Fantastic game, hoping for a sequel, unlike others, the romance part good because it gave purpose to the story other than escaping or killing everything. It also was a small plot twist because when "it" said they can feel the heart beating I thought it means to kill the leader or something. Anyways very good game

Ok, this is very not good... upon multiple deaths the level starts from an earlier checkpoint instead of the latest. Maybe it was intended to prevent 'being trapped' in a difficult room with low health, but it is enormously frustrating.
Indeed, Savestates are a asynchronous process, so if you died too early after getting the checkpoint, only will charge the previous one that you reached, maybe we could improve that detail putting the checkpoint in more safe places! cheers and I'm sorry that you had this problem!
None of the 2 control schemes worked out for you? I'm sorry :/ we made the game in 72 hours for a game jam so a control binding system wasn't a option in that amount of time! we will surely do it in a extended version.
If you're experiencing laggy controls I do suggest trying with another browser, Internet explorer or Edge usually has this kind of problem, Chrome or firefox might be the best shot due to the WebGl compatibility.
Hello there and thank you! we really did our best in the 72 hours we developed this game for the Ludum Dare 37 (a Game Jam), that's why isn't longer bro.
However, I've been polishing since then, I've tweaked some stuff(climbing, bugfixes, platforming, game design stuff) and probably will be tweaking the jump off the walls once I get some feedback.

MILD SPOILERS AHEAD
Easily one of the best games I've ever seen out of a Ludum Dare challenge tbh. I greatly enjoyed the various attacks you can choose from; it really makes the player feel like their in a tactical strategy instead of a mindless bloodbath. The story, while fairly straightforward, did have a really nice twist at the end - instead of being just a bloodthirsty quest for revenge, which is what I assumed at first, it gives our hero a very human touch. If this were a fully fleshed out Steam game with more content (and hopefully more story too) I'd be first to buy this :D

I really loved the game. I like games with an art style like this, I would love to see more content soon. The only issues I had were jumping off walls. Great game!

A fun game with a simple but endearing story. The biggest gripe I have is that jumping off walls feels clunky.
I'm also confused as to why there's a walk button when there is never a need to move slowly.
To be completely honest, at first it was the opposite for the jam, you'd walk and you'd have to press shift to run, that was my idea, thought it would be good, ended up being a very annoying idea so we switched buttons after some time lol but yes it's completely useless to walk haha.

If you had more time to make this than 72 hrs, than i would recommend a level system, where eventually you break outside and have to survive out there. Great game!

Great game with great atmosphere. Retro gaming style became overused recently but not here, totally part of the spirit of a game jam. One update maybe : the jumps, and specially the moving during jump, are clumsy, need a smoothing there maybe. Will totally help funding a sequel on Steam or elsewhere. (Like BroForce maybe ?) Continue the great work guys !!!

its been far too long since something THIS GOOD that is a mix of old school and new school came out
i was starting to loose faith in thiss website because of all the boring idle games that were not only being made but being featured
so thank you game makers for restoring my faith

Great and fun game. The only problem I had was attacking at some points. I'll be right next to an enemy, but because I'm faced away from him he won't take damage. Could you add a little bit of range for behind the player as well for situations like these? I had a lot of fun playing it otherwise and hope to see more of it in the future. Maybe some heavy enemies that take two hits.

My only problem, that made me stop playing this game at level 2, was that the feed ability is quite hard to use, kinda like a "skillshot" although you need it to survive. I found myself dead many times because i pressed x just a pixel away from the target. I think that ability should not make the character stay still. It should be made to be like "run and grab". That's all
Thank you for such Interesting feedback bro!, we thought that grabbing and running would be too overpowered, so, you can just eat while standing, the abilitie is for regain health so, eating the scientist or single guards would be the proper approach for that ability in my opinion, eating front a horde isn't a good idea haha. cheers and thanks!

Wow its really nice how the creator responds to most comments if not all good job on the game also try to keep an eye on the leader board many games that feature those have some hacker problems

This was so fun!!! I had no idea that the end was going to be that! But so amazing. I loved having a room full of scientists and eating them one by one. great game.

Wall climbing is broken in areas that require climbing walls that don't go all the way down which makes the game unplayable at that point.
Hello there and I'm sorry that didn't worked for you! please explain me deeply why is it broken in a PM! my testers didn't have problems with that and as you can see people could make it (but hey, indeed, we are aware that the climbing needs some tweaking!), right now it is jumping against the wall, so if you explain me the details it would really help!
I'll be polishing wall climbing the next couple days!

Pretty fun game. My only complaint would be that the sticking to walls mechanic felt sorta wonky. Other than that, it was very good.

Here's a challenge: try beating the game without killing people/destroying turrets. If you accidentally do one of those things, die and restart from last checkpoint. Beating the game this way is possible, I just did it :)
The pacifist run has been made! Sadly the highscores records only the max you did, but Maybe soon I'll make a new leaderboard for pacifist! its just fun making new stuff when I got some free time.
