One problem - pressing up when on the ground you immediately start flying as apposed to an actual jump... I feel like the first hit of up should be a jump

Lost quite a bit of interest when quick time events popped up. Game has been done too many times to put up with that.

Once I've unlocked the Tentanomicon, that's literally the only thing I wanna get whenever I see the book icon appear during the run.

great game!
Still has some cons, thus 4/5:
- the hitbox of the flying things in the second level is too high and too small. "Small" might be on purpose, but sometimes you can shoot right through the belly without hitting it!
- no chance to jump when you still have fuel, but just want to save it for later?
- pretty much unneccessary gore imho, but that semms to be what everybody wants since "binding of isaac" aired :-S.

I really felt like there should be about 4-5 more levels to this, but it was still one of the better efforts in this genre on Kong. Excellent art, satisfying gameplay, funny story, and baby Cthulhu = 5/5, despite the fact that I beat it with relative ease. Add to the replayability of it and you'll have a real hit on your hands.

My only problem with this game and the reason I gave it a 4/5 is the same issue I have with all the other games in this "genre" I guess.
The achievement/mission system is flawed. In absolutely no instance I should kill myself after a couple objectives instead always trying to run my best run. Let's say I'm lucky or skilled and killed the first mini-boss fast, but wait, "you didn't do the 100 meters no-shooting mission, so you can't have it!". And then you go and run 300 meters without shooting anything, get it, kill the boss, and the next mission is doing 200 meters without shooting. Why do I need to prove myself again? I just did 300. Why do I need to do less now? Why do I have to keep killing myself to update my objectives? Why completely disregard my best runs? The money and boss achievements go hand in hand. A bunch of the running achievements can be done at once. It only adds cheap replayability and frustration.

Full heal on bosses if you don't do a non-working combo in time? In a game where there's already a massive grind? What a piece of shit. You should be ashamed of this garbage. 1/5.

This is such a satisfying game to play, I love it!
It's slightly short in an extremely good way. I can feel progress being made and it motivates me to play through all of it.

Fun sidescrolling etc, love the theme aswell :D
Maxing drain works and richapocalypse really helps getting all those upgrades you still need. and remember:
Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn ;)

Was a decently fun game, but it gets hard to see projecticles in the stretch before the last boss. I also lost once on the final boss after killing him because the floaty rocks shot me during the coin drop (nevermind they also made it very hard to see the arrows to finish him xD)

AAAAAARGH! - Love killing the last boss. FINALLY! - Only to die from whatever crap is still flying around. Guess what? I get to do it ALL AGAIN before I'll get that achievement..

There's so much stuff flying around in the second and in particular the third level. Quite hard to keep apart what goes where and what to avoid, at times I want to avoid the mana and fuel gains as I am afraid they'll hurt. I wonder how much fun it'd all be for a colourblind person?

Oh wow, i even have the pleasure of starting from the very beginning each time i die and take up five minutes of my time just to get back to where i originally was before then. Interesting..

It'd be great if we could skip each boss after we beat it and have the option to start each game right after that boss. That would make this more fun and lessen the grind.

This game isn't bad at all, my only problem is hat the game is tedious as all hell. You have to get most of the upgrades, some spells, and some dudes, and even with maximum speed, it takes 5 minutes to get to the final boss, that is, if you don't die on the way. This game needs a slight increase in speed and it'll be perfect.

the first time i reached the boss i was like "pffft this should be easy" the first beam i got shot with killed me and i was like FFFFFUUUUUCCCCKKK

Reminiscent of Knightmare Tower and Frantic Frigates, so it's no surprise that I enjoyed this one a lot. Like those two, it's satisfying to gradually become stronger and get ever so slightly closer to the final goal each time. Like all the good shooters, it starts out very challenging but you can make it a lot easier depending on which items you buy. Requiring fuel to fly was a pointless complication, and needed a *little* more variety in the enemies, otherwise this is just about perfect. Slight warning: Last two achievements pretty much impossible without Reimu Hakurei-level reactions. 4/5
