also, i've only played two games, but it seems to be doubling my death count (at least when playing as Warrior class; haven't tried the other classes yet)

@denimtrousers, don't store your ammo in the quickslot, the writer is fixing that but it's currently glitched. A bow works fine, though.
@juzy, was it one of the "sustained effect" spells? they take up their amount of mana permenently until you turn them off. So if it was Levitation which takes 6 mana, you have 6 less mana capacity until you turn it off.

When I used a "spell" (requiring mp) on a warrior it used all my mp. When I tried refilling it it said: "energy full". And then when i got a +1 max mp, my Max mp went from 0/6 to 1/1. Is this a bug or is it meant to be this way?

Seems like Warrior and Barbarian should have more FD. They rely on it more to heal, being in melee, and they get hungry much faster.

@3p0ch, there's the main route, levels 1-16, and some side branches that go 1-4, then you have to go back up to whatever level you got into the branch on, there should be another stairway that goes down to the next level of the main path.

Apparent bug: In sewers level 4, I got a map that looked like it didn't have stairs going down after I explored the whole thing. It had a huge room at the top with warning rune doors which I cleared out, and if I click the auto-explore button it says exploration complete. I can send a screenshot if that would help. Also, rangers kick butt in this release :)

I really love the update to this game. I already loved the 2, but this one seems a tad more fun with a few tweaks. Nice!~
Yes! This time I'm actually planning for it. So I'd consider the game about 40% complete right now. I'll be updating for a few weeks on the web to iron out all the bugs and then launching on steam early access to continue development there.

I equiped a helpmet and my character isn't wearing it on screen.
Browser games don't have to be this basic. A lot of devs are making the effort and getting a far lower rating than this.

This game is kind of epic. XD
First death: I destroyed an object and caused an explosion killing me.
Second death: I tested the 'infectious disease' spell and poisened myself to death. XD

I don't now if it's a bug but when i received an item that i already have i've got the +1 like always but also the old one. Like if i have sword+1 i'll have sword+2 AND sword+1 (i report it because i remember in the rogueII to just have the sword+2)

Excellent game, thank you.
Some small issues: the map builder is sometimes placing walls and doors that make no sense. The number of deaths seems to be total, not per class, as one would think. I mean I played once as a warrior and once as ranger and for both of them it says 2 deaths although for the other classes it says 0.

Would still really like some sort of reward for the early deaths. Not something farmable, just a push. A permanent health the first time you reach level 5 with a class? I have a feeling this is a rogue-like but I'm struggling to reach that part.

RF3! yay!
Things that doesn't make sense: char should auto switch to sword when attacking within sword range. (I always dilapidate my arrows stock because I forget to switch back. 2- I just used sleeping dart, after which I attacked few turns bare handed. Surrounded it has been auto game over. shift+click to 3- walk on dangerous tiles doesn't seem to work on fire shrooms. (maybe I misread the popup tho). 4- items found should be oriented towards the chosen char. As they are rare, it is quite sad to find something to refill magic using a class of char that doesn't use magic. 5- Ranged, fleeing foes and groups of enemies make any melee classes heroes a lot less fun to play and/or unbalanced. Still a solid game! :)

Rogue Fable II is my go-to game when I just want to relax and slay some monsters, which makes me super excited you made a sequel! One thing I might change: I wish there was a button/keyboard shortcut that would automatically go to the downward stairs, similar to the auto-explore button. I love all the improvements you've done on the new game!
Thanks! < and > will go to down stairs automatically if they have been discovered. Let me know anything else that's unclear, as it helps for developing better in game help and descriptions.

Great! First try on the new game and I end up burning myself just like in the previous game. I gotta be more careful. This is one of the few games I truly love 5/5
Also, does the fire ball have slightly less range? or is it that we can see further?

I can't figure out how to put a weapon into the "QW" slot. As far as I can tell, I can't drag weapons around in my inventory at all.
You've got to open your inventory w/ c to rearrange talents and items. Please keep reporting anything that doesn't make sense to you, the feedback is extremely useful. Everyone who's tested it so far has gotten so used to it that I don't think we're qualified anymore to notice whats obvious and not obvious.

i was just replaying rogue fable the other day thinking to myself: why are there not more games like this? i cant tell a lot of love went into this game≈

I don't like that for some reason we can tell what's in a chest without even opening it. What's the purpose of the chest, then, as opposed to the item just being there in plain view?
