Sometime this year~
I'll be making an announcement here (as well as our social media channels) when it's ready so be sure to follow this game (or E/C social) to stay up to date.

For the second time, my game had erased all of my progress.... Please implement a skip cutscene function, i am sick of trying to spam click through them all to get back to my previous spot. 1/5 until further notice

In chapter 15 I can't see the dialogues after Rae smashes his Gemini. I can only see Capital O, T and U as well as colons and quotation marks.

I'm in love with this game! I took my time to finish it, played few chapters each day just to stretch it and let everything sink in. Truly a masterpiece! I would kill for a physical copy of this (which I know will never happen).
I was never a fan of reading games, I usually just skip all the dialogue and rush through just to get the badge, but this one.. oh boy. I was absorbing every single word. I'll stop with the praises here since I can go on and on.
Thank you very much for this beautiful game, looking forward to Act 2!

Story rich, interesting characters and cliffhangers which make you desperate for more. The puzzle system with the ask button really helps flesh out the contestants while helping you to see what you're overlooking. Play for a good mix of riddle and interactive fiction. And if the dev(s) can see this: this is amazing. Thanks and I can't wait for arc 2!
Glad you enjoyed it! Working hard on Arc 2 as we speak.
If you want to support the game, consider following the game on Twitter or Reddit or joining the Discord server.

awesome game, played through all of it in 1 day while reading the entire story. i feel like the ending(as it is now) isnt actually the way its going to go down like.
Thanks! I hope you'll look forward to Arc 2 when it arrives next year. If you're looking to discuss the end of chapter 17 with other fans, I'd suggest checking out the subreddit or the Discord server!

Played through the first few chapters, and so for the game is awesome! There is just this one weird bug. From time to time older lines of dialogue keep replacing the "real dialogue" for a split second. They are in yellow and when they are Ink's thoughts they have the word "internal" in front of them. Makes it a bit difficult to follow the story. Or maybe this is some artsy twist to the game that i am not getting?!
Hey there! Scrolling back to previous dialogue (with the yellow tint) happens when you scroll up with the scroll wheel or hit left on the arrow keys. It's possible you did one of those things unintentionally; if it happens again, you can press the down arrow key to jump back to where you were instantly.

This game is...AMAZING. Two days after playing it, and I'm googling redit's theories from this game. Great work! I think you have made a legitimately amazing story that works so perfectly well in the game medium. One word: PERFECTION!

I reached Chapter 13 then a few days later I came back on and it sent me back to Chapter 1. Does anyone know how to fix that?

On chapter 13, and all progress lost :(
While the story is very good, I don't know if I can face the excruciating amount of useless clicking it takes to progress again. It's like reading a graphic novel where you have to turn two or three pages per speech bubble.

that was amazing. really amazing. i played beginning to end in one sitting. and now i have to wait forever for the second half of the story.
to people who havent played yet: you HAVE to play this game. but not yet. do yourself a favour and bookmark it for when its released in its entirety

I was on chapter 14 and I closed the game. When I returned sometime later and opened it again my data got erased. Help!

Text that rolls out a bit at a time is the most awful design choice in any game. In a text heavy game like this, it's unbearable. Just pop it straight up! A paragraph at a time would be even better. Same for the text conversations - pop it all up at once, please!

I tried the top comment's suggestion, and at some point between zero and 12 hours (the time that I checked it again), the timer disappears and you get ¯\_(-_-)_/¯

Incredibly good game, frustrating delivery. Having the each individual letter appear seriously detracts from the experience.

And the sad feeling of a read good book is here. It'll be a pain to wait for sequel. But that just proves how great this VN is.
Great job! After a long time I've got invested in a game with such a great plot, writing... everything!

When Rae tries to pick the lock, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Why would an electrically-controlled lock even have a keyhole for him to pick? And why would the lock be in the doorknob?
This game is full of Britishisms, like "colour", so it seems like it takes place in the UK. But Beth's money is a bunch of Benjamin Franklins.
Why doesn't Ink ever use his Gemini to ask for help with puzzles?

I thought I had a really clever solution to the second puzzle. The 'white space' provided by the seven took up 4 of the 16 total squares, leaving 12, so I used it to divide the screen into two sets of 6 squares each. Guess they were looking for the letter instead.

This game is amazing. I love the story, and the puzzles are challenging. I hope this game will be finished soon. Or I could Die...

Just noticed: The game seems to get more and more laggy (text appears stuttering) when playing in cinematic mode (on Firefox at least). With no cinematic mode I had no issues.
