should reach 5/5 before it gets cheaper than the next pickaxe/mineshaft upgrade.

The point of an idle game is management and progress. In this game, there's no way to tell which upgrades are the most efficient at any given point unless we take measurements ourselves (which becomes a pain in the butt once you have nine mines). I appreciate how clean and pretty and simple the game is, but I'm sure many of us would like this game a whole lot more if we could make informed upgrading decisions. It could still remain uncluttered - Maybe some numbers could pop up when we mouse over an upgrade.

bed goes up bed goes down, bed goes up bed goes down, bed goes up bed goes down, bed goes up bed goes down, bed goes up bed goes down... 9 minutes and 30 seconds later, I UNDERSTAND THE GAME NOW!

It would be nice to see specific quantities/qualities that we are upgrading. E.g. upgrades X seconds to Y second or A gold to B gold, instead of vague "faster" "better".

yah its not bad but being an idle with no off line support make me not want to bother. Im not leaving the app running as it takes up ram so i have a complete loss of interest in knowing that id have to leave it on at all times to continue forward. most idles you can get board and leave it for a week and comeback to plenty of money to spend on upgrades making you want to play again but the time gap between 8and 9 mines alone means id have to leave the page open and as i said i have no intrest in that
Huge oversight on my part and lesson learned for the future. Appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. It will definitely be applied to future games.

How interesting, a white box to stare at. At least on Linux and Firefox. I hope this will eventually get fixed. ;-)
BTW, please do not vote this comment down just because you do not have this problem yourselves.
Hey mate - unfortunately Adobe dropped support for Linux's flashplayer at version 11.2 and this game uses flashplayer version 11.3! Nothing I can do, sadly. Sorry about that!

great game but it really needs something in terms of clicking. i only have 4 mines and clicking gold is virtually useless, it just gives to little amount of gold to be usefull after your second mine. once again fantastic game,.....but the clicking though..
It was a measure against auto-clicking and I see now that I shouldn't punish players who want to play a certain way. Appreciate the honest feedback mate.

Very fun game. Simple concept, but very pleasurable. It would be interesting if the mines would become depleted after a certain time, which would add another layer of challenge to the game, such as whether to upgrade or buy another mine, when to sell a fully upgraded mine, etc.
I don't want to add any randomness to the game, or you lose the predictability of an idle game. I'll see if I can figure out a way to make it work. Glad you enjoyed it.

I found myself getting bored with it quickly. Gameplay is slow, and very boring, as you're doing the same thing over and over with slightly different character models. I enjoy idle games, but I didn't like this one.

Suggestion as you buy more Mines, and upgrade; the pickaxe, minecart, and mineshaft; the amount you get when clicking should grow. There is not much incentive to keep my playing or then just a idle background page. I like idle games that give you a reason to boost production by clicking but have a equal balance for those who want a true idle background game.

this game is ok but it misses:
1)statistics
2)some way to know how much money a miner gives
3)the level of a mine(how many times have been reset)

i got my miners to the max on the first mine and now the green checkmark won't go away even if i don't have enough money to buy any other upgrades

Just pushed out a new update (November 24th):
- Mines that are maxed (all upgrades purchased) can now be "sold" which will reset the mine but give a permanent bonus multiplier for all future earnings.
- A green checkmark now appears if an upgrade is available for purchase.

Love the look. Just needs some more content; something optional to do while waiting for money to accumulate would be good. 3/5 as is; I hope you do more with it!

Got up to 3 mines and got bored of it. All I seem to unlock is more mines at higher prices - there's no incentive to get the fourth mine. If you had a darkened upgrade that said 'buy 4 mines to unlock' then I would have kept playing, but as it is, a boring game of same old same old in each mine only a little more expensive, I lost all interest. Nice graphics and sound, would love to see you work on this and make it more interesting!
The new update lets you sell fully upgraded mines for permanent bonuses. Maybe you'll have more fun just focusing on a single mine? Thanks for checking it out all the same.

Think the speed is ok tbh i like an idle game that lasts a while. Deffo needs an offline mode though and needs to be bigger, why stop at 9 mines? If you added things to make it bigger (tool upgrades, personal safety equipment like hard hat, boots etc and make them upgradable) it would be a truly great game. Good game at the mo, could be GREAT!
Had to stop at nine mines for performance reasons. It really starts to lag with too many. I had sixteen originally but all early feedback was negative because of the slowdown. I'll see what I can do about the extra upgrades. Thanks for the suggestion!

i would say its a great idea and frame work and i can see it going far if you allow it to personally i would add that $ per min or $per sec mechanic and maybe add a bit more graphic maybe add the use of tnt and different types of units besides miners

it need to give you a amount that u make per second or minute on the screen so u can see how much u are making like a score and it helps you figure out when u will have the money to buy what u need i highly recommend you add it

Offline progress = close the web page the game doesn't "stop". When u load the game again ull have not the same money when u left but more .. IDK how this works but i guess the game records the hour day month u closed it and when u load it again it gives u the money u must have earnt in that time u werent playing .. OMG MY ENGLISH SUCS :D jajaj

I like the graphics. I like that you had different mines and each mine had different characters. It just lacks the hook that's in Clicker Heroes or AdVenture Capitalist. They have more going on that keeps you interested.

Its a good start to what could be a very good game,it just needs to be a bit longer, more upgrades and maybe add a storyline
