this game is great but i hate how i lost all of my crew from sirens and sea monsters and i had to repeat the same thing so i couldn't progress

Every time I try to drink from the fountain of youth, I die and don't get the trophy. Do I need some kind of reputation score in order to live?

Quite fun, but I wish it had lasted longer. (That's what she said.) Maybe expand into a Continue mode where the risks are higher?

@Felixx12340 It isn't some sort of random encounter event. You have to click on it on the map during the week that it is there.

While I do enjoy the game, I'd like to point some things out. Later in the game, boarding enemy vessels feels a bit pointless as it is much faster to just sink the ship and your ship will not be as damaged in the end if you do that. Also, the whole good/bad thing seems a bit trite. Doing bad things doesn't seem to get you anything anyways. Also, I encountered a glitch towards the end that stopped me from continuing, so I had to quit. I decided to attack a merchant vessel but when I went into the battle screen, I couldn't do anything. I couldn't even flee. All I could do was sit there and watch them sink my beautiful ship... But other than that rather irritating glitch, I thought this was a pretty fun game.

In case anyone was wondering what Davey Jone's Locket does; when you have it, encounters with sirens gives you gems instead of stealing your crew(: Took me a while to notice that.

This is a pretty badass game. I can see the influence from Sid Meier's Pirates and other games. I know was another game with grape shot and chain shot... Pirates of Arcadia on Dreamcast maybe.

I beat this game twice and had fun the first time.......One of the main flaws of this game is that (as far as I can tell) there are no real decisions to make until you get the last ship. The gameplay prior to that is the same and so it becomes really repetitive.........The boat combat is severely lacking. All you do is spam the attacks that work and there is no skill needed. It might as well have been on autopilot. It would be cool if there was an RPG turn based style combat system. And that there are different enemy types (quantity and quality) that require specific tactics.........I really liked the idea of different endings and getting rewards for each ending.
Thanks! Will definitely rework the combat in the sequel. Also, while the multiple endings are definitely popular, it seems that having to start a new game each time is not.. so I'll move back towards a more traditional setup for the sequel that lets you beat the game then gives you infinite time to go through and unlock all the rest of the stuff.

Ok so I can locate the hiden island, I click on it while I have maxed out ship and crew, and notthing happens, it says about magnetic field bla bla bla and there is no option to continue. When I have the first ship and immediatly at first "13th" week go to the island also nothing realy happens ... is there anything to do at all? What do You have to do/have to complete the island quest?

150 heavily armed crew members is enough to take El Dorado. Map to the Fountain of Youth is gained as a reward from the Pirate King if you sack Hydra Keep for him but there's a sea monster defending the fountain that eats 1/2 your crew each time you visit it.

I feel the introduction and game makes the feeling pretty pointless, I am randomly clicking things for no purpose whatsoever, and only after a certain amount of weeks I am told I am on some form of time limit, for no apparent reason, I would love to either see a better introduction, or a more engaging gameplay, might just be me as usual ^.^

Actually I don't think any of this is really challenging. Great game. No doubt. But if you have the artemis ship there is nothing really dangerous. An idea for a sequel might be to have challenge modes where you have less weeks or more bad things to encounter. Could get a little frustrating but would keep the urge to play it again. That's my biggest problem. I had a lot of fun playing it the first 5-6 times but then it got really boring because I just have to repeat the same things nad just differ a bit in the end.

the hardest part of the game is spending imeasurable weaks recruiting crew. i spent over 40 weeks just hiring the crew to sack el dorado, and barely finished with 3 weeks left.

Oh, something that would be neat to see, is that when boarding an enemy ship or destroying their sales, instead of just offering death/marooning, there should be an option to invite members of the defeated crew in joining our crew. Not saying all of them, but maybe a formula based off of a base percentage like 15% modified by reputation and current crew morale (thought the 15% + 1/4 current morale as a % + reputation [or minus for evil players]), but give a slight penalty to the ships morale for all the new crew members joining?

A nice feature for the cargo would be a screen which tells which of the special crew we have, because sometimes it just gets annoying, being unable to remember if I have the cook, carpenter, surgeon, and the navigator. Though I do enjoy all the things that are listed, and noticing how the morale and reputation icons change with the numbers. : )
It does have a save which works, so this is most likely a local issue for you.. see the kongregate help page for advice: http://www.kongregate.com/pages/help#savesmissing

i think there is a bug that when sometimes starting a battle you can't click the buttons and you take damage from the enemies but you can't see the action either

I can't figure out how to find Jacob. Great game, but it felt as if it was missing something, can't figure out what though. Perhaps more interaction?

when you try to fight the ship in el dorado your game glitches and you die and cant attack. You must refresh your web page to continue playing the game and have to restart.
