Finally... I completed the second before last level.
Strategy has to be to use a boat load of Crypts and then just wait to get lucky and Freeze the last boss, while dumping all Meteors on him. Took me about 20 tries (after I found the strategy) to do brilliant on this level. It's too much luck for my taste. The rest of the levels are great though :)

There's a few quiet updates that I like.
1) Reset skill points: The CT2 has that, but this game and the level pack never did. It makes it a lot easier to get brilliants on one particular level.
2) Game pauses when you click on a tower to upgrade. It never used to do that.
3) Not sure if this is a bug or not, but when using spells, you can use both frenzy and fireball at the same time as long as you have enough mana to use one. That is, if Frenzy is 200 mana, and fireball is 150 mana, and you have 200 mana, you can use Frenzy AND fireball. You can't spam them multiple times with this trick, but if it's intended, it's a nice touch that keeps frenzy relevant.

odd, I have all 4 badges (had them from cursed treasure dont touch my gems. they all say I earned them, yet the display on top says I earned 3 out of 4 badges. My OCD takes offense at that!

Man, equal parts happy that a dev is doing what they can to preserve their work after the major browsers decided to screw over everyone with what they're doing to flash, and really sad and disappointed that this new port is so, well... just generally inferior to the original. A bunch of missing features, and just generally doesn't play or look quite as good.

every time i click on sth in another screen this game pauses. could you pls switch that off or even make it optional. for me it is unplayable like this

Things looking pretty good on html-version, thumbs up for that. But when a spell is activated, mouse movements gets kind of "sticky", not smooth, which would be rather critical when using meteor shower...

What the heck? The rapid fire power up didn't work. I had exactly 200 mana and all it did was make blue flame around the action window, and nothing else changed. It didn't even deduct my 200 mana.

First thing I noticed is the actions don't have the mouse-over tips that tell you the keystroke equivalents. I know what they are, and they still work, but I think you should get that happening again.

For those aiming for the Hard badge in 2019: Aim for the Cut out study/mastery, Mana pool, and meteor study/mastery. If you know a Ninja champion is coming, stock up your mana you can fire up to 5 meteors in a row.

Oh huh, I thought I was going to have to get the badges all over again, but... nope, they still count from the Flash game I played back in 2011. Still... it's tempting to play this again.

Great at it's core, but still too grindy, especially as the years have gone by. Skill points need to come a tiny bit faster.

For those wondering about the badges, it's because they reloaded the game in html5 since flash is no longer being supported by a lot of things

It sounds like the reason this game is in the "newly badged" list is that they re-released it in HTML so it won't become unplayable when flash is gone.
