I really, really, really wanted to pick the red door as soon as he said I could choose. Not needing to hear the rest, imagine my disappointment when what I wanted to choose was not really possible...

This is filling the Zero Escape-shaped hole in my heart--excellent writing, fun puzzles, and interesting characters make for a great game!

I started out thinking this game was "too much text" before settling down to think of it as a fun graphic novel that just happens to have some puzzles. I actually went from "Oh, I have to do seven of these?" to thinking about the Contestants and their story when I was driving in the car and unable to wait to get home and continue. I am now anxiously awaiting Arc 2.
This is really superb stuff. I can't give it the review it deserves. Really wonderful. Congratulations on a fine project you can be proud of.

If any one else is like me and likes to figure stuff out on their, you probably have not read the instructions in the game tab either. I thought that I had "discovered" that I could scroll through the dialogue, but the game tab actually has instructions that tell you how to do that and even how to skip it, so there is that.

Is it just me or does some of the dialogue move faster than the rest? I just started the game and it has progressed on its own at least twice without me doing anything or being able to finish reading it
There are a couple lines where characters "interrupt" each other. You can always scroll back to see it if you didn't catch it (arrow keys/scroll wheel).

Already in the first chapter, Ink and Aether just decide to take a chance at dying by not leaving the room. "Move or you could die..." I ain't that stupid, I'm running like my life depends on it

just too little to do ... too much talk talk talk for no point. I get the idea of the story but there has to be a balance between story and play. Not much play.

Can I just say, this has got to be one of the best games I have ever played on congregate, if not the best? The only flaw this game has, is that- I'm not sure if this is just me, or happens to everybody- the game doesn't save once I click off. I've gotten to level 13 (or another double-digit I can't remember) but have had to play through all of the levels twice now. It's really frustrating when I try to play the game again ;u;

... seems like it didn't actually delete ALL my progress on the second crash... also, choices have an ACTUAL impact in the game? (extra- standings- ... thrust meter???)

SPOILERS!! It is around the second Chapter that I suddenly realise that this Sent must be one of them. As I have read Agatha Christie's murder/mystery novel And Then There Were None, with a similar plot, that the murderer is one of the participants. And my suspicions are confirmed when Chapter 4 has ended. Pat in the back, me...

Well, I like the game when it lets me play it... but it's already crashed the tab and lost all my progress TWICE tonight (at the start of chapter 6, and then chapter 5). It really struggles to start chapters it seems, but if I get through the first couple screens of one I'm good to go. And since it struggles harder with every chapter, I am genuinely concerned that I may never make it to the end of what's been posted. That's... yikes. And this is in a quest!

There's a principle in visual media called "show, don't tell"
This game had WAY too much text to be entertaining. Why have 4 cahracters TELL me there are 4 hand scanners rather than just bloody showing it?

Could you add a feature where if you hold down the mouse button, it skips through dialogue way faster. Some of us don't have autoclicker mouses. And if I switch from computer to computer, my progress doesn't save even on the same kong account

Needs an export and import save function. HTML5 saves, unlike Flash saves, are more difficult for me to locate and thus backup locally.

At first I was going to skip all these dialogues. Then I started reading and couldn't really stop. Not everything makes total sense, but the whole package is very fun and exciting. The developer put A LOT of thought into this!

Hi, my name's Ink, and I rely on a senior named Beth to calm down a bunch of stupid college jocks. Oh, but Aether's chill

Game didn't save and no way to skip dialogue...not sure I can be bothered to work through five chapters again before getting back to where I was. :(

Why have I played it? There's still no ending and I long for it! This game is too good to stop right in the middle! I want more!

As soon as I got to chapter 6 the game kept crashing. Also if I switch computers all of my data is gone and I have to start from scratch.

Some people may enjoy a visual novel type of game... but badging it and even make it part of the "Best of 2017" and force more traditional gamers to "play" it and mashing the spacebar for half a century before anything interactive is happening, just doesn't feel right ... it's not the game's fault, but rather poor decision making by the admins

I just finished chapter 17 and my god... this game is so intriguing and has a perfect balance of story, puzzle, interactivity, and mystery. I couldn't even take a break halfway through and I'm dying to play more.
