I got it working by decompiling the .swf with FFDEC, and bypassing the version check. STOP USING POINTLESS VERSION CHECKS!

"Download the latest adobe flash player".
I tried in FF and Chrome and the issue persists.
I attempted to update to the latest version from the link and the issue was not resolved.
It seems to be an issue of the game.

the programmer seemed to assume that the flash player that was up-to-date when he programmed this game would never be developed further, so he programmed an "equal" comparison instead of an "lesser" comparison. really dumb!

setzer61 It's a miracle. Such a lame fate of that game, I did not expect I would play it since it did not load. Thanks. You've recommended a good yet handy tool (flash projector.)

Game needs to be fixed so that it works with the latest version of flash, or just doesn't require you to have a specific version. Minimal rating.

Have the solution here. Download and play with flash projector 11 from http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters/11/flashplayer_11_sa_32bit.exe
and "File" -> "Open" -> http://assets.kongregate.com/gamez/0017/6359/live/space-croissant.swf?kongregate_game_version=1370095512

Now as a level 450 guy, the enemies may one shot me, but I hit like a truck. On Steroids. I mean seriously 60k per hit.

well this is cool and I like to brag, so it works well together. See I finally got a full set of green tier gear at level 250. I never run out of mana, so I'm constantly using my enrage ability, and once I have my crits deal over 14k damage :D I love this game!

if you get a set of gear that says "of the sun" do you get some sort of bonus? Just wondering because I feel like there should be gear sets.

I would love to have my top stats recorded as a sort of personal high score; and record of what items I had when I was at the top of my game.

As a lot of others have mentioned, the regeneration is kinda silly - it's the only reliable way to recover health. After that, my main problem is with not knowing what you're up against. I do like what appear to be randomized enemies, in that some of them will randomly have a lot of power, for example. But there is no way to know which one will be slugging you for half your health in one hit, so there's no strategy to avoid it... just instagib. And then if you managed to kill the monster, you have to either wait 5 minutes for your health to regen, or just keep going until you randomly get hit with another slugger that you couldn't have foreseen.

too easy after level 100+. i stopped lvl 2011, insane stats but the ennemies's damages increase a lot. (i have screenshots)

Very enjoyable but as soon as I get up to the level of competence from my last game, I die again. :c Save-game feature would be nice.

I retire after reaching Level 1010 on day 58. I could easily keep going as long as I kept the balance, but there is an inherent flaw without an inventory. The stats start getting so high that changing items to increase one stat means giving up 10s of thousands of points in another stat, if there isn't an item to replace the lose. I started making mental notes of items passed so I could return to get them once I found another item for the stat replacement. I suspect that this would only get worse, and with the exponential increase in stats on items (from 30-50k stats one day and then 70-90ks the next), I suspect that I may not make it to 2000. But the main reason I'm quitting is because the leveling system is backwards. I've been getting a level every kill for at least 450 levels and it slows the gameplay down a lot. The levels aren't even worth it, with only 5 points per level. Ridiculously insignificant compared to item upgrades of 10s of thousands all the time.

Level 500 and beyond: Get your regen started healing you enough to keep you alive, then later balance your regen with your armor and health to withstand the hits that have to be regained. (I put almost every level into armor) You may start off hitting softly, but don't let that tempt you into sacrificing regen for damage, damage will come easier later on. Regen and Armor should be your main focus, because later increases of damage start jumping by hundreds if armor isn't greatly increased, and you will need those heals to be at least 600-800 by ~Lv500. You'll start needing more than the natural 2k or so HP, 1 or 2 items with some HP should be enough. Luck should be the 3rd or 4th priority, just enough to keep rare items dropping, but it doesn't have to be in the thousands. I'm level 522, 12k HP, 35k armor, 1100 regen, with 65k awesomeness, and getting a level every kill...

What I find even more annoying than the HP regen and lack of a map, is the unresponsive nature of the controls. Aside from some times not responding at all, a small movement of the mouse during a click to move will cause you not to move. I suspect this is done so you don't move when moving around items, but I'd rather have a different item pickup method instead of a shotty control system.
