I think there's too much idle chat, after chapter 15 it becomes boring and you learn you can skip a lot of dialogues without losing the plot..

You GOT to be kiddng me!! This is where you break things of this time??? I waited over a year for new episodes to come out since playing up to episode 17 and this is where it comes to a halt?? Just finish episode 25 and I sincerely hope you finish the rest of this game soon dev and i do hope you finish in style becasue you have mounted a hell of a lot of suspense here. Truly loving it!!

> while replaying this game again, I realize that you should cherish those around you, while also keeping a distance. Trusting at a distance basically. Also, Sent is my favourite character. Annoying and Fun.

So the MORE white in my "Trust" standings the LEAST I trust that person? Keep your friends close... and your enemies closer.
Guess I'm doing it Inspector Columbo style: stalk the crook! Is it early 2019 yet?

*SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 21(I think, I forgot what chapter I'm on)* When Ink's texting sent and is saying not to everything I'm just like, wait a sec I would like to know more about sent- did you just pass up a map of the hotel!?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I like that the game developer made Sent so flawed, because it makes the story more engaging. They're clearly lying about a few things, along with the recorded messages thing. The group of people can't be made to work alone, as they've needed each other's ideas and input to solve all the puzzles. Two of the corners have been set-up to end with the person's death, and that's the trap. By not falling for it thus far, they're heading the right way.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Does Sent remind anyone else of GLaDOS from the Portal series? They are both rogue, murderous AI's in isolated locations who derive great pleasure from making people complete various puzzles.

Also now that the "all the bathrooms are locked" thing has been pointed out it's really bugging me that apparently no one's needed the restroom in 16 hours or whatever it's been?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This is a visual novel, not a puzzle game. You can't make any choices and the puzzles are all the same and not challenging or interesting. You just click through a ton of mediocre dialog. I don't know why this was on the "Best of 2017" list. The only redeeming factor is (spoiler follows) a trans protagonist...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
First things first: I love the game. I think it's briliantly devised with a just enough puzzle elements to keep it from being just a long mystery story.
My problem with it is that there is now such a long gap between chapters, I'm struggling to keep the momentum of narrative in my mind; it's becoming a bit disjointed. I checked in today to see what was new and I realised I had no idea of which was the last episode I'd played - even after I ran through a dozen screens of the latest... :(
I would suggest that the dev releases future episodes in batches - even if this means we have to wait longer.
Hate to say it, but I've lost the enthusiasm with this... :(
Sorry...

really to get "best of 2017" I have to watch a walkthrough that last more than 1 hour on youtube? why this game has been choosed among best 2017???

Next is the common theory that SENT isn't one person but four, namely Sean, Earl, Nolan, and Tianna. If there's 4 known contacts, four characters, four corners (each corner seems tailored to a certain person at that) then that rules that one of the starting five shouldn't be there. I believe that to be Aether since her contact has never really gotten much of any significant details in the game. Furthermore, the occupations and college degree focus of the four contacts really do work together to make something like a virtual reality sort of thing. Perhaps Sean and Tianna know where they are and that's why they don't stress the same way as the others and why Sean was perfectly okay with sacrificing himself. He's not really dying and perhaps Beth didn't either. Of course all this means Aether may be an avatar placed into the program to monitor everybody.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Alrighty I might as well post my theory. It's probably a common one too. So spoilers ahead.
I think it's virtual reality. This can be determined by certain things working on certain people such as the gas in the first corner that is shown to have no effect on one of the people while causing the others to choke and panic. It also explains why a certain weapon isn't real but was able to work as if it were real, almost as if it worked because people thought it was real at first.

So, we have a feels train in memorial for Sean,
A Danganronpa of a Mystery for Beth,
Some stuff with Liza,
And Ink x Aether is a ship, but I say It's Canon

HelloIamppost, he's still with the team. He didn't go anywhere in 25. He just didn't have any input after they went to the room. Now I wonder who else knew about what Ink discovered with the doors. I think it might be the clairvoyant person. I won't give spoilers to those who started the game and still need to get to the most current chapter, but my money is on that person at the end.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've already gotten both badges for Exit/Corners,but the game has sucked me in.The story is great, the character personalities are very realistic. I'm going to see this through to the end to see what twists and turns come along, and find out who Sent is!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the first game that I saw that doesn't lets you skip the (endless) dialogue but let's you skip the puzzles. Too much clicking but good story and puzzles--
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I just feel dislike about Ink from the early eps. Now I believe more that he is the real murder&designer. multi-personality or somewhat. And I kind of like SENT somehow.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've been playing this game for the better part of a year now and I'm pretty sure that however much of a sadist SENT might be, it's nothing compared to the PERCON.
I'm actually getting tired of the twists and the suspense- I'm ready to learn what the hell is actually going on.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
im... theres somthing weird about the voice. throughout the entire game, weve only made desicions for ink. so why all of a sudden do we get the option for the voice. and, maybe i just noticed because it lost my data, the options are very first options we made, when we met aether. through the entire conversation, through the entire chapter, we made few desisions, and one was for a character we by no right should control, and the conversation was what triggered it. but the weirdest thing is, we could change the answer, we could pick a diffrent option, we could change the past... or we could die.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
(Spoiler )"refuses to listen..." I didn't realize it earlier but this choise of words, and the fact that it was when we picked an option Ink figured the voise in his head tried to control him, so can it be, are WE, the players, the voice in Ink's head. But then there's eather, you know what I mean.

WARNING!!! NEXT THREE COMMENTS MADE BY ME CONTAIN SPOILERS!!! PLEASE DO NOT READ THEM IF YOU ARE NOT CAUGHT UP WITH THE GAME!!!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Also, game devs if you're reading this, take this into consideration making the next chapters since I know yalls are making this up as you go. (Most likely you are. Sorry if you aren't and I'm sorry that I'm just assuming) Welp. That's it.

Also, when Tiana gives her story of being captured, she claims that a bomb thingy flew through her window then started spewing smoke. If Sent was truly an AI with no body. He possibly couldn't be able to do this. This concludes my first theory. Sent is a human being. It would also explain a bunch of other things that I don't want to get too into. My second theory is that the voice inside of Ink is also Sent. Think about it. If Sent has the ability to give the gift of sight to someone and take it away all so easily, obviously he has weird powers that for now, is unexplainable. He can easily use these powers to get into someone's head. Since Sent has already confessed his love for Ink, it would be reasonable to see that at the end of the chapter he would help Ink and tell him how to unlock the door handles to further lead into the game. I don't have as much evidence to back this up but with inferences and filling in the blanks, some of you may see how this makes sense.

SPOILER WARNING!!! QUIT READING NOW IF YOU AREN'T UP TO DATE ON THE GAME!!! Alright. My thoughts about Beth. I've had a feeling right from the beginning and I still stick with it. Sent is a person. Either that or he has a henchman or someone working for him. Think about it. How could Sent possibly put all the contestants, and also the new "contestants" into the hotel in the first place if he claims to only be an AI? There's no possible way for him to do that. If there was a possible way for him to do that, there'd only be one way. That is if he creates a robot of himself to move around like a normal human being. He'd be able to abduct the contestants. Anyways, that's not my theory. My theory is that Sent is truly a person. Think about it. Sean claimed he was being followed by someone and then being grabbed or whatever and that was all he can remember. That was most likely Sent.

"yelling at an inanimate object is a waste of breath" That's not something a programmer would ever say. YOU CAN'T FOOL ME, RAE

SPOILER WARNING! Quit reading now if you aren't up to date on the game.
Okay guys, I hate to say it, but it's got to be Aether who did it. Think about it for a little bit. Ink and Liza are automatically ruled out, as they were in the boiler room when the murder took place. Rae is for all intents and purposes above suspicious because lifting a painting heavy enough to kill with only one arm seems implausible, at least. That leaves Tiana, Sean, and Aether. I think it's fair to say it wasn't likely Sean unless we're REALLY missing some critical information about his character, and Tiana has absolutely no motive to kill Beth and wants to get out of the situation as soon as possible. And that only leaves...

that was one hell of a cliffhanger... just as well the new chapters come out next year, i need time to compartmentalise all these painful emotions ;-;

This might be my second comment ever on Kongregate, and lo and behold it's for the same game: this one! I wanted to say cheers to the dev for continuing to update this over a year past release. I sat down for 8 chapters in a row today and took a break when my finger got tired of clicking or hitting keys. I'm not even typically a fan of this kind of genre, but this game is great, thank you for keeping the game fresh, I have something to look forward to!
