I remembered having so much fun playing this game when I first found it a few years ago that I wanted to play it again. Unfortunately, the game freezes when I kill Lord Haddock, I haven't tried any other endings.

I tried three times to beat fountain of youth monster, couldn't do it. I did manage to turn graphics quality down to low so no lag, got monster down to about 1/4 life, 1000/4000 couldn't win. though, perhaps more crew helps somehow?

I lagged again at fountain of youth battle and lost I got plenty of ammunition and max ship. I got all the items, am I missing something?

I had so much fun with this game :D I really enjoy the way you've animated the sea monsters and the details you've added with stories in the taverns and the histories of ports

OK, allowing us to progress through the initial story at our own pace would be nice. I don't read at a milisecond a minute, so why would you have the words progress at such a pace???

I'm a little late on playing this one. Playing it though, I don't understand why there are no badges for this game. It's fun, semi-challenging and offers some replay value as well. Mid-game could've used some more action and maybe a bigger variation in enemies might be appreciated, but overall, a very good flash game.

dear dev to reply to your comment at mewvq you can make those trophies keep there dificulty and have it go after 100 weeks simply by disabling trophies or rewording them saying they must be completed in 100 weeks but id love to play this game but if it ends after 100 weeks its not worth my time so do let me know if you decide to bring it to continue and ill def try it then but time limited games get boring and bland fast

Having played through a couple times, here are some tips for newcomers. 1) parrots are useful in early-midgame sections, but after that they do less damage than your normal cannons. You should only use them when you are fighting a boss and need to go balls to the wall. 2) grape and chain are useless against ships. Assuming you have hotshot, you will deplete their hull MUCH faster than their sails or their crew. Save your grape and chain for sea monsters, chain shot lowers the creature's attack and grape acts as a second cannon. 3) in the early-middle game you should spend all the time you have trying to save for the next ship. That is the only way you will progress. It is worth it to stock up on men and sack all the ports you can, unless you are trying to get the FoY ending. 4) monkeys do FA. Don't buy them.

Just re-watched Curse of the Black Pearl. Got me in the mood to revisit this game. Bummer that this game didn't get a sequel.

major bug when a battle started the screen was just the ships sailing and I couldn't fire and I din't see the enemy ship fire yet my hull was just continually going down and I couldn't do anything and even after it reached 0 it just stayed there....

Is it just me or...does Haddock actually have lover health then the other pirate ship boss (from De *I don't know the next name*) and The Kraken?

How to defeat Haddok a different way: 1) You need a lot of crew members. 2) Only waste cannons on the regular enemies. 3) You need a lot of special attacks. 4) Get the enough cash you need. 5) When night 2 or 1 comes, repair the ship. 6) Use EVERY special attack (and cannon) on Haddok. He goes much faster down. And then you can become a respected pirate.

someone tell me how to beat the fountain of youth monster.... 4000hp... man... I got my ship fully upgraded to 750 hp... but its attack is like 130ish per turn

Ive seen this game many times before, just with different graphics and title. All the pirate ships are the same, sail the caribean, trade resources, buy ammo, upgrade ship. its exactly the same. If this was the first time I was seeing this game I would love it...

Great concept and a lot of potential to work with and I love the art, however it's got some issues that you may want to consider. Damage was impossible to calculate (to any accuracy or near accuracy) with cannons. Same goes with crew.
First playthrough on default difficulty had me trying to guess where I needed to go and what I needed to do (even with unlocking map areas via ship purchases--i.e. difficulty ratings for areas increasing). I got locked into a sea monster loop, making the 'random' feel of encounters not so random. (It also made me wonder how there were any ports/ships anywhere because the monsters should have banded together and pwned them. Plus, it would make an epic monster movie--whenever movies are invented in this timeline.) With the sea monster loop, I didn't get the drops that would have helped me avoid running into reefs, and ended up spending entirely too much time trying to rescue would-be shipmates or repairing my ship. That made 100 weeks seem way too short.

there should be infinity weeks because i all most bought everything then the final week came to kill the person i was a bit annoyed not buying the last ship but still won the battle
