I have to agree with doomkid34. The AI just wants to horde resources in casual mode, never attacking or doing anything other than resource gain and discard. Even 0 cost cards are singly discarded
I plan to add a surrender button, but I have been busy fixing things in single player, the save game problem in Safari took a while to figure out. You can expect more updates on multi-player the next couple of weeks

Hard AI taking way too long to think. Its more of a hassle than anything. Was really hyped to play it but its too much of a turn off having to wait 5 seconds between turns. 3/5 till its changed
not much i can do to change that sadly, the AI simulates all possible outcomes for the next 4-5 rounds and does what makes most sense out of all the possibilities. the down side is that this simulation takes a few seconds to calculate each turn

What was the deal with the graphical change? It's now like an odd combination of both #1 and #2. It was harder to tell how high a tower was, but I really liked the way the towers decayed as you cut'em down in 2. Anyway, glad to have you back! I didn't think the new attack cards would be interesting at first, but halving the cost to attack early on spread across 2 separate resources adds a lot of intensity! Can never be sure you're safe even if you reduce your foe to just 1 of each resource gatherer. Find myself and the CPU lobbing snowballs often in the first 20 rounds, much more than we could with just catapult and battering ram to choose from.

Holy shit!!! I can't believe there's actually another one of these.. I first came across castle wars (the original) on newgrounds and instantly loved it. Also loved the second, hoping I love this 1 just as much! (Haven't played it yet, was so excited to see it I instantly had to comment lol) :p

I think the spy card should be more discreet. In example make your opponent think a different card was played or let you play the spy card and an additional one. Letting your opponent know you played it makes you lose an advantage and kind of defeats the purpose of using it.

Save Game fix for safari users:
Safari -> preferences -> privacy -> cookies and website data -> always allow
will fix soon, just need to get the word out to safari users now they can fix their save issue.

I have managed to reproduce the problem in safari, ill try to fix this today (no idea what the cause is yet) it seems its working just fine in Firefox on mac so that's a potential workaround.

One small thing is that you should be able to see more info on what your opponent played during his turn. Currently trying to get info of that card does nothing. It also should be able to get info on by just clicking on it in my opinion, as there is no other function that affects it.
You should also add more cards to open up new decks, not just decks built around the singular 3 goals: Building, Killing ,Stealing/Starving. Make it so there is some more options, making the game more interesting. Also I suggest checking out the Steam game Minion Masters for inspiration.

It would be nice to be able to use "info" on the discard, to see what your opponent just played. Currently we can only see the card, which is pretty useless for special cards.

To those who find the campaign travel animations slow and/or annoying, you can now skip them by pressing one of the following keys: Space, Ctrl Esc. And to those who might play on a touch device, double tapping the map should skip the animation but I have not tested so no guarantee that it works.

Bug in AI Found (I Think): Magic Defense (block next attack), makes the AI stop attacking, not wanting to waste an attack.

I love Castle Wars. I can't figure why this new version refuses to save my progress. Played several times through the third and fourth islands. Despite me trying to save my progress over and over...it never takes.

This game have alot of time wasting parts, why can't I restart a battle immediately rather than being thrown out to thel ittle horsie, why do I see the opponent getting 8 cards at the start? (And why does it take so long?) etc. etc.
press Ctrl to skip deal animation, you can also speed up card movement in settings (click the gears on the top bar) i am working on a way to skip the world map animations but i need a few days to fix it. i guess a restart button would be useful, ill see if i can find a place to add that

The riding animation is seriously annoying. If you lose a battle, it's a waste of time to watch the little knight on the horse ride all the way back to the previous location, only to click and go back. Either have the knight already start out at the previous location so you only have to watch him ride one way, or just forgo the riding animation altogether and have an option to replay a match right on the last screen.
i'll see if i can find an easy way for you to skip the animations, but i might need a day or to to fix it :)
[UPDATE] you can now skip animations by pressing either space, Ctrl or Esc. double clicking the map should also work.

New version uploaded. Damage is slightly reduced for ram-attack and snowball, and curse is also slightly cheaper now. I also fixed the problem where more than 1000 resources didn't show correctly (you guys are crazy, I never expected anyone to ever go past 1-200 resources)
Is this a problem while playing the game or something that happens between each time you start the game (as in left the website and then come back later) ? It would be helpful one of you could shout or PM me with a more detailed description on what you do and whats not working, as i myself have not noticed any problem when i change decks and play.

It's a good game, but not well balanced. Building to 100 with a magic-brick-boosted Babylon and one other build card is too easy compared to killing your opponent
