This happens because the game is HTML5 integrated via iFrame and hosted on a different server. Also some (older) browsers have a couple of other problems, that could lead to that. You can often check if something is being blocked by looking at the dev console (usually F12 or CTRL+SHIFT+i). Either disable whatever blocks the content or try playing it on our website ;)

I'm too stupid for this... i'm just pissed at the spiders right now i didnt even make it past lvl 3 >.> freeze spell lol i can't stop all spiders from getting at least 1 hit on me and then the big bad spider at the end that will not get in line so i can shoot long range during his approach then the useless freeze spell that only freezes him 1 turn and slows him the rest only reaches out 2 squares so he's already onto me and he hit me and took my last heart -_- ftw i'll just wait for a guide on this one.

Other games on Kong load within 30s, but after 5 minutes I'm still at a black screen that says "Preparing ingredients...."

This is pretty cool. My one gripe with this is that it's kinda hard for clumsy people like me to correctly drag out the spell patterns. I typically have to cast each spell 3 times and that's quickly getting old.

seems to just freeze while loading various screens, sounds effects but just a black screen. all of my flash and browsers are up to date

Amazing game, love the complexity and diversity of different spells. Maybe I missed something but I sometimes struggled to center back on my character when he was just off the edge of view. That awesome little tooltip doesn't always show up for me when characters are off screen and moving / when mine is off screen. Maybe a bug or it might need to be more sensitive with what's considered off screen.
What kind of browser are you using? If you have script-blocking extensions installed, you'll have to disable them. It's also possible that your browser has some additional security options that interfere with the game being loaded.
That means your browser is blocking the game from being loaded. This is not a flash game, but HTML5. To play you'll have to disable script-blocking extensions and the like :)

Would give it a 5/5, but have to substract 1 point for the following reason: Having to repeat the full map on death nearly made me ragequit once. The cool idea of casting spell by gesture then becomes horrible then when having to do it again and again.

Nice casting system - good game play (really might do better as a rogue like with random dungeons generated imo) - Really the only thing that detracted was the story just plain bad.

HaHA! Just completed a no-damage, 100% clear run (I allowed myself to use Blood Magic, but no taking hits). I couldn't quite get away with no upgrades, though. Ice Breath 2 is mandatory to deal with the first skeleton in the maze, and I needed Shock 2 for various other things (though I believe any attack spell would have worked). I still managed to end the game with the other five crystals still in hand, though.

Looks like such a wonderful game. Too bad its practically impossible to beat. I cant beat the spider level on master, and I cant beat the skeleton level on easy. Please rebalance the difficulty, give us more room to actually use our spells. So many places make it impossible to use the spells at range, the enemies are in our face before we can kill them.

I absolutely loved this game. I'm normally more attracted to the randomized "true" dungeon crawlers, but this puzzle-crawler was certainly worth it!
Try to force a reload: Right click on the game, select "This Frame" > "Reload Frame". This a HTML5 game hosted on another server, so you'll have to disable script-blocking extensions. If you have some weird browser you might have to disable some security options as well.
If you haven't started the game on Master difficulty, you should see tutorial hints in the bottom right corner. Follow their instructions and you'll find out how to open doors ;)

-sighs- I am struggling with not being killed after I get shock, The rats in the room Are no issue but its trying to get the potion for the score bonus the chest and stuff I start getting hit and killed

I'm not sure if it's just me but I have no sound and the game starts to hand after I play for a while. Anyone else have this problem?
