A note for others; there's actually an additional weapon slot/accessory for Interceptor (just click 1 square right from the rightmost box). Been failing the last boss for multiple times before knowing I forgot to maximize my damage output.

The hidden extra slot on each ship's modification and weapon sets actually does work, and the easiest way to check this is by slapping Emergency Device or SETA Device in there and using your secondary fire, or a weapon you don't already use.
As for ships, the interceptor does have some serious firepower, but the tactician has something even more useful. It's the only ship with high energy and recharge rate. Granted, it's weapon slots are the worst and the scout can get just as many accessories, but all of those accessories that can save your life require energy to use. Slow down time, pump a TON of lead into a boss, turn bullets into coins...I didn't miss the firepower of the interceptor that much.

I like the fastpaced gameplay, but the movement speed is too quick! Makes it impossible to narrowly dodge shots, especially against bosses.

Tips for impossible badge: First of all, missiles are your friends. You can sit anywhere and they'll do all the aiming for you. Next, energy absorbers. Trust me, you'll want all the overload you can get. Third, time slowing overload, always handy. Can't go wrong with extra boss damage too. Go through each level the whole way before going for unharmed, so you know what to expect. Despite being counter-intuitive, lag is your friend here. The slight drop in fps you get while engaging time slowing could save your ship. Last of all, you're going for unharmed. Pick the interceptor, its low health doesn't matter if you aren't being hit. And of course, if you're finding it hard, pick a lower score multiplier, that doesn't affect the badge.

Lol try not to get high on scraping, it's fun and has its benefits but just don't get high or you'll die. Trust me I've done it too many times.

Bah! After configuring your ship the way you prefer there needs to be an option to turn off coin drops I can't see bullets cause of the coins dropping.

IMPOSSIBLE BADGE TIPS: First of all, get the 'interceptor' ship. Play on kamikaze (no hits allowed) and casual (bosses and enemies are weaker and bullets are slower). Completely focus on dodging, money won't be a big issue. Get 8 cannons and 1 rocket (yea, the ninth weapon slot is in dark green and hidden but if you click on it you can buy a weapon there:p), and 3 power booster, 3 overdrive drive and 2 Absorption panels. For those looking for suggestions configurations, here is what I suggest to breeze through the game: Ship: Bomber. Weapons: 2x Laser, 6x Particle Launcher. Accessories: 3x Advanced Targeting, 3x Power Booster, 3x Magnet. For the most part, you can stay near the bottom, nudge side to side to dodge a few bullets, and let magnets collect coins.

Actually not too difficult as far as Impossible badges go. Very last level will take a few tries, but very doable! Setup: Interceptor, all Missiles, 3x Absorption Panels, 3x Advanced Targeting, 1x SETA device (hidden slot on both Weapons and Accessories). Get the rhythm down for dodging as many as possible, then use secondary (with SETA to slow down bullets) to dodge the really close waves.

Heck... I just figured out in the end of all levels that you don't need to avoid bullets, but glide on them for multiple bonus. And sparks are not from damaged hull... it's awesomeness of the game flying around!

Actually, for me this was one of the easier impossible badges. My first time through, I played it as a tactician using both of the non-OHKO difficulties. Finished almost every stage, and got GOOD at dodging doing so. After the badges came out and I realized there was no difficulty requirements, I started a new file with the Interceptor, casual, and Kamikaze modes. This essentially multiplied my power by 4 or 5, and I was able to breeze through in about an hour and a half.

Decent enough game, however the death animation is way to long without being able to skip it, and it is way too easy to drag your mouse off the bottom of the game and suddenly you ruined a clean run-through

Gah! so close to the impossible badge! I wish I could see weapon stats and I wish there was something so I would know when the Emergency Device (accessory that turns enemy bullets into coins) recharges. I have some idea of when it recharges but I've died so many times because I used it to early or it hadn't recharged when I needed it. Great game tho. Looking forward to more!

This Impossible badge is rather easy if you play in Casual mode with the Interceptor. Go with an offensive loadout (scraping -> attack power, + boss damage, + secondary damage) for the majority of the game; switch over to a stall loadout (emergency devices, scraping -> energy, bullet slow) for 4-3B and 5-3B. 5-3B is the only real challenge with this setup.

just a thought i think it would be good if we could buy/sell weapon and accessory slots, having a maximum combination of the two, along with the other speeds and such so that part way through the game we do not have to restart to attain a preferable ship, because we are unsure of what is best before starting the first time.
