There should be an option somewhere to attack the homeworld of all these dang fishmen that keep invading our space ports. Maybe even with the reward of lowering fishman encounter frequency.

I had 2000 attack, and my enemy had 1,600 defense. I attacked them, zapped them, and recruited, yet I still lost. rip me

I give 4/5 because its hard to get attack stats up when everyone steals your stuff repeatedly, causing an endless loop. Also Auto Battle isn't actually the same rate, it's slower than the enemy.

I love this game, but it's only getting 3/5 from me because you can be attacked by an enemy (who you defeat), and then IMMEDIATELY be attacked by THE SAME ENEMY who not only magically rebuilds INSTANTLY, but also becomes stronger somehow.

Yay, I saved these people and lead them to freedom as a just and kind hero.
Now if you don't mind I have a rainforest to cut down and a million prisoners to torture.

I just got high off of shrooms, wasted energy for a zap, and got nothing from it except a hysterical fit of laughter. 5/5 best game ever.

Played it again for purposes of completion, and it was absolutely one of the most satisfying playthroughs I've had in anything.

Just as a note, the refresh-to-flee-a-fight trick from a few comments down no longer works. Regardless, awesome game. I found myself struggling to keep up with the constant warfare early into the game, forcing me to really pump my resources into defense and attack, but what that then created was a snowball offensive that made me an unbeatable force as far as the campaign. That said, because I was so busy countering the forces of other worlds, my own world's advancement was stunted at abut 40-60%, and I never explored the underworld, despite having more than enough resources to do both. It was very disappointing that the end of the campaign prevents further world development, but it was satisfying to know that I had so quickly advanced from a civilization that could always be beaten to one that knew no greater force. Absolutely would recommend.

it seems that when you lose, it says that you lost only a little bit of everything, but you lose everyting but defence

I just got a glitch that sort of screwed up what was showing on ym screen. it sorta moved down and right, so I could only see the top left portion of the screen

refreshing the page will get you out of any fights. This is a good way to avoid battle if you can't handle it, like accidently encountering a 10 million health creature while you're only in the hundreds of thousands, you refresh and you won't lose anything (compared to going down to 0 defense and probably losing a ton of supplies.)
came in handy while i was trying not to die to the campaign enemy. I kept getting slaughtered 20 times in a row and being unable to do anything. refreshing now lets me build up infinitely without setback.
For your own enjoyment of the game, i'd use it as sparingly as possble though. getting a free pass will probably make you lose interest.

game is pretty addictive until you get bored of doing the same thing, it should have a world map where you can place buildings down, click them and it will show the menu for that building. And then the portal to the other world somewhere on the edge of the map, im just guessing stuff that could be cool if you'd make it happen.

An army of pink unicorns descends from the sky! Followed by fiery ghost pirates! And then a barrage of dodgeballs! ...
Oh.

So, I complete the game, and expected some kind of bonus on my subsequent playthroughs. Nothing? Really? Dropped the ball there.

How is this an "idle"? The game pauses when we are attacked, instead, give us the option of just fighting without backup happening automatically. Otherwise ... not an automaticish game.

the only real grind is early game. after that just focus on eternal prison and personal residence as these two will boost all your production quickly thanks to the prison's show mercy scaling with followers

The only thing I would like for this game to have would be a 'pause when not playing' feature. Instead of nuking my progress each time I leave the page, just pause everything. I'm not even asking for an offline play mode. Just keep my progress and let ME decide if I start over.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
How - exactly - is this an IDLE game? When you get attacked, the game does not progress until you fhusically click on one of the buttons?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
if you win a attack you get attacked about every 10 secconds, doint you think thats a bit much? i mean that means the enemie gets full power every 10 secconds, and you lose more and more every time... rly bad programing XD

We know this game isn't new, but we're giving it a spot in Hot New Games anyway because of an email the developer sent us: "We are doing a study on automatic game balancing using my game, Nano Empire. We have some exciting early results suggesting that we can improve game engagement with an AI, but we need more data from players to confirm that this is working." So get to it, players -- generate that data!

Why would you have an enemy that gets stronger every time it defeats your defense, creating a loop where you just keep getting beat down by it?
