I like the game in general, but I think it still does need a fair amount of tweaking. The most interesting part of the game is the systems, but at the same time I'm pretty sure that it is suboptimal to pay any attention to them. I feel like just building your wealth and science investments up, and then building as many truth buildings as possible, followed by an unfold after the multiplier gets high enough, and then starting the process all over again is the optimal strategy, even though it's not as fun.

Saving is wonky, I would love a manual save so I can keep all my work.
Purchased 100 top tier truth producers and it didn't save, lost 12 hours of possible production.

Like it :) hope to see more quests as I dont know quite where to advance further. I am not the smartest person :P lol

been playing about 20 mins. things were moving along slowly. suddenly I check back and my funds: -1.64M qc (66.6/s) and obs: -388 zn (.004/s). Can't figure out what I did, is it a bug??

Great job dev. Love it already. What exactly is the whole land/footprint thing? As I currently see it, there's no reason to really invest in anything but science, and wealth.....

just a thought, and something I've seen other similar games do.. maybe allow Truth to be spent on permanent upgrades, such as more starting cash when starting a new universe, or allowing you to lower dependencies by 1 for x amount....
It's on the list already but you can put it on the feature requests wiki if you want to be sure I don't forget. I wanted to do that originally but I haven't gotten around it it, yet.

So it's cool that I have now got to the point I can buy 1000 truth foundations on my third go but I'm thinking the 10k option should be replaced with a custom buy option since if I keep increasing my active truth by 10 or 100x I'm going to run into a hard wall of ugh at having to click a lot plus it might help for buying exactly the prereqs you need prior to getting together the automatic version if it's easier to do first.
It's on my list but I need to block out enough time to do it in a way that it's more than just an empty promise. For the alpha and beta, I'm focusing on features. There's still a way to play unity games on chrome, if you want to get hacky enough. :)

If this game runs "incredibly slowly" you need an upgrade. This is not nearly as poorly optimized as even adventure capitalist and most people can play that.

Omg dude, the game is so raw!
- Scale all resouces to one order ( for example, starting with yotta - scale ressource, all must be yotta, cause it will cause misunderstanding)
- For buying an investment, some technologies must be required , and also ( for advanced ones) multiple ressources could be spent.
- Info about real state of population, planets, army etc
- so if you calculate culture, you d must add science and truth to the formula ))

Figured i'd point out a few things. Buying truth buildings on my second playthrough, removes most of my wealth and has very little impact on my science. For 2 truth a second, i am giving 500m/s out of 614m/s and only 100k/s science out of 1.5m/s science. As is, i pretty much can't play while i gain truth since it costs a huge amount of wealth. Also wealth gained from discoveries is useless after you start getting 1m/s wealth. Pretty good job so far tho.

So far I would have to say this is one of the most well thought out idle type games i have had the opportunity to play wanted to just let you know how much fun I have been having learning the different ways that the upgrades influence your empire. Great job keep up the good work!

Need to be able to buy more than 10k at a time. 20 million local service companies (for example) just took me 2000 clicks. That should take about 2 button presses.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think it would be great if you could add an "Auto buy supporting structures" option. So if I have the money I can click on a high level building and it will automatically buy all the low tier buildings necessary as well as the one I clicked on. I am fine with the dependency being there but not having to try to figure out how many thousand local service groups I need to buy to get one local trade group alliance would be great.

Started new universe with x10 after 2 days play, with second play i got to x100 with about 8 hours, now with less than 1hour i'm to x1000 game start to be crazy fast, need to be reworked. If i start a few times more mew universe it will be question only how fast i can click with 10k buying.

Welp, officially reached the point of having everything unlocked and not having anything new to shoot for. Going to cram all of my production into Truth and check back for updates on occasion.

Great Game, would suggest of possible an option so that you can buy say 100 intergalatic consortium's and it will buy all the prerequisites.
So it would calculate the number of each item required to meet the target then start at the lowest item first and buy the required amount of that, so local service company would be purchased first , then each corrosponding item until it can buy 100 of the item you want

Subpar first impression. "HEY, here's what's going on story-wise." *click okay* "And now here are a bunch of names and symbols that mean nothing to you."

With the importance of land, footprint, perquisites etc. - How about (and that would be a major feature, I feel) adding a graph/chart section, that would enable us to see what is taking up most of the footprint, what building is wasting most of the money, etc?
A footprint-usage graph is actually very cheap. Could you please put a more detailed request of what you would like to see in the wiki? http://first-empire.wikia.com/wiki/Feature_Requests

I didn't start a new save but I did take my civilization to a new universe and started over that way. Admittedly the truths I had learned speeded up things a bit but at least to me the new startup feels a bit too fast. I had half a dozen worlds join my empire in the first hour, and was buying upgrades by the handful rather than deciding if I should invest in vision or Force next.

Very awesome game. I mean... you can build a freaking dyson sphere! Definitely need more (higher) buy options for late game or a place we can put the number of things we want to buy. I would also maybe add some more technologies, right now you have to kind of ignore force technologies because it has so many multipliers you don't need them. If I were you I would work on adding content, because your core is awesome, don't worry so much about small features and focus on adding more cool stuff to do and buy, so people will keep playing, even just a few more late game things to go for like the dyson sphere will keep me going while you try and tweak the rest :)
Thanks again for a rad game

Capture system was very helpful at the beginning of the game, but now I have 261 million in the second fund, and my system (in the amount of 19, all included) bring me about 2 million of funds in the second, it seems very useless.

Ncely done. Though some correlations could have a bit mmore impact. For instance Force. At least at my stage (391ma) it is utterly underwhelming. 100 Weapon factorys produce enough force to sustain aa firm grip on my 16 systems. Also pirates are of no concern, because Trade is nearly as underwhelming. 200 Spaceports let you build 2 Hyperdymensional Malls. Enough to win over those 16 planets. Plus i cannot see an impact on wealth through trade. at all.
Last but not least, Joy: as soon as i was able to build my first Simplification research center i demolished every other joy-building except resort station. and of those I build only as much as needed for another SRC. Nonetheless a very nice go at the omnipresent idle faction. :-)

I love the dependencies - one of the great things about Derivative Clicker, and then you've taken it in a whole new direction. Force doesn't seem to have a great deal of use - once you've got your culture high enough new systems are included immediately they're found. Initial quests seem to be of limited use, first run through only. The summary screen takes a little understanding - formulae used within the game help. Lastly - can hover tooltips be toggleable please? :) Loving it so far :D

Well, at the very least the land expansion technology should work on colony planets. It also makes little sense that vision scales the way it does. You should be finding systems faster as you get out in range, not slower. I mean there are tons more systems at say 15 ly out to 16 than 4 to 5.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think that the more you advance, the less other systems are worth it. When you start the game, having included system totally worth it, but after a while, when you get millions GC/s, after you wait many hours to discover a system, it's worth absolutely nothing. So it's kinda useless to invest into Vision/Joy/Identity/Trade/Availability which are the main places we should invest, isn't it? I think also from time to time, we should be able to discover empty planets we can claim as land, and/or even planets we could use for "mining" of some sort. The way I see this, is that we could claim a planet, and build special structures on it. For example mining facilities, where we could gather ores, process them into useable materials (ingot like) with a specific facility. I don't know what the material's purpose would be exactly but that's an idea... Why not building space crafts with them? anyway love the game, just trying to be constructive! ;)

It would be nice to see the projected effects of a potential purchase after changing the multiplier to something other than x1
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think my assessment at this point would be "much less than the sum of it's parts". While the game initially looked deep and complex and interesting it quickly becomes apparent that in it's current state it's just really shallow and the only thing that matters is wealth and science. The whole expansion into space is just a smokescreen.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The current setup (lower dependency between the buildings, land has minimal affect, lower price of research) really set the balance off. There is no limitation in the Wealth - Science - Truth triangle any more.. so actually you can make as much as you want. With the current speed I am multiplying my truth by 100 hour roughly.. that practically will break the game at some point.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Game pace is slow in the begining but too fast in the later. in my 4th game day i can everything and connect all the system discover. after this will be just repetition of discover system and buy more building. The fun factor lose quickly and no more sense of progress, i dun even feel the need to unfold and restart universe. You might want to think about designing for the mid game purpose and end game purpose. A more graphical representation of the universe coverage might help, it show us like how far we are conquering the universe.

Got 179M Active and 638M earned truth. The systems are useless at this point. I just buy millions of wealth, science and special buildings. Then i just buy the best Truth Building. At this point only 1 science upgrade is relevant, which is ordered living doctrine. The only thing stalling my progress is that i have to buy like another 100.000.000 local service companies... That will take a lot of clicks...

Got some real speed picking up on my initial game.
Giving a whack at game slot 2 (I like how you did that).
Starting quests added a very nice boost for starting play, I would love to see the system expanded upon.
Keep up the great work.

Oh, and some higher tier buildings, especially in the Truth category! As it stands right now, just a lot of extra tedium to build all those Natural Truth Foundations :D

PLEASE make this game as awesome as possible, haven't had this much fun playing an idle game in months! I want MORE!!!

I see potential, Good Job. With dependencies back i would love to see options for 100K, 1M buyouts??? Or maybe a box where we could type how many "units" we do want to purchase? Or any other solution. Atm sitting on 7 700 000 "Local service company".

I suggest change the science development into "Science Tree" system. then have start from basic study and branching to math/physic/philosophy and etc. This will make the player to choose the focus instead of strong in everything
