Just a note, dont be afraid to walk near the symbols. As long as you are walking without stopping, you are not in danger. Only stop if there is no darkness/dim effect on screen or you dont hear weird sound. Also doors despite any kind of melody giving, if it is singing a song, its a door, if its not singing a song, its an object.

The music is in some ways haunting.
I really enjoyed the game, but I'm not sure how well I am going to sleep after being jump scared by the ghosts. 5/5

There are two endings to this game: The first ending is the one where you collect almost all the colors which allow you to get to purple's ending and the second one where you get all the colors. Also, this is such a creative and cute little game! I think I got the metaphor (listen to what your mind is guiding you towards). [By the way, I think I accidentally got debug mode... I forgot how though... Here's the link if you want to see it for yourself: https://imgur.com/a/57g7TYt]

the purple door has me stumped if I go through it with the scarf it brings me into the room with one of the symbols and no way out if you stop a die. any clues

I see that a lot of people here are confused on what to do, but I figured it out. If you let go of the keyboard and listen, you will hear a song. Wander around, and then see if the sound gets any louder. Keep doing this until you can hear it clearly and then an object will appear and your scarf will turn the color of the object. Then you can go through the door with the same color doorknob. + to keep this comment alive!

...I don't get it. I mean, my hearing isn't great, but I spent almost 20 minutes wandering around this game and I still haven't figured out what I'm supposed to be doing, or even most of the controls.

The concept and the visual of the game is really interesting but I personally cannot make sense of the music half the time as the two directions scramble my brain a little. I would love to see the whole story of the game but I cant handle the sound mechanic. Here's hoping someone puts a playthrough up on youtube!

There are two endings, idk if there is a true ending to this game, for the normal ending, you need to find all the colors then go trough the purple door, (do not use the white door!), to get the alternate ending, go trough the white door after you get all and then go trough the purple door.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
to get the alternate ending dont go through the purple door yet after you get the other colors, go to the bottom right corner of the map without getting any other color and there will be a white door that will be usable that will correspond with the white scarf, after you enter you may now go and find the purple item which will let you go through the purple door and get the alternate ending

normal ending:don't go to the white door.finish 6colors then go to the purple door
alternative ending:go to the white door in the right down corner while finishing 6 colors, then go to the purple door

theory time, ill call the character Max because why not
max was riding his bike at night and was hit and killed by a car, the game world is either limbo or the afterlife, i think limbo because of the demons, i assume the demons represent death because they live in limbo and are found around places that are associated with death (purple door, broken car, ext) all of the objects represent something, they tell you what they represent when you find them, but what does white represent? i think it represents the physical world, hence why you see the real world if you go through it
nut the other ending shows Max happy under a tree with death at bay(the monster that represents death is far off) and i think this shows him accepting his death, and that's why its colorful now, hes not in limbo anymore

I was a bit annoyed at the lack of instructions but I am giving this 5 stars anyways for the amazing art and music. Granted if this was a longer game, I probably would remove stars because it would become frustrating fast, but in this case the game was just the right length for its type.
Thanks, your words are very kind. I'm glad you liked it. If you would like to hear the soundtrack, it's here in my soundcloud profile: https://soundcloud.com/singevolant

For those of you who were as confused as I was at the start, allow me to explain for you... This game highly relies on sound so grab your headphones and use your ears instead of your eyes. You are a little pixel person and your aim is to find these music producing monuments. You have to find it by using your ears and finding the little unique tunes they each produce. When finding a monument, it will give you a message and change the colour of your scarf. Once the colour of your scarf has changed, you then must go off and find a door with the same coloured handle as your scarf. When you find the door, you will have to go through the door and then continue until you have found all the doors and been through them.

ending one: get all doors (purple last) except white door.
ending two: get all doors (purple last) doing white either second to last or 4th.
warning if you use the purple door befor getting all others, you will die and have to restart.

i dont know if its a bug or if i didnt guess well enough how to actually play this but all i got to do for 10 mins was walk around an almost empty field and listen to some musics depending on where i stopped

This game is great, music is wonderful and quite relaxing. I like the way of representing the human life from different angles. But I still don't know, why this is a story about a person, who got into an accident? I thought he died in old age, at his own request (or committed suicide)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I honestly liked the alternate ending more. It added more to the story and made it a lot deeper. While the normal ending was more confusing and happier? The second just seemed to make more sense to me.

am I the only one who wishes there was a way to download the music from the end of the game? It really kinda relaxing
