Its like simple 2d "Prototype".Like orginal it have something that i really love in that action games, that is drain life from enemies to restore health. secoud good thing is walking on walls.

Killing everyone makes it harder to build up health by going back for guards or scientists who were spared. One way to make that more necessary is to have an adjustable difficulty -- the higher the difficulty setting, the less health you have when you begin an area or restart from a checkpoint.

The best kind of run I've mastered is using only your slash and never eating anyone, Anybody have anything really challenging?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
yeah. i forgot how heavily stacked against you this game was until just now. also, way to put me at a place where there were only soldiers with guns and 1 life and a shit ton of turrets too.
I recall getting past that plart once before, but not how I did it.
Also, screw killing 50 ppl for a badge. I should auto get that for having completed the damn game!

Screaming is also what we call "Fus-Ro-Dah", we use it to f*ck up the enemy really badly and also eliminate dragons (K or Z to scream)

It's a bit of a problem that I can't shout in midair. The only time I'd want to use it is when I jump into the middle of a swath of guards and would take damage anyway, but they always start shooting me before I land on the ground, so the invulnerability doesn't matter because I'm already getting shot. Slashing is almost strictly better ime.

Need to be able to change settings, spammed SPACE and W lots of times trying to kill turrets in the level before you meet the girl

This is a retro style game. Apparently the dev never heard of "1 second ghost" where you are invulnerable for a second after getting hit...your health can go from full to 0 in some parts even before you get a chance a scream because it doesn't always start up fast enough.
Nice feedback, kinda rude but I'll take it. The game was made in 3 days so that didn't let us take more improvements! hopefully you could try again and see if you can finish the game.
I got a mail from the Kongregate staff where they said that they got some troubles with WebGL games triggering some virus-warning, maybe is the same case with your anti-virus bro.

At first it felt like the game was what the POV of the alien from Stranger Things would be like, and it also gave off the same vibe, that is amazingly well put together, and at the edge of your seat. This game is a 10/10 with an exception to the health, it'd be nice to know where your health is at in perspective to max health.

Simple graphics, fast paced gameplay, and awesome music!! 5 stars from me! (And just a tidbit: you can destroy the guns with a slash!)

I am having the trouble where the controls do random things on there own sometimes. Like walking more then i wake jumping on its own then sometimes the controls feel so sluggish.
wow that's really weird, I'm willing to help you if you pm me the details! it could be that some browsers have some lag issues depending on some experimental flags activaded. Internet explorer for example or edge has really lag issues with WebGL games!

Not only does screaming hurt me, but it seems to offer no resistance to guns? Seems like the opposite of invincibility.

I think that real scientists would probably flee in panic to a corner or try to hide instead of running around a carnivore monster.

Really fun but the control mapping is annoying. z for the scream does not feel right. it should be x for slash, c for grab/chomp, and v for scream. ultimate abilities are usually at the end of the mapping.
You're totally right, I agreed. Maybe W A S D + H J K could suit you better! I'll be adding a control rebinding system in the extended version of course.

somehow my checkpoints can't be successfully saved. so far I've only reached the first checkpoint and maybe it's in connection with de/activated cookies (then I would prefer knowing about it, when starting the game)? but the graphics are cool, even it's mostly only red, white and black. the tv's in the background look irritating to me, because I thought they would show something or could be smashed...
Indeed, probably must be some blocked rights because we're using LocalStorage in HTML5! I do suggest trying with other browser or avoiding use it in private mode or veryfing if your browser can store data for savegames!

Hit detection is really wonky. It was hard to tell when I was facing the enemy or flailing pointlessly at a wall. If my "eat" function was more of an AoE effect instead of directional it would have been a huge help.
I was told that a couple of times, however, here I don't face any problems with the hit detection, (this is a brand-new issue that never told me before tho, could be Kongregate hosting server), but pm your details! if your game running slowly or fast, which browser do you use, etc.

Good game, but it makes it impossible to finish it because sometimes I can't jump anymore, no matter what I do to try to fix it.
Pm me the details please! this isn't happenning here so I need to see what browser are you using, the version, if you have any experimental flag activated, or something else!

Can we have more backstory on this? like what is our protagonist and his/her spouse, why is it happening, etc. in the extended version?

Pretty fun game. Some issues with actually being able to hit enemies. If I'm standing on top of someone and can't hit them, then me dying from them shooting me seems a bit odd. The lack of invincibility frames is a bit brutal at times. The jump button seemed a little temperamental occasionally, mainly in places where it was going from wall jump to run to jump. Overall good game, a little tightening on the controls and would be a lot more fun. Very good story though, kudos for that.
I'm understanding now, if you're overlaping them, can't you kill them? or is it just with the grab? I'm not experimenting this kind of issue here, but I'll surely polish this soon enough or for the extended version, the wall jump works only when you hold W or S + directional key, so if you're aiming to the wall and actually jumping (example holding W + A for left wall) it will grab to the wall, otherwise, it wont, I'm pretty sure it could have been explained more deeply in-game but being made in 3 days didn't let us that time for making this kind of polishment! I however polished a lot about the controls, so I'm glad you liked it.

My monster refuses to reach down to the floor when I hit the grab-and-eat button. Pretty snobby to insist on its food being upright.

I like it A LOT the color the mechanics but you need to work on the hitbox I mean I can stand on someone and not be able to reach out and grab or slash them. Also when I open a door can the camera pan to the door I've opened that would be really awesome.
