Good points, all. 5 might be an interesting change. That would be 30 resource change at cost of 17, so a gain of 13, which is reasonable. :)

@Romain672 @daggumit I think a nerf to 4,4,4 would be way to much I mean your reducing the effect by 1/3 witch is quite much. We could give 5,5,5 a try, but I think it then will feel a bit expensive. I’ll try to make the change in the next couple of days and see how many complaints I get :P

+1 daggumit.
Actually thief let the player steal a max of 18 ressources, so it's a 36 ressources different for a cost of 17, so a gain of 19 ressources.
If you reduce the steal at 4, it will keep a gain of 7 ressources.
For compared that with remove ressources (who is too an excellent card), it's a cost of 15 for remove 24 ressources, so a gain of 9 ressources.
A nerf of 5 instead of 6 is needed. But even at 5, the card will still be an excellent card.
By nerfing the card to 4, it could change the meta, but i think it would be only beneficial.

Thanks @ morkeuly. I was not personally offended, but more concerned for the atmosphere of the game as a whole. Speaking of which, I may seriously stop playing on account of thief. (And yes, I know the counters). But it needs nerfing in my opinion.... make it steal 4,4,4 instead, or get rid of it. Again, just my opinion.

Ehh... single player just isn't as fun as I remember. Maybe it's because I played this before I actually got into real deck-building games, or maybe it's because the way the dev tried to weight single player, but the campaign is just aggressively un-fun. It pretty much boils down to how good your starting hand is. If it's good, you win. If it's garbage, you lose. You start with half the resources of your opponent (unbalance to represent difficulty, I guess), so it doesn't really matter what sort of deck you have... it's more of a slot machine than a puzzle.
I'm sure multiplayer would be better, but I'm not going to go in with half the cards still locked.
This is like when i went back to watch He-Man as an adult and realized how I consumed nothing but garbage as a child.
It almost sounds like you're implying my game is garbage in the end of that comment which I find quite rude.
You also both assume and expect too much of a casual browser game. If you had tested multi-player you would see that all cards are available. The variation in resources is mainly there to give you some variation. Though I have given easy and casual some minor resource advantages so that new players should not get a too rough start while they learn the game mechanic. The game does have 4 different AI implementations; the simpler ones just do whatever looks to be beneficial each round while the hardest evaluate all possible options 4-5 turns ahead. As with all card games there is a random aspect, but winning or losing is much more about the player understanding the game and going with a strategy than just picking random cards and blaming losses on RNG. If you are unhappy with the hand your dealt you can just click restart game and get a new hand dealt in like 3 seconds.
If I recall some simulations I did Easy would win about 20% of the games against Hard, it might be a bit off now as I have rebalanced the cards without calibrating the AI values.

ok i detected 2 ways to win in this game:the first one is simple, you attempt to destroy the enemy, the second one is reaching to the top of your screen aka getting to 100 in castle health to win

Huh, well I reinstalled the flash player and it seems to be working now. O.o Odd, because mozilla's plugin said it was up to date. Something must have happened with it, don't know when. Thank you for the help! Yay now I can get back to playing!

It actually crashes the moment the page starts to load, I get the 'flash has stopped working, do you want to send a crash report' popup, and it won't load the game. I've reloaded a number of times today, nothing worked. I get the crash on other games, so it's probably their preloaded ads (... which... I don't see, because adblock keeps my computer safe). Other games load, but this one doesn't. I also seem to get a 'session conflict' disconnect from the game chat room. (And thanks for the info on skipping animation :D it is adorable however, so whoever made it, it's cute :D )
From what you describe it sounds like its not an issue with the game but rather something with kongregate ads or your browser set up. you could try to reload the page without cache (Ctrl + F5) or reinstall flash player. if non of those work you could try with a different browser, if that works then it could be that your adblock or other addons are the cause of this problem.

*adding* .... and, I don't know whether it's the game itself or my flash player or the advert that Kong puts before it, that is constantly crashing and not loading the game. :( Worked fine yesterday.
i have notice that once in a while the game does not show up after the ads (probably a Kongregate issue), is this your problem or does the flash player actually crash, like in giving you an error message or something.

Yeah the only issue for me is that it takes a while for the animation to let you start a new battle, when you're going from one island to the next. Aside from that, I just love this game. I remember Arcomage and have always enjoyed it, and this version certainly does it justice.

FYI. I have now added surrender to multi-player, but it’s only going to be available after the game has lasted some time or when/if you got very few workers.
As with any card game there is a bit of random involved when it comes to what cards you are dealt, I guess you might have been unlucky with what you got and what the AI got. I don’t think there is anything wrong with the AI.
Practice mode is pretty much a sandbox mode; you can change all stats before you start a practice game. The only thing you can override is the win/lose criteria

The first three difficulty levels can be played with pretty much any style, offensive, defensive, balanced.
I kinda struggled on the Hardest difficulty on which I adopted a defensive/building playstyle and I won the campaign much more easily. Makes sense, since your opponent usually has better initial stats than you, giving him an edge and making it difficult to handle both defence and attack.

I keep editing my deck, but the game changes it to a different configuration every time. Yes, I have been saving my changes.
multi-player or single player ?
I am guessing multi-player, if so it could be that your deck for some reason fails validation when sent to the server, i could probably look into it this weekend.

Muuuch better than Part 2 and technically Part 1 (although it was the original and has the nostalgia factor and simplicity.)
Love the campaign mode and new cards. Love the different castles.
WOW
You can restart any campaign game, the exit confirm dialog should have the option "restart game".
As for why it’s not a mobile app yet, well it’s only me programming, and for art and audio I hire freelancers when i can afford it. I also have a full-time job so I simply have not had time to work on any mobile version yet :) I also still have a lot left to do with the multi-player part of the game, but I hope to start on an app in August (maybe).

I think I found a bug: if you use the magical protection card, IA won't attack you anymore. It can be broken if the AI uses the special caravan card (maybe isn't considered as an aggressive card)? And it's exactly the same with the ressources protection.
PS: Sorry if my English isn't that good, I'm French.
Hard AI simulates all possibilities the next 4-5 rounds and does what seems to be the best option, this simulation takes time. I could reduce the amount of simulated rounds but then the AI would be less difficult to beat

One of the hidden achievements should be awarded for having all of the four enchancements having up during a battle (having all four golden icons on your side :D), at least no achievement triggered for me here 'x)
Overall liking it a little more than Castle Wars 2, good job there ;) :D

How to win:---
Loads of resource cards (40%)---
A few low level defense cards (20%)---
A few high level defense cards (20%)---
A few high level attack cards (20%)---DONT attack early.
