I liked how well the characters are animated in the end scene. Their movements are really life like. Awesome that you can do that with pixel-art.

An excellent game made more frustrating than necessary by a few flaws. More than once I jumped at a guard and slashed only to have it miss because I was on top of him, which wouldn't have been a big deal but for the fact that the guards can apparently aim, and since there's no invincibility period after a hit or pause, you can lose most of your health in a matter of seconds. Other than that, a very enjoyable game.
Hello and thank you for such good feedback! However I'm not getting the issue described, how so they can Aim? what kind of hit do you talk? the grab system? if so, you're totally right then, missing that grab being on top of him could cost you the life, it's more used in safe places for regain health eating scientist or lonely guards for example.

I do wish activating the scream in midair would make you scream as soon as you hit the ground. Lots of times I've jumped into a group of enemies intending to kill them all quickly with the scream and instead the monster just stands there waiting to get killed.

Its so satisfying being the being that escapes and inspire panic and fear. Really good music for this short game. Liked every part of it. Is there any secrets anywhere? Hidden secret nooks or fake ceilings etc with someting unusual like notes or something that adds some backstory/setting or a small powerup could be something to add.

It is so nice when a corporation keeps scientists in groups assigned to confined areas where they cannot get away so you can top, rest, and have a snack.

Eating scientists is fun, but sometimes accidentally climbing on the wall is annoying. The movement control is really sensitive.
Oh! when you press up or down + directional button it will stick to a wall! sorry if the instructions weren't clear enough in the level 1, you could also drop the climbing just pressins the opposite directional key.

Well done game. I like how the enemy AI stops and watches me when I'm on a ledge and how they only shoot me when I'm climbing a wall and then I stop on the same level as them. Loved the visual of the game, its simplicity, and the fact it was easy to play. 5/5
Maybe trying in a different browser? I do recommend Chrome since it gives the best performance, but you could also try Opera or Firefox. that's the thing with web based games, I can't never be sure of the performance in all browsers since they may be different depending on the PC.

I love a game where I have to think to myself - "Do I eat all these scientists now? Or save a few in case I get hungry later..."
Hello arend! Indeed, Savestates are a asynchronous process, so if you died too early after getting the checkpoint, only will charge the previous one that you reached, maybe we could improve that detail putting the checkpoint in more safe places! cheers and I'm sorry that you had this problem!
I'm sorry :/ we made the game in 72 hours for a game jam so a control binding system wasn't a option in that amount of time! we will surely do it in a extended version and probably must be some blocked rights because we're using LocalStorage in HTML5! I do suggest trying with other browser or avoiding use it in private mode or veryfing if your browser can store data for savegames!

Awesome game-play, tough at times but easy at others. Really interesting and great mysterious story-line. One of the best games I've ever played. 5/5
I'm sorry that the tutorial in the beginning wasn't clear enough for y Slaughter, we made the game in 3 days and we just polished to date. in the beginning we show the controls and in the next levels we explain the mechanics and we're sorry if wasn't clear enough or too difficult!

I like how the game makes the pacifist run challenging, but not impossible (certified). If only I could break the door terminal with other method than slashing (which can accidentally harm people around) it would be just perfect.

Fantastic Game! Beat it, then beat it again without killing anyone. I'm a little upset that there's no reward for doing it, but otherwise fantastic game!
Okay, so I was curious enough to try this out. It actually seems possible, maybe -- I got pretty far by jumping around a lot and trying to time it so I was at the guards' backs. There's also a shortcut if you go up a "down" area, but then there are scientists frantically running in front of the "switch" you need to destroy at the top part of the shortcut. The room after that (where you see the dialogue text at the bottom of the screen) is also pretty tricky -- that's where I'm stuck. It might be possible, though. Someone who's better at this game than I am should try it!

Honestly I never found a good use for the scream, it was pretty easy to just slash my way through everybody. Game was fun though, short and satisfying.
While you scream, you're indestructible and the AOE will be sometimes safer than just slash them all! glad to hear that you liked even tho you didn't like the ending. :)
